heiks wrote:here to help you out guys!

i'll tell you the easiest way:

1. import the jerseys to xteam.viv
2. go to My Documents\NBA Live 2003\saves\xxx folder
3. open players.dbf [with MS Access ofcourse], open the players table
4. scroll down and find the all-star players [records 482-507]
5. scroll right and find a field called ORIGTEAM [next to the TEAM field]
6. change the numbers like this [from TEAM to ORIGTEAM]:
Image
7. go ingame load the xxx save and you're done!

hope it wasn't too confusing
;)

Note: tnx heiks for ur help

inso, you gotta adjust the team gear database. it was all in the 'read me' file.

UPDATE http://www.geocities.com/forteawon41/

it wasn't until tip-off that I ever got a look at the freakin shorts. I've done my best to update my patch, making the shorts more realistic. I also tried to put some of the new info (regarding getting these uniforms into the game) into the accompanying ReadMe.txt.

To be honest, I haven't tried any of the ORIGTEAM players.dbf editing. From reading the posts in this thread, it seems to me that this method has seen some success. I believe it is Andrew to whom I owe thanks on this issue.

insomnia_10: I don't really know what to tell you. maybe read the ReadMe.txt again and make sure you've followed my instructions. All I know is that this patch works for me, and I tried to write the ReadMe.txt as a step by step of what I've done.

hey FTW, nice jerseys there, quality stuff!
but i was wondering if you'd try to make east's away [blue] and west's home jersey [white] for the future...

wurd. thanks for the heads up on the stars. I have a little trouble on the star-clarity if I go much smaller than how I have them, but I'll tinker with that.
I like your idea for the blue jerseys. when i get my next project done, I think I'll do the all-star patch again with red, white and blue versions of the east and the west.

You're welcome. One of the few times I can actually offer advice on a graphics update, despite being strictly a roster patch maker.

Heiks I updated my uniforms. I made red, white, and blue uniforms for both the east and west teams. Tell me if its what you had in mind.
I didn't make screen shots for all six jerseys, because all that changes from east to west is the text on the shorts.

I'm trying to get this new website to let me make my zip files public. All I can get it to do so far is show pictures.

Forgive the Michael Finley shot, he SO should have been on the team.

Thanks Kob Master, I do always forget that. Jerry West is the David Bowie of pro sports, I mean that in a good way.

Thanks for all the comments. I think all the great all-star patches reflect that this was the best all-star break in a long time. Especially considering all the effort we have to go through to get them in the game.

When you reach the All-Star game, and the rosters have been added to the game (won't happen until you reach the day of the ASG), edit the ORIGTEAM field for the players on the All-Star teams. West All-Stars should have West All-Stars as their original team, likewise East All-Stars have East All-Stars as their original team, rather than their NBA team. The players should then wear the All-Star jerseys, rather than their individual team jerseys.

I made the home numbers plain blue. Thanks to Jowe for the number editing info from the NCAA thread. Sorry if the bandwidth thing keeps you away, keep trying!

I got all my files onto my bigger, better website. If you've had trouble getting my All-Star file from my geoSHITTY website, you should have an easier time here:

http://home.earthlink.net/~pepsters/_wsn/page3.html

its not much to look at, but I'm working on it
