Yeah, its alot of stupid stuff the computer did in my off-season. I really don't get it, but Walker played well for Boston the previous season so I can understand, but if they were going to give him 20 mil a year, they shouldve just gave him the max.

Yea, I really like those two players. I wanted Green in the draft, but he is a higher pick so I didn't want to go for someone that was projected to go in the top 7 or 8. Simien was a late-1st round selection, but I wanted him so I let him last til' my pick in the 2nd round. Expect McCants to make a big impact and Simien should make an impact off the bench for me. As for Iggy, he may end up being an all-star this year because it's very easy to play with him IMO. I'm use to the way he plays since I'm use to playing with Phoenix. Since I have a more athletic group of players, I might end up playing some Phoenix type of basketball in Philly.

yea what a waste... or is it?

You can't really tell unless he has a bad upcoming season.

Yea Gerald Green, sorry if I got you confused with Willie Green lol. Iggy is 6'6" so he just an inch under Marion, but his athleticism is so good that it's hard not to compare them. Iggy jumpshot needs some work though. I'm glad you excited for the first game as well. It will be up very soon once I post my draft coverage because I have to make sure all the draftees are on the right team and in the right order.

can you post there overall ratings in the beginning wanna see how you edited

Well I'm not sure what you really talking about. If your talking about my Sixers roster then yea, I can do it before I start the season so I can show everyone the final roster for the season. If your talking about the draftees, then I won't be able to post those until Mark releases his draft ratings patch because all the rookies are rated 0 in zach's patch and in misow's patch, the ratings are a little too low.

Well things just got worse, with all the dbf editing done to my old dynasty, it wouldn't work after editing most of the draftees to be a certain team. So I'm just going straight to the 2nd season in another dynasty and start from there so nothing can really go wrong and that way the draft editing can be done without anythign really messing up. I will still try to post the draft results though, but I may not since the team order is going to be so messed up after going through another season.

You better do my team justice!

Good luck on this dynasty, looking foward to the draft.

 I'll try. And hopefully I can get through the draft so you can actually see it

2005 NBA Draft from NY

1.Image Andrew Bogut
Image
Height: 7-0
Weight: 242 lbs.
Position: C
College: Utah

NBA Comparison: Vlade Divac

Strengths: Bogut has an NBA-ready game and exceptional fundamentals. He always play with a high level of intensity and has a devasting drop step. He is able to shoot the jump hook with either hand with McHale-esque footwork on the block. Very sharp mechanics on his jumper with at least an 18-foot range. Can handle the ball well for a 7-footer. Very creative in establishing his positioning. Shoots an incredibly high percentage from the floor (64% this season). Unbelievable passer out of the double/triple-team along with stellar court vision. A monster on the glass and is recognize as possibly one of the best rebounders in college basketball.

Weaknesses: Has put up terrific numbers in a lackluster conference (the Mountain West is far weaker in 2004-2005 than it has been in the past). Will have to assume a high workload for one of the worst teams in the NBA next season. Not an explosive leaper and needs improvement from the free throw line. Decent in the open court, but not outstanding. Will need to take his lumps against the Duncans, Garnetts, and Nowitzki’s of the world.

2.Image Chris Paul
Image
Height: 5-11
Weight: 175 lbs.
Position: PG
College: Wake Forest

NBA Comparison: Isiah Thomas

Strengths: Paul is the consummate point guard. He is a mature leader, wise beyond his years. He can score and get into the paint and drop the catchable pass with the best of them. A 3 point marksman that will knock it down if given room. His foot quickness makes him a capable ball hawk on defense when he picks his man up. To lead the ACC in steals as a freshman tells you a little about his defensive ability. His character and heart on and off the court make him a GM's dream. Will have a chance to be a star in the league, and it will be his passion for the game that will keep him from falling off.

Weaknesses: At under 6 foot, he's very small for the pro game. His intangibles and athleticism help to make up for it some. Improved strength and a year of maturing will help him avoid the dreaded sophomore jinx that Chris Thomas suffered a two years ago. Point guards are judged by their teams play, and with his team this year should reflect the type of player he is, a Champion.

