PHILADELPHIA, November 11 (Ticker) -- With the 76ers trying to tighten up on their home stretch, the Chicago Bulls tightened up their defense. The Bulls limited Allen Iverson to four points in the second half and rallied in the fourth quarter for a 109-106 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers that snapped the Sixers six game winning streak. Ben Gordon scored a career-high 35 points and Kirk Hinrich added 19 for the Bulls (4-3) who were the first to defeat the 76ers for the season. "We just needed this win for our confidence," Hinrich said. "It was just a complete team effort. The guys made plays when we needed them. Everybody did a great job tonight and it's going to take a great team effort from this point on."
Chicago did it with defense, outscoring the Sixers 35-24 in the 4th quarter. The Bulls frustrated Iverson, one of the NBA's top scorer’s who produced just 17 points and only attempted 9 shots. "Allen had 13 at halftime and he ended up with 17," Bulls coach Scott Skiles said. "It wasn't that we were terrible on him in the first half. He's slippery, he's good and we had a little trouble with him. In the second half, we got back much better. We forced him into passing the ball and we did an outstanding job on him."
"People are going to talk about what they (Chicago) did to me," Iverson said. "Every time that I don't play well in the second half, that is going to be the case. I think that they played great. They did what they had to do to stop me tonight. They had me to the point of where I couldn‘t even shoot the ball so I had to give it up. The way I played tonight, a high school team could have beaten us." A 3-pointer by Gordon gave the Bulls the lead for good at 97-95 with 4:32 to play. Eddy Curry added a jump hook before a 3-pointer by John Salmons made it a one-point game with 3:06 left. Rookie Chris Duhon drew a charge from Iverson, then drew a foul for an and 1 play to put the Bulls up 102-99 at the 2:23 mark. A jumper by Chris Webber halved the deficit, but Chandler put home a miss by Gordon with 48 seconds remaining.
Iverson raced upcourt and passed it to McCants who turned the ball over by stepping out of bounds. The Bulls ran down the clock and Kirk Hinrich made one of his three 3-pointers of the game. The three-pointer sealed it at 107-101 with 17 seconds left. "He's a tremendous player. He's so quick," Duhon said. "He gets through the smallest gaps. It had to take a team effort. No one guy can guard him. We let him get to the line a couple of times and we put a lot of pressure on our big guys. We just tried to close the gap a bit and pick him up a little higher to give the guards an opportunity to stay with him." McCants had a career-high 20 points on 9-11 shooting and John Salmons added a season-high 12 off the bench for the Sixers, who had won six in a row for the start of the season.

I'm glad you liked the newspaper thing, cocobee use to use it in his dynasty every once in awhile, then I just decided to stick with it after he stop using it and just used it for every preview. Nice!

Yea, I couldn't do nothing with BG and Hinrich and instead of me just taking real bad shots with AI, I just dished the ball out because I felt that if I took the bad shots, that I would lose definitely. I still lost, but it was still a team effort.

Well he is averaging 1.6spg in my dynasty and I consider that pretty good so I consider him a solid defender in my dynasty.
I'll try to post another update today, I've just been a little busy today. So keep on the look out for my next game

This may be Iguodala's toughest matchup one-on-one against a player this season because Prince is a very tough defender with his long wingspan and it will be hard for Iguodala to get a good look at a shot against the lengthy Prince. Iggy is a better slasher than shooter so he will definitely try to take Prince and get him in foul trouble.

The Pistons will be the most competitive team the Sixers have faced so far. The Sixers are also coming off a tough 3-point loss to teh Chicago Bulls on Friday night. The game is scheduled early because it's Sunday and those type of games catch alot of players off from their daily game routines.

