It's a problem with your video card. Try updating your video card drivers.

Your chipset may not be supported by NBA Live 2003. Is it listed under the supported chipsets in the Tech Help/Troubleshooting booklet that came with NBA Live 2003?

If it is, and you cannot find any help in that booklet, check EA's technical support website. It has some more in depth support, troubleshooting procedures and frequently asked questions for Live 2003. It also has a facility that allows you to get in touch with a tech support rep.