3.Image Marvin Williams
Image
Height: 6-9
Weight: 230 lbs.
Position: SF
College: North Carolina

NBA Comparison: Tim Thomas

Strengths: Elite level athlete, Very quick and agile for a player of his size. Can play any position on the floor effectively. Never out-worked or out-hustled. Excellent form on jumper with NBA range. Very effective when facing the hoop as he has a quick first step and utilizes his jabs and fakes to perfection. An excellent passer from any spot on the floor who possesses great knowledge of the game. At 6-9 he handles like a guard and has excellent touch out to 17 feet. Great rebounder because of his size and ability to get off the ground quickly. Plays his best in the clutch. A quick leaper who plays well above the rim. Has tremendous potential.

Weaknesses: More of a wing/forward at this point. Doesn’t play well with his back to the basket as he hasn’t developed a go-to post move. Must improve strength as he won’t always be able to rely on his athletic ability at the next level. Is a shot blocker but has trouble defending smaller quicker players. As with all young guys not named LeBron or Carmelo, he struggles with consistency.

4.Image Deron Williams
Image
Height: 6-3
Weight: 210 lbs.
Position: PG
College: Illinois

NBA Comparison: Andre Miller

Strengths: Overall floor general abilities are good. Strong thick physique. Bulls his way to the hoop overpowering smaller and weaker defenders. A good rebounder from the guard position with both size and strength. Has good vision and sees the whole court, always finding open teammates. Very poised and always under control. Confident with the ball in his hands and wants the ball in crunch time. Can create for himself and for his team off the dribble.

Weaknesses: Speed is an issue as he’s not the quickest player on the court. His thick body type can be much a weakness as a plus as it limits his mobility. Lacks great open court speed and a quick first step. Relies on strength and overall body size too much. Can get caught trying to do too much at times and fires up shots instead of getting his teammates involved.

5.Image Martynas Andruskevivius
Image
Height: 7-3
Weight: 240 lbs.
Position: C
College: Lithuania

NBA Comparison: Zydrunas Ilgauskas

Strengths: A Lithuanian kid who has yet to play a full professional season in Europe but he has a good chance to be drafted high in the current draft... Put himself on the map with its performances in the Eurolega tournament in Barcelona last season and he repeated that in the Forli Italian tournament which lacked the recognition it deserved. He is tall and has incredible coordination for his height. He has long arms and a body that in spite of his age, has already begun to take to shape. He plays tough, fighting without complaints even after a lot of roughing up by opponents. He has good fundamentals and can face the basket from 15 feet. Although he lacks muscles, he is not timid about contact, and shows a good ability to stay balanced after contact .

Weaknesses: Besides a decent jump hook his offensive skills are nearly non existant. He needs to bulk up, obviously he has much work to do, starting with work in the gym. He must increase his strength in his arms. His agility and moves in post are a work in progress, he struggles to dominate in the post right now because his body is still skinny. Has touch but lacks stamina which shows in his shooting with shots falling short. He has good mechanics from the free thrown line, he must acquire better consistency as he has soft hands and can become an excellent sniper from the charity line.

6.Image Fran Vazquez
Image
Height: 6-10
Weight: 230 lbs.
Position: PF
College: Spain

7.Image Channing Frye
Image
Height: 7-0
Weight: 248 lbs.
Position: C
College: Arizona

NBA Comparison: Jarron Collins

Strengths: Fundamentally sound in nearly every area. Runs the floor well on the break. Keeps the ball high in the post. Surprisingly effective spot-up shooter, which makes him a dangerous scoring threat on the pick-and-roll. Crashes the offensive boards hard. Solid help defender and shot blocker. Excels at the tip-in and follow-up dunk. Solid ball-handler. Defends both the center and power forward position effectively. Even though his scoring average is slightly down, he’s a much better overall player now than he was as a junior.

Weaknesses: Still suffers in lapses in concentration/intensity/consistency. Could use another 20-25 pounds of muscle. Has made nice strides in this area, but still lacking a true killer instinct. Has a tendency to commit stupid fouls/turnovers at the worst times. Lacks lateral footspeed to keep up with most NBA power forwards. Lacks necessary bulk to bang with NBA centers night in and night out. Even with his improvements in these areas, strength and stamina still must improve to compete at the professional level. Lack of lower body strength occasionally leads to him getting muscled off his spot.

8.Image Gerald Green
Image
Height: 6-8
Weight: 200 lbs.
Position: SG/SF
College: Gulf Shores Academy (HS)

NBA Comparison: Tracy McGrady

Strengths: Everything this kid does is silky smooth, even hard drives to the lane capped with the empahatic dunk seem easy. Has supreme athleticism, and gets many points off ally oop dunks as well as on drives to the hole. Has a very quick, effortless release on his jump shot. Combine that with great elevation and you have an almost unblockable shot. Most of the shots go in, in fact his jump shot from midrange to outside is one of his defining qualities. Even At 6'8 he handles the ball like a guard, often starting (and finishing) the fast break. Loves to run the floor for the ally oop dunk, but also knows when to pass the ball. His long arms and tremendous athleticism lead to lots of blocked shots and steals. Often creating the turnover, starting the break, and finishing with a monster dunk. Also rebounds exceptionally well for a guard/forward his size.