PHILADELPHIA, November 13 (Ticker) -- Any ideas why the Philadelphia 76ers have another loss to their column? Because they were quickly shot down by the Detroit Pistons. The Pistons made a perfect 5-5 from downtown in the 2nd half after missing all five of their attempts in the first half and finished with a 100-89 victory over the 76ers. Chauncey Billups and Richard Hamilton combined for 48 points for Detroit, which has won two straight and now hold a 6-1 record. "We are starting the season off well and that’s something we haven’t done in the last couple of seasons, hopefully we can continue it throughout the year," Hamilton said. "We're really taking our time on offense and we're playing together and hopefully we can continue to play together."
"Chauncey gets 25 points on fifteen shots, that's pretty efficient," Brown said. "Rip got it going before he got a couple of fouls. We got a lot of guys that contribute. We don't have to rely on one or two guys. We have a lot of people stepping up." The 76ers had matched a season high with two straight losses after the Bulls stoled a win and the Pistons pounced the Sixers for the worse loss of the season so far. "We played a poor game against a good basketball team," Sixers coach Jim O'Brien said. "We just didn't play well enough to be in the ballgame." Tayshaun Prince and Billups made consecutive 3-pointers for a 12-4 run at the beginning of the 3rd quarter and Hamilton along with Billups extended the run to 18-6 with 4:05 left in the third quarter. Yea, I knew things would start getting interesting as I played more competitive teams thats why I knew I wasn't going to definitely have no season like I did last year because I don't have the same team.
On a blockbuster trade, it's a possibility that it may happen, but I won't say it will or it won't. I've been looking at a couple of players so far that I like and I have alot of depth of my team and I really can't play everybody so it should be interesting to what might happen mid-season. One thing though is if I do a deal, I'll try to make it as realistic as possible rating wise, making sure the opposite team get what they really need and not a bunch of players 60 rated players for like an 80 rated player

hey Mafia, great job, i really like how the dynasty is rollin along, alot of updates, ive been readin jus not postin, those were some tough losses and still waiting for AI to have one of his big games, so far he's put up pretty modest numbers, except for the Sonics game when he scored 33, but 19, 18, 24, those r like halftime numbers for him LOL, it looks like ur tryin to spread the offense but i think ur best bet for winnin is gettin AI his and lettin the rest follow, good luck and keep up with the many updates, and ill keep readin even if i dont post too much,

Yea I'm glad I'm having some competition because without it, it would be a little boring. That what makes me continue my dynasties because I'm not going like 75-7
Tough losses, but I'm sure you'll get better as the season progresses and will beat those teams later on.
Maybe, maybe not. There were a couple of teams I had problems with last season with Phoenix, but you can expect a fight for every game against those tough teams.

The games where he scored around 18 and 19, was one game when he was hurt and I didn't want to play him thatm uch in the 2nd half because I didn't want him to get hurt again. The other game was when I played the Pistons and they just did a good job on him. I couldn't drive at all because help was always coming. There is a good chance that I can put up AI numbers by attempting 30 shots all the time but I was thinking that I mayl ose that way. I'll have to test that strategy out a little bit though. And even the real AI have 18 and 19 point games at times so I don't plan on putting those numbers up consistently at least I hope I won't have to Thanks for reading too

Yep, that's definitely not happening because Philly not the best team in the East. Iguodala was knocking down some jumpers and driving to the bucket which helped, but sometime Webber's jumper will go in and sometime it won't. I don't know what was wrong with him last game because I didn't expect him to have that much trouble against Sheed and I expected Iggy to have trouble.
Sorry for not posting my update yesterday, but I was still real busy. The same thing may happen today, but I can stay up late tonight because I have nothing to do tomorrow so I'll post an update for sure no matter what since I didn't post one yesterday.

They will be facing their former teams and this will be Thomas first time back in Philly since last season. He is playing very well for the Kings averaging a double-double with 16.3ppg and 11.8rpg which are better than Webbers' numbers in Philly who is averaging 17.5ppg and 7rpg. Webber still isn't quite in the zone like he was with the Kings offense, but he is getting there.
INSIDE THE 76ERS
The Sixers are currently on a 2-game losing skid after winning their first six games of the season. They are looking to not go 0-3 on their 3-game homestand because they will have 2 road games next that acquire alot of traveling from Los Angeles on Thursday to New York on Saturday.
INSIDE THE KINGS
Sacramento has started the season off with a solid 5-3 record and are 2nd in the Pacific behind the 6-3 Suns. Stojakovic is leading the team in scoring with 21.1ppg, while shooting 46% from downtown. After re-signing Mobley to a 1-year deal for 7.54 million, he is making the Kings think about signing him long term as he averages 18.5ppg as the 2nd leading scorer on the team.

