Atlanta Hawks @ Los Angeles Lakers

Los Angeles Lakers tried to bounce back from a back to back lost and they started the game pretty well. But the Hawks, headed by Tyronn Lue, had another plan. Lue scored 8 points to lead the Hawks to a 6 point 1st quarter lead. Lakers then made a run in the 2nd quarter but only managed to cut the deficit to half as they went to the dugout. Hawks led 53-50.

Lue continued his great play in the 2nd half and helped the Hawks maintained their lead with just 1 quarter left. Hawks played good in the 4th quarter put the game away with less than 3 minutes left. Lakers lost this one, 105-90 for their 3rd straight setbacks.

New Jersey Nets @ Los Angeles Lakers

Los Angeles Lakers started this game with an 11-2 run and were looking good early in the game. But a late quarter run by Nets helped them to cut the deficit to 4 at the end of the 1st quarter. Lakers managed to protect their lead in the next period and even extended it to 7 at halftime break.

The Nets headed by Carter and Kidd helped the Nets tied the game in the 3rd period. Then Lakers for the 2nd straight games were outplayed in the 4th quarter and completely collapsed for another sorry loss.

Detroit Pistons @ Los Angeles Lakers

Los Angeles Lakers made a different approach in this game as they made it a defensive game. Lakers held the Pistons to 16 points and scored 26 points to lead by 10 after one quarter. Lakers extended their lead to 15 and held into it until halftime.

Pistons then tried to make a come back but weren’t able to cut the deficit to single digit. In the last quarter, Lakers fans saw another collapse in the making when they lead was cut to only 6 points. But Bryant made sure they will win this game by hitting consecutive jumpers and put the game away with some free throws. Lakers snapped their 4 losing skid with a 91-81 win against the defending champion.

Dang, you really struggled against the Hawks and Nets but then you beat the Pistons  Keep up the good updates and it looks like you played better when kobe scored in the upper 30's.

well against the hawks, kobe still not 100% because of injury. versus the nets his injury already heal and im doing okey in the beginning but in the end i suck. guess something to do with my new slider. and against pistons, i really want to win badly so i put the ball more on kobe.

well i got some bad news for all of you.... im experiencing it for some time. when ever i sim the day, sometime it crashed esp if there are a lots of game... i found a solutions on this but i take some time to simulate lots of day esp if i dont have game on that day... i dont know what coz this.. it only occur on this dynasty.. in my other dynastis i can simulate the entire season without crashing. seems like something to do with all the dbf editing of trades and rookie scouting.

also since i receive a pda notifying me the starter of all-star, i try to sim it and play the rookie-sophomore game... it crash... so what i did i load different dynasty and sim til thr rook-sop game and it crash. so i try not to enter the dynasty mode and play all-star weekend in the game menu and it also crash. means i can play the rook-soph in my live. so i need some help with this...i m planning off making a custom team with the rook and soph line-up and hope it works.. so it might take sometime before i can make an update aboout the all-star weekend.

EL SEGUNDO, Calif, Feb 12 - The Los Angeles Lakers announced today that kobe Bryant was invited to participate in the Slam-dunk competition on All-Star Weekend which wil be held in Denver, Colorado next week.
This announcement came after the NBA announced the starters for the Rookie-Sophomore Game and the East-West All-Star game.

Image

The Rookies will be headed by by 2nd overall pick Emeka Okafor of Charlotte Bobcats . He will be join by Andre Iguodala of Philadelphia and Robert Swift of Seattle Supersonics in front court. Meanwhile the backcourt will compose of Chicago Bulls' Ben Gordon and Devin Harris of Dallas Mavericks. All except Okafor have won Rookie of the Month honors.

Image

The Sophomore line-up looks very impressive. It will be headed by last year Rookie of the year Lebron James of Cleveland Cavaliers. He will team up with Dwayne Wade of Miami Heat to form one of the best backcourt. At frontcourt, it will be headed by Denver Nuggets' Carmelo Anthony, much improved Chris Bosh of Toronto Raptors and a suprise selection of Chris Kaman.