Weaknesses: Effort seems suspect at times, can often be seen walking or resting on the court. Kind of has that I'll do what I want domineer when on the court, and sometimes appears to put style over substance. Needs to put up the monster performances that brought him where he is on a more consistent basis. Needs to bulk up, right now gets pushed around easily. Will have to improve his leg and upperbody strength to finish his drives. He has broad shoulders and a great frame, just needs to put in the work. Still dominating high schoolers, needs to bring his game to a point where he can do it at the next level as well.

9.Image Chris Taft
Image
Height: 6-10
Weight: 260 lbs.
Position: PF/C
College: Pittsburgh

NBA Comparison: Chris Wilcox

Strengths: Athletic, big bodied forward with great potential. Has developed a nice intermediate range jumper and shows soft touch. Formidable shot blocker. Forces opponents to take bad shots. Quick leaper despite size. rashes the boards on both ends and rarely gets outworked. Very tough and aggressive down low. A game changer even when he's not scoring.

Weaknesses: Passive at times. Has a good level of motivation but needs to develop a killer instinct. Must continue to develop low-post game. Has all the tools to dominate but has yet to really do so. Needs to call for and demand the ball from teammates.

10.Image Martell Webster
Image
Height: 6-7
Weight: 235 lbs.
Position: SG
College: Seattle Prep (HS)

NBA Comparison: Glen Rice

Strengths: The total package. Has the ability to score from anywhere on the court against any defender. Unstoppable mid-range pull up J off the bounce. Acrobatic finisher on the break. Unlimited arsenal of offensive moves that allow him to tear through opposing defenses. Very active on the boards. Tight handles, effortless drives to the hole, and an overall ease to which he plays the game. 20 and 10 capabilities every time he plays. At 6-6 and a rock solid 215 pounds has the size and versatility to play any position at the next level.

Weaknesses: Relies on outside shot too much. Must learn to move his feet and play better on ball defense. Has suffered from the injury bug during his Junior season, (specifically an ankle problem) so he needs to show that he can stay healthy.

11.Image Raymond Felton
Image
Height: 6-0
Weight: 194 lbs.
Position: PG
College: North Carolina

NBA Comparison: Ben Gordon

Strengths: Unbelievable quickness. Turns on the jets and can blow by virtually any defender. Has dynamite athleticism and agility. At just 6-feet, has the ability to rise way over the rim for dunks. In his first game at Chapel Hill got a breakaway and threw down a monster two handed dunk. Tremendous passer with great reflexes and will find a teammate for an open basket with the slightest opening in the defense. A good decision maker with instincts for the PG positon. His court vision is one of his greatest attributes. Looks for his shots within the flow of the game. Seems to maintain scoring ability and touch despite not looking for his shot for stretches of the game.

Weaknesses: The trend seems to be moving towrads big PG's. Bigger PG's will be able to see over him, but he'll have them in the quickness department. Must learn to run a team, getting everyone involved, while being able to dictate the tempo of the game. Has the instincts and ability, just needs the experience to put it together.

12.Image Tiago Splitter
Image
Height: 6-11
Weight: 236 lbs.
Position: PF
College: Brazil

NBA Comparison: Pau Gasol

Strengths: In 3 years will surely be a top 5 player internationally, he has the typically strong Brazilian offense game. He's a scorer, and can shoot from everywhere on the court. He plays one-on-one very well, has nice moves around the basket where he usually finishes with power plays. He has excellent mobility and great foot work for a player his size. He already has more international experience than Nene and Anderson combined. His future is at the SF position, so you can imagine the troubles that a 6-11 guy can cause in this situation. It's possible that he is not finished growing!

Weaknesses: His body still very weak to play the PF position. He has problems defending stronger guys and playing post up on offense, has to improve his timing on rebounds and his patience on defense. His defense can improve a lot playing in Europe and his body will certainly develop.

