What's the worst thing about Live 2003

Postby iloop on Tue Jan 21, 2003 9:31 am

I really can't decide. Is it:

1. The player speed problem? the way CPU players on fastbreaks are WAAAY faster than yours, but can keep up with your fastest players when you attempt to outrun them with your fastest player?
2. The CPU's "Sticky Hands" players that intercept any pass, even when it is coming from behind them?
3. Those infuriating cutscenes that you can't avoid?
4. The "I'll dunk over your guy from a standing position as if he wasn't there" thing that CPU players are doing every now and then when they post up your players?
5. Shooting 3's 10 times in a row, getting blocked 9 times in a row...

I'll probably think of more later, just needed to vent some steam.

Computer player dribbling to the three pt line and turns around and shoots a three with a defender in his face and swooshes the shot.

the nr1 problem is this that the AI controlls the gameflow. I play only with superstar level and there is so that when u are in lead with 10+ points. U will miss layups, dunks ... i'm not talking about jumpshots and 3points.
And computer makes thous insane 3points ... and make 10-0 run with less than a minute. And evry single time when the end is close ... AI must win.
Even if i have bean in leading position for entire game.

nr2 ... there is no effect when u defend a shooter. The only way to make him miss is to make this volley-block.

nr3 .. AI don't know how to play offence. The pointguard makes hes unreal moves and drives in traffic to make the layup ... while others are completely open.

... ok there is more .. but the gameplay is the #1 thing that i am hopping to be fixed in next years version. But i must give credit for live 2003 that compared to live 2001 they have maid a major step forward and with tweaked rosters it is quite playable...

1.) the difficulty for users when it comes to scoring, shooting and getting to the rim, on superstar level.

2.) impossiblity of great consistant "D" against A.I.

i love playing defense, but this is ridiculous...

The thing I hate most is the shot blocking, steals and the AI making impossible 3 point shots.

Worst thing: it's nearly impossible to foul when you want! It's damn annoying if you're down at the end of a game and need to foul to stop the clock--plus, the computer controlled players are clueless so they don't foul. Those stupid help tips that appear when the game is loading tell you to run into someone that you want to foul! What the hell is that? That's really realistic...having to run at top speed and butt-ram somebody to foul them.

number one gripe for me, is the fact that:
sometimes the refs are real tight at the start of games and call absoloutely ridiculous fouls that u cant stop, example someone will stand still and shoot a jumper, i will have my hands up and its a foul............very annoying if u know what im talking about
