v1.03 released...

Postby Andrew on Mon Jan 27, 2003 6:32 pm

Rosters updated through January 27th, same installation as v1.01 onwards, only other significant change is Amare Stoudemire's ratings.

Therefore, non-transaction related suggestions that are based on v1.02 can probably still be addressed.

No, as I said, the only changes are updated rosters and Amare Stoudemire's ratings. I haven't updated any of the salaries yet.

What about correcting some of the skin colors of players?
Fx. Paul Pierce is too light.

One more thing: Please adjust Ben Wallace's ratings. They're too low.

Andrew thnks for updating Amare Stoudemire's rating... i hope you update other players rating like Jamal Magloire (too slow in EA) Dajuan Wagner, Yao Ming (he is not agressive in offense kindly fix that) Baron Davis (freethrow percentage too low) Once again thnks.... doing this changes makes nbalive03 more realistic and more accurate to play :)

The problem there is that the colour of the cyberfaces does not change with the body, so there will be an obvious difference between the colour of his body and the colour of his face.

And I'll look at all the players that have been mentioned.

i used the roster patch and found out that there are still some players without the correct jersey number...well, i just saw one since i'm playing franchise with the wolves and kendal gill's number is 13 instead of 9. also, well i just noticed it now since i;ve been using DK's roster patch before and after installing the NLSC roster patch, my game's loading time before and after the game seems to slow down.....

I can't explain the difference in loading times...but thanks for the jersey number report. :) I fixed a couple of numbers when I was working on the patch yesterday, but I missed Gill's.

hope the little problem in the roster i reported helped. :D btw, i can't play one on one mode with the roster...i tried it 3 times already and after the loading screen fills up all the orange player loading stuff, the game just hangs i don't know what's wrong...also, since i'm reporting a problem i'm encountering, can i also ask about another problem here although it's not roster related though...but since i'm sure that you're going to check this thread always, i though i would ask it in this thread hope it's okay...well, the problem is when i'm in the middle of a game, i always get a blue screen error with some words in it but i can't read what's written since it's too fast and my computer just reboots itself...i dont know why i'm experiencing this problem but it's really annoying to always get that error message...btw, i'm using winxp...hope you could give some tips...thanks so much! and sorry about asking the question here...thanks again! :D

That's strange that you're having those problems. I haven't tested the patch in one on one mode, but I've played games without any problems...are you using the tweaked version? It's possible that I caused a DBF editor when applying the global tweaks.

If the problem lies with the roster patch, it could be there's a problem with installing my rosters using Win XP. Don Daily has provided me with a new installation routine which I'm still learning how to compile, so if the problem lies in the installation I might be able to sort it out in the near future.

These problems have never occured with the default rosters or any other roster patch?

yes i'm using the tweaked version of the patch. well, the blue screen error, i just experienced it recently and also the hanging of my computer both in one on one and 5 on 5 game. but before, just a Illegal Operation Error with Live 2003 using otehr roster patch, i've only used DK's before. but i can't recall having the blue screen error and rebooting problem with the default roster...

Could be a DBF error then. I'll see if I can reproduce the problem.

1.02 to 1.03 patch

Postby celticslegend33 on Thu Jan 30, 2003 6:49 pm

Andrew, using v1.02's tweaked roster, I had set up my franchise mode last week. I'm quite satisfied with my fantasy roster already.

However, upon reading the previous threads, you mentioned about editing Amare Stoudemire's stats in v1.03. With that, along with other future stat-editing for other players (Ricky Davis and Troy Murphy), is it possible to transfer all their 'edited' stats from future roster patches to my current fantasy roster (from v1.02) without messing it up?

I haven't started the season yet but I really like my lineup.

Thanks.

You can import data from one dbf file to another using DB Commander, but you have to make sure you correct any differences eg. player's team, roster position, salary info etc.

jey-em,

I've been trying to reproduce the errors you're experiencing using the tweaked roster, but so far, I haven't had any success. Therefore, I'm not sure what the problem is. :?

Anyone else experiencing the same problems?

roster to roster stat transferring for multiple players

Postby celticslegend33 on Fri Jan 31, 2003 5:17 pm

Andrew,

Are you saying I should transfer all the files manually? Is there any other way I could transfer all the stats alone, like for example, through the MegaModifier?

DB Commander is shareware, right? Can I edit the databases using MS Excel?

Thanks.

Yeah, it's safer to do it manually. You can't use the Mega Modifier, that feature of the Toolkit is only used for making global adjustments to ratings.

DB Commander is shareware, but still functional after 30 days. MS Excel can be used, but in my experience it often corrupts the DBF upon saving. I recommend always using the Toolkit or a DBF editor, both of which are safer than Excel.
