UPDATE: Miami Court & NewBackboard v3.1

Postby bchogan on Sat Mar 08, 2003 8:31 am

--New to Miami Court v3.1: Due to an error on my part, the previous version had an uncompressed fsh file, which can cause crashes on some systems due to its size. I have corrected the size in this version. I have also darkened the lane area and graphics colors to be more accurate, moved the end line "miami heat" graphics closer to the court and added the "Burger King" logo to the backboard (still has "sharp" logo on backboard, too, and "nike.com" drnas).
--The NewBackboard patch v3.1 has been updated to look more accurate as well.
Check the Read Me in the backboard folder for instructions on forcing Live to use only the high detail backboard model (for those of you using lower "environment" detail settings).

Come on bchogan..did you really need to start a whole new thread when the other one is right below this? Next time i'll merge them myself...but just letting you know.

good intentions doesn't help cluster and redundancy does it? :)

I'm not trying to start a flame war or anything, but I wanted to say why I started a new thread instead of just posting the update in the old thread.
I started a new thread because even though this is a patch update, it's still a new patch and I wanted to make sure that anyone looking at the Announcements section could differentiate between the old patch announcement and the new one. If I had just posted this in the old thread, chances are that people would overlook it, especially if they had already downloaded the patch, and I wanted to make sure that anyone who already has it knows that there's a new version.
And the only reason the old patch thread was "right below" this one is because I was the last one to post on that one, right before I started this new thread (as you can see, it isn't "right below" anymore, and hasn't been for a while).
I want to make sure that I'm not trying to be difficult; Thug, I can see why you mentioned the redundancy of this thread. But I think I've stated why it was worthy of a new thread. I'll keep all this in mind if a similar situation every arises, though.
ANYWAY, back to the patch itself. There was a problem when I tried to update the sites and some of the pages didn't upload. I think I've got it all straightened out now. The patch should now be available on all the sites (provided that the sites themselves are up).

THE MIAMI HEAT COURT IS INCREDIBLE    Go BCHOGAN, Keep ballin!

Come on Thug, BCHogan should have as many threads as he want this guy should have some special priveledges, he makes awesome, I do mean AWESOME COURTS, which looks pretty hard to do. Lets keep him motivated, he's the only hope we have of seeing a Rucker's Park in this game  :D
