Roster editing using CE

Has anyone tried to edit the All-Star Teams?

I have temporarily changed them to regular teams and made the player edits and then switched them back to original team type. It does work but for some reason the roster rotation and starters don't want to work it just throws out some other starting 5 instead.

sorry to bother you. i'm just new to CE. Can CE also change jersey ID?
for example i want to use the 11 bulls jersey ID to 91 bulls.
change 93 nuggets to 03 04 pacers can i set the jersey ID to pacers?

I would suggest you just copy over the info like u003chi_2017_home overwrite u567chi_91_current_home and adjust any colors if you need to. I'm not sure how to use the GID number because it tends to crash the roster or send it in an infinite loop if you change it so I just leave any of the GID numbers alone. You might be able to change the secondary GID numbers and get away with it but make sure you keep backups of the roster you are working on.

Same with nugs and pacers try u020ind_1998_home over u588den_94_current_home and then match up hex colors. Also make sure you get that Jersey ID for the correct preview and warmups maybe idk if the old teams wear them this year.

If you read back through this thread you can see what some have said about how the GID numbers work but to be safe I have just avoided messing with those.

If I can figure out what to name the accessories and the parts that are colored then I will add them to the jerseys table. There are colors for upper and lower accessories but once they get sorted out it will just be copy paste to add them

try to change the team type to 4(classic team) temporarily for the all star teams, see if your able to change rotations this way. or
the players seem to be unique to the team with no career stats and their own cf, so maybe you can just change the names/cfs/positions/attribs/tends/etc... to match the current all star teams so you don't have to touch rotations?
after your done editing don't forget to change the team types back to default values.
i'm going to try this on my roster soon, hope this way works...

I think I tried that as well. But I will try again to make sure.

I have also tried to rewrite specifically the position they are in with who I want to replace them with but it just seems to do whatever it wants idk

the recent tables aren't working with "2ks latest roster", hopefully someone can release one last set of tables after 2k releases the all star update.

you guys should know by now to backup your exe files before and after each patch.
Also, anyone can update the tables if you learn how to find pointers in cheat engine.
Not saying that finding pointers is easy but the more people that learn it, the more help we have going forward and into next year.

Last time I did a backup was Patch 1.06.
Then an update happened, forgot about backing up. So there..

Use the below link patch to create an NBA2K18 1.04 exe and those 1.04 cheat tables will work for you again.

EDIT: After more testing, the downgrade patch method was not working properly.

For those of you who want to use the old cheat tables but you did not back up your previous exe file.

the roster editing table don't work with patch 1.04 ..

I did more testing and noticed that the newly created exe files are not working as intended. The only thing that happens is the new exe files launch the original nba2k18.exe file.

I confirmed this by removing the original nba2k18.exe and attempting to run one of the newly created .exe's.
Steam immediately downloads the nba2k18.exe again and then boots that instead of the newly created .exe

In conclusion, this downgrade method is not working at all.

So I'm new to cheat engine. I've downloaded CE 6.7 and the jersey table from the original post, version 3, however when I go to run the table, I get the error "This is not a valid cheat table (Error executing this table's lua script: Undefined lua error)". Can anyone help me out?

oct 13, 2017 should be patch 1.04 as per the steam database manifests
it downloads to steam\steamapps\content\app_577800\depot_5787801. the nba2k18.exe downloaded is patch 1.04. back it up somewhere on your hard drive. place the patch 1.04 exe into your nba2k18 folder so that cheat engine can work.
