Alley-Oop

Is there any way to disable the ugly Alley-Oop icon and just base it on the skill of the player receiving it? I think it's a mistake on 2K's part. I hope there's already a mod to fix it in previous games.

I'm guessing it could be modded to be invisible, but I don't think there's a way to disable the underlying mechanic, so it's not really viable. I'm not a fan of the mechanic either, and haven't been since it was introduced.

Personally I think the alley oop mechanics are terrible this year and maybe its just me but on Allstar/Superstar I can hardly pull the pass off, on this play here truth me told I was actually trying to hit the icon triangle pass to Bridges on the break when this happy accident happened lol

Happy accident indeed, I'd love to be able to pull off lobs like that in recent games!

I agree with you completely. It's the least immersive thing in the world. The previous mechanic of pressing Y or triangle twice and that's it was much better.
