Jackal wrote:Barring some errors in grammar, this stuff is just like NBA.com's game recaps. Realistic to the core. Nice to see you keeping this thing going, best of luck against KG & the Wolves in the next game.

Btw, do you have a bad computer or do you play with lights off?

nice to here from you... yeah my grammar sucks and have hard time doing recap... sometimes i want to tell something about the game but can find the right word to expres it.

Well yes i have a bad computer...

kobelive2005 wrote:what a way to even-up the series at 2 games a piece.... damn, caron got injured badly.... and he's out for the rest of the playoffs, what a great loss. anyway, you still got george and jones at sf and this will be a test how tough is your bench..... goodluck with game 5, hope you win....

awesome recaps once again (Y) one comment though, games 3 & 4 is in los angeles not minneapolis, guess you forgot to edit it.... anyway, still great updates....

honestly, i intentionally try doing that buzzer-beater since the game was tied and even if i miss, it will only go to overtime. after atkins made the shot, i quickly press the F12 buttin but wasn't able to get screeny of the shot. i got all the lakers celebration though...

Well, yeah that would be tough esp. with jones still out also with injuries...
about the "minneapolis" thing. yeah i already notice that just before i post game 4 but again forget to edit it. thanks bro i'l edit it.

dweaver99027 wrote:Do yourself a favor micchy and skip Devean George...

Use Luke Walton as SF, he's good at everything but excels in nothing..

If you want a gap-filler, he's your guy( who did you think the guy in my profile pic was, anyway??? )

Once again, nice work matey... and if you want to beat the Wolves just double-team the hell out of KG and run like the wind to cover openings in the perimeter. That'll cook 'em good...

i traded Walton for anderson and dooling before the trade deadline :(
Well George is a good back-up both at SG and SF position so i'l start him and let Anderson be the back-up SF.

Well about KG, i dont have problem with him.. Cassell and Sprewell gave me headache with their oustside shooting... and if one of them got in foul trouble, Hoiberg also torce me...

----------------

Well, i finished Game 5, i try my best to do the recap...
And finally
A BIG THANKS to all of you for viewing my dynasty
10000 hits and counting....

jw y did u say that u werent happy wit the outcome of game 4? it sounds like an awesome, fun game. theres nothing that beats a buzzer beater that evens up a playoff series, especially wit som1 whose not expected to do it (chucky atkins)

Grrrrr!!! Good trade,though...

So, Rudy does not appear to have any majos stress issues in your dynasty... This is good, the last thing you needed was the daily media blah-blah about who the new coach would be....

but that would really add something to it? can't you also change the coaches by editing the dbf? you should make something happen to one of them.

yeah, butler is a big loss but i got George who play really well and with jones coming from the IR, i think i can compete well.

its not the outcome of the game 4 i dont like but the injury in Butler. But at least its not Bryant or Odom....

I quote this one form the Lakers-Wolves series preview at page 13

"We just gonna play it one game at a time, that’s what I said to my boys. We know we’re not the favorite to win this series and that will be less pressure for us," Coach Rudy T said who already announced he will step down as Lakers coach after this season due to health reasons.

jxuusa wrote:but that would really add something to it? can't you also change the coaches by editing the dbf? you should make something happen to one of them.

i didn't change any coach coz there were no patch for all coach. but now that Kobe8Rice41 made awesome coach patch, expect lots of coaching changes in the off-season.

Game 5 Recap: Los Angeles Lakers @ Minnesota Timberwolves

Image

Butler-less Lakers Survived Late Run by the Wolves

Image
Lamar Odom and the Lakers survived
shooting woes, injury and foul trouble
in the 4th quarter and are 1 win away
for a rematch against the Spurs.

MINNEAPOLIS (Ticker) –- With momentum on their side, Lakers started the ballgame like an well-oiled machine despite missing the service of Caron Butler. With a big lead, they survived bad shooting in the 4th quarter and a late game surge by Wolves and took a 3-2 lead in this series.

After that great buzzer-beater win, Lakers were all hyped going into this game. They made their first 8 shots to lead 23-17 in midway of the quarter. But after that, they only made 3 of the next 13 shots and allowed the Wolves to come back in to the game. Cassell lead all scorers with his 13 points while Sprewell chipped in 8 points. Lakers got 8 points from Bryant and George, who started in placed of injured Butler, added 7 points. Lakers led 30-28 going to the 2nd quarter.

In the 2nd period, Lakers put a greta defensive job against the Wolves. They limited both Sprewell and Garnett scoreless in this quarter. In fact, Garnett was still scoreless in the 1st half, just attempted 2 shots in 12 minutes of play. Cassell carried the fight for the Wolves but was not enough to overcome Lakers in this quarter. Lakers now led by 11, 55-44 at halftime break.

Lakers extended their lead in the 3rd period and tasted their biggest lead at 17 points, 69-52 with 5 minutes left in the quarter. Wolves, behind Sprewell and Olowokandi, cut the deficit to 11 points. Lakers held on to that and still leading 83-70 after 3 quarters. Garnett was still scoreless in the game and Cassell only had 2 points after scoring 21 in the 1st half. 4 players already have scored double figures for the Lakers with Bryant and Odom each have 21 points.

