Huge Find | Export full MyLeague rosters (including art and stadiums)

*Towards the latter part of the video I say "This is garbage" , I am referring to the fact that starting MyCareer over means getting stuck in some movie and cutscense sequences. I am not referring to NBA 2K17 itself. I mean no disrespect to the devs at 2K, I just got frustrated with sitting through the Midnight Madness Scene.
This is the only video game I currently play and I enjoy the game. I do not want anyone watching the full video to get the wrong idea about my statement*

In this video I will discuss exporting and converting your MyLeague roster for use as a roster. This will method will allow user to share full High School, College, and International rosters complete with logos, team names, shoes, jerseys, and courts all at once.

This method is great for upload your roster to 2K share so other can download a roster complete with all art.

This method is great for using with MyCareer or MyLeague and MyGM.

Imagine all the possibities we now have:
-Retro MyCareer
-College rosters with no additional downloads
-extend your myleague to an infinite number of years
-International MyCareer

User ksmiz and I discovered that we can do this on PC right now in NBA2K17!!! I figured out that you don't even need modding tools to do it.
ksmiz also has an alternate method be I have not been able to reproduce his method just yet but it does work.


For now this is only on PC for now, but will hopefully be possible in NBA 2K18 for all consoles.

That's crazy... it's really that simple. I remember trying everything to get MyLeague edited jerseys to load up outside of MyLeague itself earlier in the year.

I didn't think that just renaming a MyLeague file would make it apply to every other mode. Nice work guys

So if this works for 2K18... whoa. Things could be a lot easier...

I checked my roster before telling you and I picked out teams that all had jerseys. I think most of your teams worked but if not I went looking for another. You just gotta make sure everything looks good in myleague and then from there you should be good to go. There's a lot of team designs that look good but once you go into jersey they are blank.
If anyone wants to check out another roster that works check my same username as online id on 2kshare and roster name is test. I didn't worry about the players but some of the teams do actually match up just because I started with that ncaa roster.
I have worked on a couple teams for an all-time college roster but that's about as far as I've started into doing a full roster like this, if anyone wants to help out I'll upload what I have on that too

Cool to see a big development this late in the modding "season" for NBA 2K17.

Can't believe there hasn't been more comments here. This is an incredible find TG, great work as always man. Always wanted to do a D League or Euro league My Career and this looks possible now. Shuajotas d league MOD will work great with this idea.

All excited went and tried this out, roster won't load, says file is corrupted. I downloaded your NCAA roster file, was scrollling through it and then NBA2K17 crashed. Wonder if this is my machine or has anyone else tried this out?

I stated that you have to restart the game before loading the roster. I will have plenty of free time this weekend and plan to do tutorials starting tommorow.

Think I'm already suBscribed so I'll keep a look out for it. Tried it again by restarting with my own roster file, game just crashes when i try to load or edit it. It would be typical if it's just happening for me! Appreciate the help man. Thanks.

edit: got your roster working perfectly. Must be just my machine not liking me changing files. have restarted it a few times now and keeps crashing.

If you rebrand a team, the game will only use the computer generated portrait.

Probably but know one has found it to my knowledge. Actually I haven't even tried

No not really because I always back up my files. Try using steam to verify the game integrity.

Didn't work. Thankfully I have a backup but it's from before I made about 20+ portrait changes and like 40 transactions. I never knew that rosters could disappear from the game.
