I should have really captured the other side of the boxscore but if I remember correctly Seraph, you had a pretty poor game, as did Kobe  Sit really brought it big time against his fav team....but I noticed your big game was against the team you like, the Spurs....

jxuusa wrote:wow, i suck. but i ain't alone. 7 other guys suck even more

yep you suck

nah, it's not that really, it's just you guys ain't getting the PT....you're all rated pretty well for rookies, I think you are around 59 and most guys are between 57 and 62-63 (I'm only 54 in my 2nd season  )....and you all have good potential, so I think after your rookie season and you progress, minutes will increase....I like how realistic it has turned out that you guys are struggling for minutes....I didn't know how it would turn out....I'm really surprised Cocobee and Honor Glow are getting really low minutes....Cocobee is stuck behind Stoudamire and Telfair at the moment, but Stoudamire only inked a 1-year deal, so I have a feeling that he is  at the end of the season....as for Honor Glow, well it's a bit strange as I thought he would have got more minutes as there is no one in front of him at backup SG....you and Micchy_boy are behind superstar SG's, as is Sit behind PG's like Francis and Nelson....but I'm optimistic that minutes will improve....

most rookies are struggling for minutes....outside of Bogut, Reyes and Petro, I can't really think of any rookies starting even though they have higher ratings than the guys ahead of them (like Marvin Williams for example)....

futzy99 wrote:When I get my cyberface to work right, can I be in your dynasty?

yep, sure....just email me your cyberface and profile to just_x@ihug.com.au and you'll go into the 2007 draft pool alongside the likes of pHLo, iLLuzionz, Chris Paul (likely), Jarrett Jack, Raymond Felton, etc, etc....it's looking to be a strong PG draft this season....

SEVEN PROVES A LUCKY NUMBER FOR BOBCATS

With ANZAC day tomorrow I have more time to get through some more games so here is a 3 game recap. Sorry that there is no pics, I didn't get around to taking any. I'll try to get some in the next 3 game recap.

Dec 2, 2006 - Charlotte 106 vs Utah 97 [HUMAN GAME]

Despite only a 9 point victory, this game was an easy victory for the Bobcats, as the Jazz needed to finish the game with 10 straight points against Charlotte's scrubs to get it that close. This game was all about "That Guy" who dominated in the middle and Watson who set a franchise record with 14 assists. Talking about franchise records, the Bobcats continued to increase on their franchise record 5 game winning streak as the team moves to 8-6.

BPMM Points: Dumars 3pts, Watson 2pts, Okafor 1pt

Dec 4, 2006 - Charlotte 102 @ New Orleans 97 [INTERVENTION GAME]

Intevening in the 4th quarter and down by 8 points, the team really had its work ahead of them. It was made even tougher as B-Diddy was in fine form and had the Hornets up by 10 points with 5 minutes remaining. However, the insertion of Green and Nene made the difference as great defense and execution on offense led to the Bobcats going a 15-0 run which was decisive in the team's 5 point victory. A quality win to extend the winning streak to 6 games as the team's record improves to 9-6.

BPMM Points: Okafor 3pts, Arenas 2pts, Wallace 1pt

Nov 5, 2006 - Charlotte 96 vs Toronto 84 [SIMMED GAME]

The streak has reached 7 as the 'Cats got behind another big outing from Guy Dumars and strong bench play to beat the Raptors. The team now sits at 10-6 and is challenging the Magic for the Southeast Division lead. What a difference a season can make.

BPMM Points: Dumars 3pts, Van Exel 2pts, Nene 1pt

It appears everyone in the organisation seems pretty chuffed with this franchise-record 7 game winning streak.

