Yeah, Persia was changed into Iran. I think it had part to do with the 1977 Iranian Revolution.

The revolution in 1977 had an ideological/religious basis and did not change the geographical borders of Iran. Since 1977 Iran is one of the two teocratical states in the world. The first one to guess the other gets a cookie, or a bad hairdo or... something else.
