How do I trade legendary players to active rosters before i

Can someone tell me how I can trade legendary players to active rosters before i start a franchise? I cant figure the damn thing out. I'm stuck on atupid.

Options, Roster Creator, Create Roster
To trade players you need to select one and choose either trade to another team or assign to another team
You need to keep a minimum of 13 players on a team though, so use some free agents to make it easier.

Too bad a lot of Legends are exclusive to MyTeam. So, the people who don't play this mode don't have Jason Kidd, Grant Hill, Jerry Stackhouse, Kevin Johnson, etc