It's about time the owner gave me the props I deserve

I'll probably have another 3 game update later tonight if I get the time. Hopefully I can extend the winning streak to 10 :o :D

If you can get over the shock of me winning a few games then please post some comments

Looks like there won't be any lottery balls with the inscription 'Charlotte' on them this year... Better off,IMO, you'd probably draft another big man with a Top 10 pick

Nice job racking up 7 straight, and here's to Gerald Wallace getting busted for pot, so that Luke can be the new duke at SF

 yeah, you're probably right....but this coming off-season I'll probably take a PG to backup Arenas and play alongside Arenas in a role similar to what Van Exel is playing this season....it's a strong PG draft (Chris Paul, Raymond Felton, Deron Williams, Jarrett Jack, a couple of NLSC-ers, John Gilchrist, Roko-Leni Ukic, etc) so I could end up getting someone like Jarrett Jack if he slides to me, depending on how much I continue to win....

 yeah, Wallace had been inconsistent and at the moment seems more like an athletic Bruce Bowen-type player without the 3 point range....might shop someone soon but am reluctant to mess with the team given my 7 game run....

Nice...

Oh, and by the way, I'm thinking of creating a new secondary dynasty since my Orlando files got corrupted and haven't gotten them working even if i spent the last week trying... I like your 3-4 line recap style , you mind if I borrow it?

Now all that's left is to pick another hopeless Eastern Conf team...

yep, feel free to borrow it considering I kinda borrowed it off Micchy_boy  although I have changed away from doing the boxscores in the monthly recaps like Micchy had in his Hawks dynasty to 3 game blocks....

BOBCATS GET A REALITY CHECK

Here goes the next 3 game recap as the schedule moves into the middle of December....

Dec 8, 2006 - Charlotte 90 vs Detroit 98 [HUMAN GAME]

This was a tough game from start to finish but in the end the class of the Detroit Pistons team shone through. This game was all about Rip Hamilton who went off for 42 points and hit some key buckets in the final couple of minutes to seal the deal. This loss puts a stop to the Bobcats' franchise record 7 game winning streak as they fall to 10-7 overall.

Image
That Guy: "Just because I like you doesn't mean you're getting any freebies"

BPMM Points: Okafor 3pts, Nene 2pts, Head 1pt

Dec 13, 2006 - Charlotte 94 vs New Orleans 74 [INTERVENTION GAME]

Intevening in the 4th quarter and up by 14 points, all that the team had to do was hold on and chalk up another win against the other team from Charlotte. Instead of holding on, the Bobcats extended the lead to blow the Hornets out by 20 points. Korver had a good game in his 1st start of the season as he replaced Watson in the starting lineup after a few disappointing outings by Watson in the last couple of games. The win moves the Bobcats to a 11-7 record.

BPMM Points: Okafor 3pts, Korver 2pts, Wallace 1pt

Dec 14, 2006 - Charlotte 82 vs LA Lakers 88 [SIMMED GAME]

The backcourt of superstar Kobe Bryant and Argentine rookie Leo "Seraph" Reyes was too much for the Bobcats in this game as they held off a late 4th quarter surge to send the 'Cats to their 2nd loss in the last 3 games and to an 11-8 record. Outside of G.A., the rest of the team was pretty much garbage, especially the big 3 (Okafor, Dumars and Nene) who combined for only 12 points when they're averaging more than 3 times that amount. Word around the 'Cats staff is that 2nd year guard Andrew "The X" Watson will move back into the starting lineup next game after a 2 day hiatus on the bench.

BPMM Points: Arenas 3pts, Wallace 2pts, Van Exel 1pt

I've also updated the Team Records and BPMM Leaderboard on page 1 of the thread....

"That Guy"

You don't know your own roster?

Great dynasty. Perfect, except for the anonymous Dumars.

you obviously haven't viewed this dynasty too much last season if you don't know the reasoning behind "That Guy" adage....Guy Dumars is definitely not anonymous, probably my most liked player by all  but thanks for compliment either way :D

:chug: glad people like it....

jxuusa wrote:the guy likes wallace.. oh god.

hopefully more his game than his approach to the game....

I have to stick true to the dynasty storylines as I don't know if you guys remember but my reasoning for him wearing his short shorts was in honour of Rasheed Wallace :o let's hope he stays on track