Lakers were fortunate to have a big lead in the 4th period. After leading by 17 in the 3rd quarter, Lakers saw their lead slowly evaporate in this quarter. Garnett 1st basket of the game came at 5:38 mark of the game and cut the Lakers lead to 8 points. Lakers somehow survived the Wolves run and with less than 2 minutes left, they still leading by 7 points. George got injured and didn’t came back in the game while Bryant fouled out with 51.8 second left in the game Lakers only shots 28% in the field in this quarter but made key free-throws down the stretch to win this game.
Bryant finished with 23 points while Odom added 21 to win Player of the Game honor. George scored 15 and Mihm added 17 points. Wolves were led by Cassell 29 points and Sprewell added 22. Garnett only scored 6 points in 26 minutes of action. He only shots 3 of 9 from the field. Later that night, an Insider said that Garnett was not felling well. His wisdom tooth is aching which really affected his game. He will visit his dentist before flying to LA for Game 6.

Lakers lead the series for the 1st time, 3-2 and will have a good chance in finishing the seires at home.

yeah, Game 6 was a blast, alreafy played it but i wont have time to do the recap ... maybe tomorrow.

About Walton, when i trade him to Heat, i always looked at the boxscore, maybe the first 5 games he played... the 1st game his stats was 14 point, 7 rebs and 6 asts... when i saw that i want to get him back (just kidding) well he average like 7 pts, 5 rebs and 5 asts.

Sit wrote:Nice work Micchy... good luck as u gonna face Spurs next!

Game 6 Recap: Minnesota Timberwolves @ Los Angeles Lakers

Image

Double Overtime Thriller in LA

Image
Kobe Bryant made a windmill dunk in front of Olowokandi

LOS ANGELES (Ticker) –- Lakers used different starters for the 2nd straight game, with George hampered with minor injury, Coach Rudy T decided to insert Brian Grant in the starting line-up and put Odom at the small forward position. The gamble paid-off early in the game. In the end, Lakers needed 2 extra periods to dispatch the Wolves and advance to the Western Semifinal. They will again face their rival, San Antonio Spurs.

Lakers started the game defensive-minded. They forced the Wolves just 33% from the field and limited them to just 20 points. Lakers already tallied 4 block shots and 3 steals in this quarter. While their defense was great, they offense was on their best. They shot almost 60% from the field and lead double digits early in the game. At the end of the 1st period, Lakers led 27-20. Odom already scored 10 points while Hassell came off the bench to lead the Wolves with his 9 points.

Lakers continued their good defense and great offense in the 2nd quarter. They extended their lead back to double digits. An 11-3 run gave the Lakers their biggest lead of the game, 52-33 with 1:08 left at the half. The score at halftime was 52-37. Garnett scored just 4 points, Cassell with 7 points and Sprewell with 4 points and 3 fouls. Atkins scored all his 13 points in the 2nd quarter to lead all Lakers players.

Lakers were still leading by large margin in the 3rd period. But with Wolves, facing another 1st round elimination, put one great run throughout the quarter. From 18 points deficit, Wolves slowly cut the deficit and only trailed by 13, 4 minutes left. Then they made another run to make it just a 5 point ballgame. Sprewell single-handedly put the Wolves back in contention and only trailed by 2, 70-68 after the 3rd canto.

Wolves were able to tie the game at 82-82 and they took the lead from that moment. Lakers now facing a big collapse in what could be the biggest game yet by this young Lakers. With 3 minutes left in the game and wolves still holding a 5 point lead. Lakers were able to make a run and tied the game. both team missed they last shots and this game was going for overtime. Game ended at 95-95.

Lakers got the first possession of the overtime and Bryant quickly made a baseline jumper. Both team managed to trade baskets and was still tied at 102-102, 2 ½ minutes left. In the next Lakers’ possession, Sprewell fouled out. Bryant 2 free-throws gave the Lakers back the lead. But a 5-0 run by Wolves put them ahead by 3. On the next possessions, Bryant drove to the basket, goes for a dunk but was fouled by Hoiberg. He made the basket but got injured in that process. Anderson replaced him and made the free-throw. Game was tied at 107-all and both teams managed to score 2 points each. At 109-all, Wolves have the chance to win it but Cassell last shot only hit the rim. The game goes for second overtime.

Bryant asked, well demanded Coach Rudy T to put him back in the game. Playing hurt, Bryant took over the game, scoring Lakers first 6 points to put the Lakers up by 4 points. But the Wolves again made a come back. With Lakers leading, 121-118 Wolves made it 125-124, they only trailed by 1 point. They forced Lakers to miss their next shot. Wolves called a timeout but in they last possessions, Garnett missed what could have been the winning shot.

Bryant scored14 points of his 31 points in those 2 overtime to lead the Lakers for this win. Five other Lakers players scored in double figures to show it’s not a 1-man show for the Lakers. Latrell Sprewell led the Wolves with his 32 points but was not able to play in the 2nd OT after fouling out.

Lakers win the series 4-2 and will now be facing the San Antonio Spurs. This match-up will be a rematch of last year semifinal match which everyone still remember as the 0.4 buzzer-beater shot by Fisher.

looks like my Eastern picks let me down :x

btw, I don't hate the Lakers....just don't like what they became....I use to love the team with my main man Cedric Ceballos, Nick The Quick, Eddie Jones, Divac, Campbell, Peeler, etc....that team was great....until Shaq and Kobe arrive :(

thanks, the Wolves is not that tough to beat, teams like Suns, Sonics, Griz and Nuggets are the teams that give me hard time to win... KG is not as dominate as in real life. he never really attempted that much... same goes with Spurs so i think i'l be okey against the Spurs...
