I will have a 5-game update coming up soon and I will also try to have other things up such as new gear in the team store, new mags etc. and a few extra surprises. :D The update may be done by Monday, if not then Tuesday, but most likely Monday and maybe even Sunday.

SUNS VS. GRIZZLIES
FedEx Forum, Memphis, 5:00 p.m., PST

TV, radio: FSAZ; KTAR 620
Records: Suns, 36-10; Grizzlies, 31-15.
INJURY REPORT Grizzlies: Mike Miller (bone spur in ankle) out indefinitely; James Posey (sprianed foot) out indefinitely

KEY MATCHUP: AMARE STOUDEMIRE VS. PAU GASOL
The last time Stoudemire met up with Gasol, he went for 19 points and 8 rebounds which was well under his average, while Gasol scored 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for the Grizzlies. Pau outplayed Stoudemire, but the Suns ended up winning. Gasol will be able to match the quickness of Stoudemire so you can expect a great game between the two rising stars.

INSIDE THE SUNS
Steve Nash and Amare Stoudemire are having the best seasons of their career. You will see these two players in the All-Star game most likely, because they helped the Suns to a 36-10 record, along with scoring career-highs in points during the season. Stoudemire scored 51 points in a game this year, while Nash added 40 just a few games ago.

INSIDE THE GRIZZLIES
Memphis will be without two of their top players in Posey and Miller. Miller is expected to be out at least two weeks, while Posey was expected to play tonight, but the doctors said he wasn't quite ready. The two players combined for 29ppg, 6.3rpg and 6.1apg for the Grizzlies. Starting in place of Miller and Posey will be sixth man, Shane Battier and Bonzi Wells.

Suns Took Out the Injured Grizzlies
Nash nears triple-double against Grizzlies

MEMPHIS, Mar. 1 (Ticker) -- The short-handed Memphis Grizzlies couldn’t help that two of their top players were out of tonight’s action. Bonzi Wells scored 23 points to lead four Grizzlies in double figures, but couldn’t lift the Grizzlies over the Phoenix Suns, as the Suns won 103-89 Tuesday night. Playing without forward James Posey and guard Mike Miller, who are on the injured list, Memphis shot 4-of-13 from 3-point range that was just the beginning of a bad shooting night.. ``I am pretty happy for the group of guys we had out there,'' Memphis coach Mike Fratello said. ``They hung in there and found contributions from everyone, but in the 4th quarter that’s when the fatigue factor started to come in. We played nine guys and eight played 10 minutes or more.”

Shane Battier, starting only his fifth game of the year, scored 13 points, while Jason Williams finished with 15 and 7 assists. Lorenzen Wright scored 11 points and grabbed 3 rebounds off the bench. Amare Stoudemire led the Suns with 24 points, hitting 11 of 19 shots, while Steve Nash added 19 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. Shawn Marion scored 14 points and had 7 boards. Phoenix built the lead to double digits midway through the 4th quarter, and Memphis got no closer than seven the rest of the way.

The Suns' strength showed early. Nash had five assists on Phoenix's first seven baskets. Yet, the Suns held only a 52-47 lead at the half. The Suns opened the final period by extending a third-quarter run to 19-5 and added on to their small lead by moving it to double digits. “We really missed Posey’s defense and Miller’s shooting tonight,” Fratello said. “We had enough depth, but when your running against a team like the Suns, you have to get your other players to step up off the bench, and most of them did, but Gasol and Swift felled to reach double digits in the game which really hurt us.” Pau Gasol and Stromile Swift scored just 8 points apiece and combined for 5-16 shooting from the field. They combined for 26 rebounds in the game.

Suns Dominate in Wolves’ Den
Phoenix finish road-trip undefeated

McCarty scored 8 points off the bench for the Suns against the TWolves

MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 2 (Ticker) -- The Phoenix Suns saved their best for last to finish up a wildly successful six-game road trip. Amaré Stoudemire led five players in double figures with 28 points and 15 rebounds as the Suns used a dominant third quarter to roll to a 115-82 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Phoenix went a perfect 6-0 on its season-high road trip, averaging a remarkable 110.6 points in the six wins. The Suns handed Minnesota its fourth-worst home loss in franchise history. The Timberwolves had one of their lowest-scoring performances this season, only scoring 82 points in the game.

