05 Suns and 06 Heat announced. Now I think it's even more unecessary to add the 13 Heat, I didn't thought they would add duplicates of the same franchise in this new wave of Legend teams. Now 2 spots left and I think 03 Spurs will be one of them (We don't have any champion Spurs in the game). The other one, I don't have any idea between 09 Lakers, 07 Nets, 09 Cavs or 12 Thunder

It is kind of overkill to have them both, but my guess is that they secured the rights to include a bunch of new older teams, decided to squeeze in a couple more, and went for some more recent ones like the '13 Heat because of their significance and the whole "How would they stack up against the great teams of the past?" debate.

I hope 2K doesn't disappoint me and put at least the 8 best players on each of those new teams. To make it clear: I want Nick Van Exel (03 Mavs and 98 Lakers), Jason Williams and Antoine Walker (Both 06 Heat) playable. Don't want an old Gary Payton start for the Heat just because of budget. The teams need to be complete, or don't even bother adding them. On 2k13 we had the 85 Sixers without Julius Erving, Charles Barkley and Andrew Toney, this type of mistake should never happen again

I'd want the teams to be the 70-71 Bullets (with Wes Unseld and, like in the 71-72 Knicks, Earl Monroe) and the 73-74 Celtics (featuring Paul Westphal and, like in the 64-65 Celtics, John Havlicek), but due to licensing issues, I'm guessing the last two historic teams are the 02-03 Nets (with Jason Kidd and Richard Jefferson) and the 00-01 Bucks (with Glenn Robinson, Ray Allen and, like in the 93-94 Rockets, Sam Cassell).

I badly wanted my 06 Miami Heat team! And I do hope all the top players are on there. Shaq, Haslem, walker, Wade, white chocolate, Posey, Mourning, GP. Definitely need those 8. Watching them on NBA TV now in the finals vs Dallas. Can't wait to play with them.

04 Timberwolves and Cavs confirmed (It was in one of the screenshots on the MyTeam thread). I don't know if the Cavs are 07 or 09, but the gold instead of yellow in the logo confirms it

I agree. I would choose the Nets over Cavs just because of Jason Kidd (He was Onyx card last year), but the Cavs was my third choice on the last 15 years, and the Wolves is my first. They should find a way to put the MyTeam legends for Offline Rosters, like a Legends Pool or something like that. My Legends Roster would be so much better with Kidd, KJ, Majerle, Chambers, Thurmond, Archibald, Cousy, Rice, J.Rose, etc

I was upset over the choices of these retro teams but im trying to tell myself it wont matter because this community is amazing we'll eventually have any retro team or player we want. I hope it's mod friendly or someone figures it out!

I hope this time we have the option to change the nickname when we create a player. Or not have any nicknames at all. I remember in 2k13/2k14 when using a Roster editor, we had the option to choose player type (created or official player), so when I choosed official player type, it would ignore any nicknames automatically. If I already use a name that have an internal audio in the game, then I don't need any nicknames

I have a feeling they're going to do this for a lot of teams... for example the 05-06 Heat, watch them copy and paste the current Heat Jersey and leave it at that. I bet they won't even put the shine on the jerseys like they were from 1999 to around 2010. We all know what 2K Sports are like...

Im only speaking from past experiences, for example the current Lakers Jerseys which I have countlessly tried to point out but it seems no one gives a fuck. The 94-95 Knicks jersey in 2K15 is completely wrong, especially the colour. Not to mention the style of the jersey, the jersey was tight yes... but not the shorts. They got baggy in the 90's. Every single classic player looks like they've been copy pasted from last gen ports with their crappy textures. They make this big effort on "classic teams" but you'll find half of them will be half-arsed and won't even have the correct features such as jerseys, faces etc.

I'm sorry if I look like I'm bitching but I'm only speaking the truth because I know this will happen. If it doesn't I will be completely shocked.

There's a reason for that. They can't exactly bring players in from the 90s to have their faces scanned. Well, they can, but they're going to look like the 40+ and 50+ year olds that they are now. No HD photographs to work with from that era, either. Therefore, as the graphics improve, there will be a bit of a divide between the classic players who they have to model the old fashioned way, and current players who can be scanned. They are working with some limitations there.

I agree they could do a better job with the classic players. Especially the 85 Sixers with Moses and Dr J. Moses looks like someone with a decease in his brain, don't have the hairline problem like Moses had, and wear googles (He didn't wear googles with the Sixers). And Dr J is too dark, he should have the same color skin as Cheeks. Same with Vince Carter (I hope the 2000's Vince don't have the same colour skin as LeBron like in 2k15)

I agree and fully understand the limitations, but it looks like they barely even tried. Anyone can look at those classic players and realize they look nothing like themselves or just something is wrong with them. A lot of them look sickly with some life threatening condition. If the modding community can make amazing textures for retro players and head shapes, then i'm sure they can too, but it's clearly just not a priority for them. Also agree on the shorts length. That's annoyed me for a long while to last gen versions. 90's shorts are too short. I don't see why it's too difficult to add an editing option on short length to scale from short as short can be(40s-80's) to about an inch below the knee(2000's). If you do that, might as well add a scale option for socks and accessories as well. I noticed the tattoos are able to be scaled now though.
