Finally downloaded the 2K14 version of the URB. The gameplay has been the BEST I have played in 2 years of having this game.
I used URB a few times for 2k13 and was satisfied.

Now that I finally got URB with draft classes for 2K14 this is looking really good. The gameplay is really good with the settings files.
I always hate to see the overall ratings but when you dig deeper everything is pretty accurate as usual. It really shines through in
the gameplay. You really have to scout players.

hmm, im not sure, i think first i must understand how portrait file works, its similar with logos_large file? Can i add new portraits spots and how i can recognize portrait id? Maybe i could use your png straight from your universal portraits project, ofc with your permission. But first it looks i need some instructions from you. Thanks in advance.

Wait... URB doesn't have a portrait file already? :O

You need to learn how to use the TiT (Totall Installer Thingy) for MBL 2K12 and the Portrait Builder. Then that will be your primary tool for adding/replacing portraits (you will no longer use ModTool for portraits). There are tutorials here in the forums, you can just search around. You can use all of the resources in the Universal Portrait Project once you figure out what the portrait builder & TiT do. You can ask me anything after you've read and tried some of the tutorials.

I'm not really sure which portraits you need, I just wanted to share with you the rookie & new player portraits I just did for this season. I'll shoot it your way tomorrow since my internet connection has been all sorts of ass today.

Yes, I must be the only one playing MyCareer - FinalURB2016MyCareer roster

Also I noticed, when I started my career, my first name was not displayed.(even on team roster list, not R.Johnson, but just Johnson)
It didnt bother me at first...

Then I noticed every opponent team has a player named Johnson - The announcers were just going crazy with the Johnsons.
So now when I played Grizzlies thought about checking who is that Johnson on the team.
I open roster I see just Johnson there(no first name) with Vince Carter's portrait

Unfortunately my gfx is bad to read names from jerseys, but he had Vince Carters number and headband an everything, not sure about the name on Jersey, but on box score he was shown as Johnson.

So yeah MyCareer seems a bit bugged.. Not sure if kevin is still around, but I think he didnt have no name bug in his MyCareer roster - hopefully he can help you sort it out.

yes i think its bugged because i made pasting on blind without thinking so i must back to older one but working like a charm and start from there one more time with latest updates.
And yes i think you are the one from two users playing mycareer, but like i said i care about ALL HERE lol.

I tested this project some time ago then I removed 2K14 from my HD (not MOD fault, first impressions were great, just personal, lost motivation to play)

Maybe I could reinstall one day coz I miss real basketball...Penny, AI, T-Mac, VC, rookie Melo, first LBJ, Flash Wade and vintage Kobe

Vanilla game itself is quite boring...up-tempo basketball, a lot of 3's, 1vs1, PGs monster blocks, big men erratic iso, no half court, no post touches and moves...hope this mod giving realistic feelings in terms of gameplay

2k13 is the answer for this... @sko and @slimm did their best to fix nba 2k14 gameplay and they've manage to fix it as far as they could, but still some of the issues you've mentioned occure, it's just hardcoded in the game... so only way is URB 2k13 (i hope @sko will never give up on his baby).

Madball, I'm not sure what you're talking about. If you play a game with the retro teams there will not be an abundance of 3's. The further you go back, the more big men will get touches and the post game is active. I've been sharing a lot of screens with SKO via facebook and there is no shortage of mid range game. What issues do you see that Lakeshow mentioned?

How to install URB when i have UBR installed?