"The Wolves are a good team," Phoenix swingman Quentin Richardson said. "But I don't care who you're playing, 6-0 is the best road series you can get. We got some good roadkill on this trip. We got some bucks, a wolf, a raptor. We even got a bear too,” Richardson laughing. Stoudemire dominated the second quarter with 14 points, helping the Suns keep their head above water with a 62-58 halftime lead. When the Timberwolves collapsed inside in the second half, Stoudemire's sharpshooting teammates took over. Shawn Marion scored 11 points in the third quarter, hitting two of Phoenix's six 3-pointers in the period. Walter McCarty and Jim Jackson had two 3-pointers apiece, with Jackson hitting back-to-back from long range late in the quarter to give the Suns their largest lead of the game.

"We were up 40 and we could have been up 50 if we kept playing hard through the rest of the 3rd, but we rested a little during the end of the quarter,” Stoudemire said. Phoenix emptied its bench for the final period and managed to outscore the Timberwolves 29-16 in the quarter, long after the game had been decided. "This was a fun game," Richardson said. "Everybody was playing great D, especially on their guards.” We were making shots and making plays." It was less fun for the Timberwolves, whose starters were outscored, 92-63. "Tonight there was one team that was playing loose and making plays and one that was just out there," Minnesota guard Troy Hudson said. "You can't do that against a team like Phoenix. They thrive when they play fast and loose and they're too good to let them play their game."

Marion scored 23 points, Nash added 22 and 12 assists and Richardson and Jackson scored 10 points apiece for Phoenix, which returns home to face New York on Saturday. The Timberwolves trailed 49-39 in the second quarter when guard Sam Cassell left the game holding his left arm. He did not return and his team was unable to rally without him. "We wanted to run at (Garnett) and get the ball out of his hands," Phoenix coach Mike D'Antoni said. "His energy is crucial for the Wolves. We know that if we make others shoot, they're going to have to hit a lot of jumpers to beat us, because we know we're going to score a lot of points." Garnett has scored a combined 66 points in the three games against the Suns this season. "It felt like high school out there tonight," said Garnett, who grabbed 8 rebounds. "I haven't been triple-teamed that many times since then. But it's my job to fight through and still lead the team. We'll get it turned around; we're still a confident team."

Thanks, I try to add different stuff to my recaps to make things a little more interesting. I know its hard to be interested in a team that wins alot, but I'm trying to make it so it won't be that way.

ShivaSquad wrote:(2) im amazed how u manage to do so many recaps and previews every day... always an update. awesome job.

Yea it takes me about 1-2 hours to do a recap, depends on how much time I waste. I have to do previews, pics, play the game and recap. That's why some days I'm able to do alot more updating than others because if I'm not busy, I can get about 2-3 games done in one day.

Thx again, I like for things to look neat.

KNICKS VS. SUNS
America West Arena, Phoenix, 7:00 p.m., PST

TV, radio: FSAZ; KTAR 620
Records: Knicks, 18-28; Suns, 38-10.
INJURY REPORT Knicks: Kurt Thomas (bone spure in ankle) out indefinitely; Moochie Norris (broken nose) probable

KEY MATCHUP: SHAWN MARION VS. MICHAEL SWEETNEY
Sweetney has started the last four games for the Knicks due to Kurt Thomas recent injury to his foot. Sweetney is a 6'8", 260 lb big man who will have lots of trouble guarding Marion tonight man-to-man. Marion who is 45 lbs lighter than Sweetney has the speed and agility to do almost anything he wants against the big guy. Last night against the Sacramento Kings, Sweetney shot 1-10 from the field for 3 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in 32 minutes.

INSIDE THE KNICKS
The last time the Knicks played Phoenix, they lost in a 102-80 blowout and Marbury shot a horrendous 3-21 from the field. They were outplayed in the first quarter and let the game get out of hands. The Knicks are in the middle of a six-game road trip and they are 2-2 as of now.

INSIDE THE SUNS
The Suns are on a 7-game winning streak and after taking two days from that 6-0 road trip, they came back home tonight. Phoenix is just two wins away from reaching the 40th mark and are 20 wins above last year's record at this time.