Image

On the main event, Miami Heat's Shaquille O'Neal will leading the East All-star for the 1st time in 9 years. He will team up with Jermaine O'Neal of Indiana Pacers and Vince Carter of New Jersey Nets. The East backcourt wil composed of streaky shooter Paul Pierce of Boston Celtics and Allen Iverson of Philadelphia 76ers.

Image

The favorite West All-Star will be headed by Los Angeles Lakers Kobe Bryant which also go up against former teammate O'Neal just for the 2nd time this season. Another suprise selection was Baron Davis of New Orleans Hornets. The resident frontline of West were still intact this 3 starts in the last 3 all-star game. Reigning MVP Kevin Garnett of Minnesota Timberwolves and 2-time MVP Tim Duncan and Yao Ming of Houston Rockets will again formed one of the biggest frontcourt.

Into the New Year we go:

...from the annals of the 2005 Birdie Project: (info)
Micchy Boy's Lakers 2004-05 mid-season Birdie Breakdown:

Image

So as the season progresses, so does Micchy Boy's Lamar Odom improves ever so slightly from a weighted Birdie score of 21.73 to 22.31- again taking Team MVP honors and his second 'reversible' Live Card is now enabled.

Odom's Live Card preview:

So we're moving on up:
This Dynasty instance is currently ranked #3 on the 2005 Birdie Board
(and no penalties again!)

Complete 'Birdie Breakdown' coverage AND to see Odom's ' reversible' Live Card click here.

Micchy_boy : YES! Definitely definitely send me your pstats at 3/4 and at the end of the season! I find it very awesome that you've seemed to update your thread more now that you 'semi-retired' it. I can't wait next season and see how the NLSC player that lands on your team fairs in the Birdie Ranking system  Keep up the good work!

Los Angeles Lakers @ Cleveland Cavaliers

Image

Los Angeles Lakers headed by Bryant made a big early run to easily lead by double digit in the quarter. James, after scoring the first basket of the game, missed 6 straight shots and struggles most of the quarter. After Lakers displayed great offensive game in the 1st quarter, they did an awesome job in the next quarter. They limited the Cavs to only 12 points to extend their lead to 23 points, 53-31.

Cavs again failed to score more than 20 points in this quarter. James, sat down due to foul trouble, could only watched Bryant displaying his offensive skill in the 3rd quarter. Lakers even took a big 32 point lead in this quarter. In the last period, with the game already decided, Bryant this time watched James scored on garbage time just to add to his point’s production. In the end, Lakers won this 96-73.

Utah Jazz @Los Angeles Lakers

Image

Los Angeles Lakers, riding on a 2-game winning streak, came in the game flat. They were held to only 16 points and shooting very poor in the field. They recovered in the next quarter but still couldn’t stop the great game of Jazz. Giricek sat most of the half due to foul trouble but seems like a blessing in disguise as Raja Bell stepped up and scored 12 points in this half. Jazz led 51-45.
Lakers tried couples of run in the 3rd period but the Jazz held their ground and successfully answered all Lakers run. Boozer came big in this quarter and most of his points came from offensive rebounds and putbacks. Bryant put matters in his own hand as he single-handedly tried to tie the ballgame. He led a run that cut the lead to only 4 but that was the closest they came. Lakers lost their last game before the All-Star Weekend.

well its more of a turning point of my dynasty, less write-up which only results in easily got burned and too much stress. Now its more games played which results into more fun and easily heading to the next season with all the NLSC players.

thanks. yeah i figure it out and i can play the rook-soph game. the game crashing still there though sometimes frustrates me but its more frustrating to see you whole dynasty gone. and good luck to your dynasty. hope to see your update soon...

jxuusa wrote:nice... and i'm waiting on the all star weekend, should be pretty good :D

yeah if not only the problem about the rook-soph game i encounter and the holiday season, i should already finish it. well dont worry, i will gonna play it later and give you all the full coverage of all events.

Again Thanks to all supports....
Happy New Year!!!