13.Image Rashad McCants
Image
Height: 6-3
Weight: 207 lbs.
Position: SG
College: North Carolina

NBA Comparison: Gilbert Arenas

Strengths: Very smooth, athletic guard with an amazing feel for the game. Takes over games as a freshman. Can get hot and bury an opposing team with his offensive prowess. Has a diverse offensive game with three pointers, intermediate jumpers, and a quick first step to take his man off the dribble. A player with great scoring instincts. Makes great decisions and passes the ball extremely well for a shooting guard. Has excellent quickness and terrific speed running the floor. Can easily gain separation on a defender in the open court. Handles the ball very well, and is adept at creating off the dribble. Has good lateral quickness and foot speed defensively. Fred Jones went 14th in the 2002 draft giving athletic, but undersized shooting guards such as McCants great optimism about their draft potential. In Comparison McCants is a little less explosive but has a far better overall game.

Weaknesses: Undersized 2-guard. Just a shade over 6-3, but plays bigger than his size with long arms and great leaping ability. Still at 6-3, he will struggle to an extent guarding and getting easy looks over 6-6 players night in and night out on the next level. Probably doesn't have the instincts to be a NBA PG. Has the talent to overcome the height deficiency, but remember how great another Carolina freshman Joseph Forte looked. McCants is a more explosive and quicker athlete than Forte, so he will likely make a better pro, however college stars don't always translate on the next level, especially ones a few inches short for their positions. Will need to improve some defensively, as guarding college guys is much easier than pros.

14.Image Charlie Villaneuva
Image
Height: 6-11
Weight: 230 lbs.
Position: SF
College: Connecticut

NBA Comparison: Lamar Odom

Strengths: A strong all around talent. Charlie excels at passing the ball, scoring from the perimeter and handling the ball on the break. His inside/outside game makes him a virtual lock for a double-double every night. His athleticism makes him an excellent rebounder and perimeter defender. Scores his points from all over; his height allows to shoot over almost everyone on the outside and also allows him take the ball down low. He's just starting to live up to his unbelievable potential.

Weaknesses: A bit laid back at times, which leads to scoring in bunches and then going cold. Must understand that he will not always be the biggest and most athletic player on the floor. Strictly an inside talent, and could use some post development. Still soft at times, which leads to him being a weak interior defender. Not a great shot blocker, despite his athleticism and height. Needs to develop a killer instinct.

:!: Draft results may change due to the fact I was forced to start a new season and sim through the first season. Mark is helping me, so if the order isn't all the right, he may be able to change some of the order to make it just like how it is now. The reason why I posted this is because I had already finished it, and I didn't want all that work to go to nothing. Hope you enjoy the coverage. :!:

Dope Draft recap.

Thanks, but remember, I MIGHT be able to have the same order of the draft, but some teams won't have two and 3 first rounders since I'm using a new updated roster from Andrew.

Excellent

 Yea my bad, I changed it though  Thanks

That's McCants I think, he just looks fat. All that celebrating after the national championship, lol. Anyway, it's about time i look through here again. Looks good so far.

 @ the McCants thing. Thanks for the compliment too

Thanks, and another satisfied person with the switch. I'm real glad I did it now.

Raps drafting Splitter eh? Just hope he isn't like our other Brazilian.

 They may not keep him though since the draft order isn't final yet. Remember what I said earlier.

Tight draft recap, lets get this season started.

Thanks, and once I get this off-season finished again and back to the way I want it, the season will start hopefully with no errors this time

I also love the pick of the Grizzlies, Rudy Fernández, now they have 2 spanish that together can play very well.

Yep, I'm getting very close, I'll say I'm 99% sure that I will have my first game up by the weekend. Still waiting on Mark to finish hish ratings patch as well so he can put them on my rookies.

i'll have to agree on that very nice draft recap

Thanks drag

nice recap of the draft!

Thanks, nice to see my draft was successful :)

I love this Draft, is very realistic!

I also love the pick of the Grizzlies, Rudy Fernández, now they have 2 spanish that together can play very well.

Thanks, the only thing I don't like about the pick is that the Grizzlies already have enough PG's even though Watson might not be there the next season they will still have Jwill and Burks.

Marvin Williams is a Knicks ! GREAT !!! What ? Hakim Warrick is a Knicks too ? Both of them are some of my favorite players for this draft, cool...
Marbury - Crawford - Williams - Warrick - Thomas
Looks good no ?

You need to keep this draft order+picks or else I'm gonna shoot you...

Well you better hope it stays the same
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks for hanging in there everybody. I should be able to official start my season this weekend as long as nothing goes wrong like it has been.
