I'd like to see you screaming in pain when you have those needles written on your schlong by a gay tattoo artist.

Yeah, that part doesn't suit me at all. I'm totally against drugs I should've mentioned that.

So, you're a psycho? Breathe is a good song, granted.

irrc, leadman stephen jenkins said the song was about them doing speed and acid

psycho? nah.. the song reminds me of my job, where things just get crazy sometimes. whether its the cooks calling in sick or being lazy , the gay maitre'd complaining, or self righteous customers, etc

Don't just go flashing an 'Eagle' or 'Dragon' in your arm, do something that holds a historic or philosophical significance to you... something that can motivate you each day when you look at yourself in the mirror.

I'm consider to get this one. It's small animal called Hermelin which also is my last name so I could never get wrong with that one

Well duh.. He was the original Guns N roses drummer. There wouldn't be guns n roses with him.. since it was his idea to get axl and izzy....

March 26th, 1985 - A flyer for a show at The Troubadour in Los Angeles says "L.A Guns and Hollywood Rose presents the band Guns N' Roses". The band's line-up is: Axl, Izzy, Tracii Guns, Ole Beich and Rob Gardner.
The band calls themselves Guns N' Roses (they rejected the names Heads Of Amazon and AIDS).

Later Duff joins the band and the lineup looks like this:

W. Axl Rose (vocals)
Izzy Stradlin (guitar)
Tracii Guns (guitar)
Duff McKagan (bass)
Rob Gardner (drums)

I'm aware of tracii guns.. who claims he wrote the guitar riffs on appetite for destruction.

I've always considered Duff, Slash, Steven, Axl & Izzy, the only version of Guns N roses that counts.

So the GNR (with matt sorum) that recorded the albums
USE YOUR ILLUSION I & II dosen't count In your opinion?

Totally agree. (Y)
Both "Illusion" albums are great, but Appettite and Lies pwn them.

Thu Jul 21, 2005 5:37 am

Hell no. Songs like Estranged, Locomotive, November Rain, Civil War (all from the "Use your illusion II" album) etc is on a much higher level than the songs on "Appetite" (Paradise city, Sweet child oh mine, Welcome to the jungle, Rocket Queen etc). Sure it was more pure rock on the "Appetite" album but it was also less quality in music perspective. The "Use your Illusions II" album offer so much more for the ear than the "Appetite" album.

I won't comment on "Lies" since I find it unfair to compare that album to any of the other (due the acustic choice). It was some years ago since I last heard that whole album (only got "Patience" from that album on my 2 GNR's mix cd's).

BTW: Spaghetti Incident = (N)

Thu Jul 21, 2005 5:59 am

Lies is AMAZING, all of the four songs are the shit.
"Used To Love Her" is hilarious, "Patience" is THE song in that album, "You're Crazy" is much better here (acoustic), and I don't remember which is the other one.

In "Illusions I", there are maximum 2 good songs.
In "Illusions II" there are better songs like "Civil War", "Estranged" and "You Could Be Mine" (I love that one). I am listening right now to "Get In The Ring"!!! I think I'll sing a bit!!

**THAT GOES FOR ALL YOU PUNKS IN THE PRESS THAT WANNA START SHIT BY PRINTIN LIES INSTEAD OF THE THINGS WE SAID, THAT MEANS YOU ANDY ?????? AT HIT PARADER (?), CIRCUS MAGAZINE, MICK WALL AT KERRANG! BOB ??????? JR. AT SPIN, WHY'D YOU PISSED OFF BECAUSE YOUR DADDY GETS MORE PUSSY THAN YOU??? FUCK YOU SUCK MY FUCKIN DICK!! YOU'D ME RIPPIN OFF THE FUCKIN KIDS WHILE THEY'RE PAYING THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY TO READ ABOUT THE BANDS THEY WANNA KNOW ABOUT, PRINTIN LIES, STARTING CONTROVERSY, YOU WANNA ANTAGONIZE ME MUTHAFUCKER?? GET IN THE RING MUTHAFUCKER, AND I'LL KICK YOUR BITCHY LITTLE ASS....PUNK.... :headbang: **

Good music...

Well "Illusion I" isn't as good as "Illusion II" but it's still pretty good album. It got 4 awesome songs on it Coma, November Rain, The Garden & Dead horse, the rest is just good or average.

All songs are great on that album (except the last one which I don't even consider to be a song).
It's really hard to pic a top 3 song on that album but it would maybe be
1. Estranged, 2. Breakdown, 3. Civil war.

I don't know what do people find in "The Garden", it's pretty dull to me.
The other three are brilliant, of course. (Y)

Despite everything, I do love those illusion albums... but. That 1st bunch of guys had great chemistry.. GnR was all about rocking out.

Matt is a better technical player then Steven, but steve just had more emotion. I'm also a big Velvet revolver fan, and I've seen them live (Y). But when its all said and done, he was just a replacement.

My personal favourites of the illusions.

Use your illusion 1 - Live and let die, Don't cry (y), Garden of eden, Coma(Y), dead horse... and just the 2nd half of november rain.

Use your illusion 2 - Yesterdays, Knocking on heavens door, pretty tied up, so fine, estranged (Y)(Y) , you could be mine...

And that forth single from lies was "one in a million", the one with teh racist remarks against immigrants and nigg*rs. Even though Slash is half black. :?

I see matt's joining as and huge update instead.
Have you seen his incredible drum solo when they played live in Tokyo 92? I doubt that Adler could perform something like that.
