long buzzer beaters

i was just thinkin and i dont think i have hit one long buzzer beater in '04

personally i think it would be cool if live made that one part of the game slightly unrealistic and just let a couple of em fall...

not ridiculous but just enough that when you let off that bomb from your free throw line your still hopefull as you watch it fly

Wow, really? I've hit a few since I've been playing and just recently hit one tonight with Chucky Atkins. It was from half-court, do you consider that long enough? Or are you talking past half-court?

I have hit one with C.Anthony from half court in all star game..

i hit one with kobe in '03, from the other free throw line in an asg againest my friend, but i didn't count, that's all i hit, i would like to hit more, but they keep cutting the damn screen sometimes.

Only fullcourt shot I have EVER made in my NBA Live career was in 2000 on N64 I hit a full court shot with Anthony Peeler.

good... i hoped it wasnt just me...
even though live is obviously a sim and the goal is absolute realism, dont you think it wouldnt hurt to sort of beef up that one little aspect of the game...

I remember in NBA Live 97 it's quite easy to make full court shots. Once i played a game with my friend and he made one at the buzzer in the forth quarter and won the game by 1 point then we went to Mcdonald's and I paid for everything~~

I've seen/made quite a few buzzer beaters. One guy I played online just mashed the steal/dunk layup button, and when he stripped the ball at the freethrow line, he was still pushing the steal button (which happens to be the same button for layups/dunks) with sam cassell, and he threw up a wild shot and it was nothing but net.

I've made some 'D-Fish' like buzzer beaters, I would have, say 0.7 seconds left, and I'd just inbound and release as fast as I could, and I made it. Made for some cool replays too.


P.S.- also, I hope they change the sound of the buzzer. Has anyone noticed the sound is different? I think the shotclock buzzer is the same as in the NBA, but at the end of a quarter, it's a horn, not a buzzer, and sounds like the same horn when you do substitutions.

The CPU hit alot of buzzer beaters on me before. I played an All-Star game and Kobe hit a full court shot on me with a stroke. I thought it looked unrealistic to me. No way on earth can you hit a full court shot with a jumper.

I hit a bunch of gamewinning three's with Chauncey Billups. Dude is clutch.

I hit a buzzer beater from half-court when I played my friend. I was the Bulls and Kirk Hinrich hit a lucky shot. My friend was pretty pissed.

I made a game tying 3-pointer from half court with clutch himself Kobe Bryant against the Dallas Mavericks in Live 04, it was the first game of my franchise. I lost in overtime tho.

Yeah, one thing that I really don't like in Live is how they shoot long range shots like it's a walk in the park. You should see them bend low and twist their torso and stuff as if they're about to launch the ball into space... but then again look at the commercial where Lebron shot those fullcourt shots..

It was obivous when he was standing there and shooting a jumpshot that was not putting a lot of effort into.

That wasn't fake! I still believe!

Maybe Lebron plays a little too much Live 04.

Of course it was fake. Just look how you can't see the ball when it goes off the top of the screen.