Chris Webber struggled once again against his former team
PHILADELPHIA, November 14 (Ticker) -- Chris Webber has never had a chance to actually beat his former team, Sacramento. And in each of the three games, he hasn’t had a great shooting night just as tonight. After Allen Iverson intentionally missed a free throw with 7.4 seconds left, Dalembert grabbed the rebound and made an easy dunk that made the score 97-94. Then Webber intentionally fouled Kurt Thomas which was his 5th foul and sent him to the line with 6.1 secs left. Thomas surprisingly missed both free throws are being 2-2 from the line earlier. The Sixers grabbed the rebound and called a quick timeout with 5.2 secs and they went to Webber inside against Thomas, but Webber missed a hookshot that could’ve cut the lead to one point and the Kings grabbed the board with 2.3 secs. Bibby went to the line and drained two straight free throws that sealed the game.
Last year, the Kings surprisingly traded Webber - their leading scorer and rebounder - along with Matt Barnes and Michael Bradley to the Sixers for Kenny Thomas, Corliss Williamson and Brian Skinner. Webber is the only player that remained on the team for this season as Barnes and Bradley weren’t resigned. "I wanted to be a hero so badly and I know that these guys wanted it too," said Webber, who spent nearly seven seasons with the Kings. "I definitely need to get myself together because that easy miss was just embarrasing. They've tried to make me comfortable. I‘ve showed what I can do, but in some games I don‘t understand what is going on." The game was tied at 75-75 after Allen Iverson made one of his three 3-pointers, but the Kings ended up going on a 7-0 run to end the quarter.
"We did what it took to win," Bibby said. "In order for us to get where we're at, we have to make tough plays and get defensive stops." Peja Stojakovic led the Kings with 24 points, Bibby and Thomas added 18 apiece and Mobley 14 for the Kings, who have won the last three games against the Sixers dating back to last season. "It was a big win for us," Bibby said. "We kept playing throughout the whole game. We struggled out the gate just a little bit, but we just hung in there.” Iverson collected 28 points, eight rebounds and nine assists and Simien added 15 and 5 rebounds for the Sixers off the bench, who have lost three straight games. "They did whatever they had to do to get the win," Iverson said. "They played better, obviously. We've just got a long way to go after this bad 3-game homestand."

The Sixers grabbed the rebound and called a quick timeout with 5.2 secs and they went to Webber inside against Thomas, but Webber missed a hookshot that could’ve cut the lead to one point and the Kings grabbed the board with 2.3 secs. Bibby went to the line and drained two straight free throws that sealed the game.
Last year, the Kings surprisingly traded Webber - their leading scorer and rebounder - along with Matt Barnes and Michael Bradley to the Sixers for Kenny Thomas, Corliss Williamson and Brian Skinner. Webber is the only player that remained on the team for this season as Barnes and Bradley weren’t resigned. "I wanted to be a hero so badly and I know that these guys wanted it too," said Webber, who spent nearly seven seasons with the Kings. "I definitely need to get myself together because that easy miss was just embarrasing. They've tried to make me comfortable. I‘ve showed what I can do, but in some games I don‘t understand what is going on." The game was tied at 75-75 after Allen Iverson made one of his three 3-pointers, but the Kings ended up going on a 7-0 run to end the quarter.
"We did what it took to win," Bibby said. "In order for us to get where we're at, we have to make tough plays and get defensive stops." Peja Stojakovic led the Kings with 24 points, Bibby and Thomas added 18 apiece and Mobley 14 for the Kings, who have won the last three games against the Sixers dating back to last season. "It was a big win for us," Bibby said. "We kept playing throughout the whole game. We struggled out the gate just a little bit, but we just hung in there.” Iverson collected 28 points, eight rebounds and nine assists and Simien added 15 and 5 rebounds for the Sixers off the bench, who have lost three straight games. "They did whatever they had to do to get the win," Iverson said. "They played better, obviously. We've just got a long way to go after this bad 3-game homestand."
