I would love to add roster sets that may include any of the following
-Opening Night roster
-Final roster (end of season)
- Accurate Draft Class
- Free Agent pools that are accurate for the respective season (this would take a lot of work and research)

I would also like to have a slider set for each era. (Eras would have to be clearly defined, not just by decade)

If anyone knows how to remove the two way contracts while editing rosters in the main "edit roster" screen, please let me know. It appears two way contracts can not be changed.

I'm willing to help with sliders, tendencies, ratings, signature shots, signature skills, badges, hotzones etc. I am great with data and statistics, I can try to translate that data into ratings and into tendencies etc.

I love the concept about Sliders for different era's, seasons. I think that is required, especially if it's a big-man era or a big-man orientated retro-roster.

I think we should dive into the past but too far out. Would you be okay doing a vote/poll?

Example:

2009-2010 Season.
2003-2004 Season.
1999-2000 Season.
2013-2014 Season.

Reason, I am picking these years as an example. It's recent memory, we have more data than ever before and I think we have a talented group of people on this website alone that have done great work in the past on players, arena's, jerseys, and even rosters that can be used/or learnt from. If we embrace each-other, and show love to one another, we can ultimately reach the highest of heights.

If you are going to focus on single seasons, I'll focus on the Ultimate Classic Teams Roster. I think it would be a good combination.

My roster will have the current teams intact, while also adding a slew of new classic teams and filling the default ones, and you will have single seasons.

Does that work for you?

Timmyd, great to see your enthusiasm. No need to vote on seasons. I will just work backwards by season until I can no longer continue. I will do as many seasons as possible as long as I have help.

There wont be redmc tool for current gen. Even if, its not so easy to just copy and paste. Convertion from 2k13 into 2k14 is not that easy, convertion from 2k12 into 2k14 was even worst. 2k13/k14 and 2k18 is complete different file structure.

You realize that's impossible right? None of the art files work, all the faces would need to be made again, same with jerseys etc.

Check out the NBA 2K17 section and more of this section to see what I am talking about. It is not easy, it would be ridiculously time consuming as everything would have to be remade. It takes a few days to get one team accurate and correct (cfs, jerseys, courts, stadium, logos, ratings, tendencies, signatures, etc).

A UBR will not happen for 2K18. However, we can push out a few single seasons, a classic teams roster, a draft roster, and a better all time teams roster.

The work that needs to be done is an insane amount.

Here are my 2 cents to the project : I am currently working on 85 draft class...

That's why I mentioned 3 seasons total as a realistic goal, and mentioned 07-08 and 96-97. If we can maybe throw an 80's season in there as well (Like 84-85), that would give us a season from each decade, to go along with a few other specialty rosters (Which I did for 2K17).

That's great I will try to help with portrait , but I think we can make more Saison and we can get more help also

For now I will continue working backward (at least to finish the 2016 2017 roster).


But if anyone has already created retro teams like Dee4three please let me know the name of the roster and the retro teams included.

I want to make it clear that I am not trying to be the authority for retro rosters. I just want to make as many retro season bases as I can.

I will be busy working a full time job and tending to a newborn also. So please don't expect rapid releases. For now the only thing Im focused on is putting players on the correct teams. I can worry about art, ratings, accessories and accurate player info after each player is in the right spot for each team for the respective season.

I will be back with updates on my progress and direction this weekend. You guys just keep creating and working on whatever you have.

To those still in 2K14 with the ability to work on 2K18, all I have to say is that the community is at a point right now where it would benefit tremendously from your services and would push 2K modding over the hill. All of the current tools allow us to work on rosters near the level of 2K14 with the only ability missing is the ability to add brand new files into the game.

For this roster, I think it'd be a good idea to put all the players into the CAP pool and share that file (if possible). Putting players in the CAP allows editing to go by much faster since you can copy those players unlimited times and then it's just a means of adding badges and editing attributes, bios, and tendencies.

Johnny 2K I was trying to copy players to cap pool but I noticed animations, stat history, draft info was missing so that is why have chosen to just compile rosters while going backwards.

I have 9 teams left to finish for the 2016/2017 Final rosters. I will then move to 2016/2017 Opening Night rosters and 2015/2016 Final rosters.
I will have more details once I have a roster completed. As stated before I am moving backwards.

With Dee taking an absence from 2K18 I'm free to work on some other retro rosters. Just PM me if you need anything, I'm willing to help.