Suns Wake Up to Top Knicks
Suns gain first season sweep over Knicks since 1994-95

ImageKnicks-105

Knicks Boxscore | Suns Boxscore

Richardson was one of six players in double figures against New York

PHOENIX, Feb. 5 (Ticker) -- The Phoenix Suns' big three came up big again against the overmatched New York Knicks. Amare Stoudemire had 19 points and 7 rebounds, Steve Nash added 21 points and 6 assists, and Shawn Marion had a team-high 29 points and 4 rebounds, leading the Suns to a 118-105 comeback victory over the travel-weary Knicks on Saturday night. The victory was the eighth in nine games for the Suns (39-10) and strengthened their lead in the NBA's Pacific Division. It also gave them their first season sweep over the Knicks since 1994-95. They easily beat the Knicks 102-80 in New York on Jan. 25 when Stoudemire had 28 points and 12 rebounds, Marion had just 7 points and 5 rebounds, and Nash had 16 points and nine assists. Saturday's win was much tougher than the first, because the Suns didn't take command until the fourth quarter.

"We had to pick up our intensity," Marion said. "We just got a little more aggressive. We were lethargic (early). When we got more energy, we were all right. In the fourth quarter, we got some loose balls, it started going our way and we opened up the game a little." Stoudemire agreed. "We played extremely well in the fourth to close it out," he said. "In the fourth, we outran them, outscored them and outrebounded them." Former Suns guard Stephon Marbury led the Knicks with 33 points. He was booed during the starting lineup presentation. Marbury was not bothered by the booing from the crowd of 18,422.
"I guess it's natural to react that way," he said. "If that was to happen in New York, the fans would boo, too."

Jamal Crawford had 16 points for the Knicks, and Allan Houston scored 17 points off the bench. The pesky Knicks stayed with the Suns for three periods. Then, Phoenix opened the fourth quarter with an 11-0 run. Stoudemire capped the burst with a fast-break slam dunk, giving Phoenix a 95-84 lead. The tired Knicks, who lost 120-101 at Sacramento on Friday night, took a surprising 53-52 lead in the 2nd quarter, before the Suns ended the quarter on a 15-5 run the final 3 minutes of the second period. Nash capped the surge with a driving layup with 4 seconds left. He finished the half with 8 points. The usually sharpshooting Suns' starters shot a paltry 15-for-40 (37 percent) and the team went to the foul line only six times, hitting all six, compared to the Knicks. who were 12-of-15. The Knicks continued to pound the boards in the third quarter, and by the end of the period, they had a 28-25 rebounding margin and closed the Suns gap to 5 points. Marbury kept up his offensive assault, producing 17 of his 33 points in the 2nd half, but it wasn’t enough to give his Knicks the win.

SUNS VS. KINGS

TV, radio: FSAZ; KTAR 620
Records: Suns, 38-10; Kings, 31-16.
INJURY REPORT Kings: Eddie House (sore rib) probable

KEY MATCHUP: JOE JOHNSON VS. CUTTINO MOBLEY
Newly acquired G/F Cuttino Mobley has been a big plus for the Kings. He is 2nd on the team in scoring averaging 18.7ppg. Johnson numbers are very similar with both players shooting the ball with a good percentage. Johnson find his shots, while Mobley likes to demand the ball.

INSIDE THE SUNS
Last time these two teams met up, Joe Johnson scored the game winning basket and left the Kings breathless. Johnson ended up wtih 24 points in that game along wtih Marion and Stoudemire scoring at the 20+ point mark.

INSIDE THE KINGS
The Kings are 12-5 since acquiring Mobley in the trade that sent long time Kings player, Doug Christie, to the Orlando Magic. Mobley has contributed well for the Kings and has fit into Rick Aldeman's system. Sacramento is coming off a 109-95 loss to the Portland Trailblazers on February 5th.

This is a crazy dynasty, you are truly the king.

thanks, thats a big compliment for me...and to answer ur question, its real fun playin with the suns, if you going to win alot, why not win with the suns because they do win like that for real and its interesting to see if we will even lose when we are a winning team. its also interesting to see what type of shooting nights certain players will have because you will expect great ones, but sometimes it doesnt always go that way. i promised myself that i was going to stick with this dynasty and this is the furthest ive ever got into a dynasty in an 82 game season. just 5 games away from all-star break and im going to keep going and you will see some surprises coming near the end possibly (but ill keep that to myself  )

I was planning on going the game today, but I got a little caught up in some other stuff and I my team have our substate basketball game tonight so if I can, I will update, but if I can't I will do it tomorrow.
