Hi. I have played your FIBA v.2.0 for NBA 2k14 and I have to say that you have done a great job. Well done and thank you for giving us the opportunity to play with national teams. It is really exciting that you are planning to make a v.3.0 and I am looking forward to it. So, I would like to make a suggestion: since national teams choose from a pool of players and since you are aiming to make the roster deeper, it would be nice if each of the 30 teams you are planning to create would have at least 15 players to choose from. I say at least 15 because I know that for some teams it would be difficult to create extra players but others (such as the US) could have up to 30. I think that would be helpful also, because national teams usually have issues with injuries or absences of some of their star players and I think it would be good to have the opportunity to include them. If this is something of interest to you, I would be happy to help by providing suggestions and photos for additional players (unfortunately I am not able to help in any other way). Keep up the good work.

A new era of FIBA 2K is coming.

Hey everyone. I'll be teaming up with the FIBA 2K team to revive the mod this year. All files will be organized to be compatible with other existing mods you may already have. A lot of cyberfaces are being updated as we speak and all players have consistent portraits as of their FIBA 2014 pictures that will proceed to the Universal Portrait Project. The CF IDs for FIBA 2K14 will be from 6000 onwards which complies with the Universal CF ID List. The logos file that I will upload will also be compatible with the NBA and PBA rosters so you can always switch easily between rosters without having to reopen NBA 2K14.

Right now I'm focused on improving the 24 FIBA 2014 World Cup rosters consisting of the following:

What's New?

Nothing really, in fact this update has a lot less stuff, I hope 30 quality teams are better than 70 teams.. Just some all-around improvements to the mod. I guess you can say I'm putting my touch on it or giving it my quality seal of approval. So what exactly are these things I did?

Accurate Name, Height & Positions According to the FIBA 2014 Website
Complete Updated FIBA 2014 Player Portraits for All 24 Teams
Complete Updated FIBA 2014 Coach Portraits for All 24
Accurate Rotations as of the last box score for each team
Accurate Head & Assistant Coach Bio, Profiles & Ratings
Updated Play Styles & Tendencies for FIBA 2014 Experience & Results
Implemented FIBA Contract & Loyalty System (so that players will never leave their teams or test free agency)

I also made sure that NO NBA Files will be replaced with this mod except if you download the FIBA Optional Files that I will upload for the total FIBA conversion & presentation. This roster will also serve as a new and organized roster base for anyone who wants to further edit the FIBA 2K14 rosters.

A new era of FIBA 2K is coming.

With the 2014 World Cup rosters near done (just a bit more tweaking), I just need to add the remaining 6 expansion teams (Canada, China, Germany, Italy, Nigeria, Russia) and wait for the cyberfaces of the players. All of the 2014 World Cup rosters have portraits which will be included in the Universal Portrait Project (currently & temporarily known as the UBR-Medevenx Portrait Project), making this mod compatible with your current NBA and PBA rosters.

With more than 250 portraits added to the file, we still need to add the 6 expansion team's rosters and portraits. Once we compile all of the cyberfaces and rosters for the 2014 World Cup, then and only then will we expand the mod into the 2015 FIBA Zone Championships (AfroBasket, EuroBasket, Americas, Asia & Oceania). The team is currently working very hard on making new and accurate cyberfaces for the mod.

If you follow my NBA roster, expect the same quality and level of detail (accessories, rotations, ratings, etc.) that I will be bringing to FIBA 2K14. FIBA won't be having my white/black team color 2 nonsense for the rosters though, as I don't expect any actual transactions to occur. And if you follow my PBA roster, I can assure you that the compatibility of FIBA 2K14 with both your current NBA 2K14 AND PBA 2K14 will be flawless. I had already structured FIBA 2K14 to have no NBA files replaced, and should there be any FIBA-related presentation mods such as the FIBA Molten ball and other mods similar to that, a FIBA Optional Files will be available just like you see in PBA 2K14.

The team hopes that you will enjoy this brand new era of FIBA 2K14 that will be coming soon! With NBA 2K14 suspected of being the last modifiable PC version of NBA 2K, we hope to keep NBA 2K14 alive!

Update Log:

1. The 2014 FIBA World Cup rosters are now accurate (accessories, play styles, animations, rotations), with the heights taken in CM instead of FT/IN. So if ever you see a player with a wrong height in FT/IN, it's probably just a system error in the game. The height in CM will always be correct, don't worry.

2. The team colors and the jerseys tab are correct and rather very clean. However, an executive decision to make France's default jerseys sleeveless (instead of sleeved like in-real life) was made for users that cannot play NBA 2K14 on high settings. However, the sleeved jerseys are also available as alternates in the jersey selection.

3. With 24 of the 2014 World Cup teams added to the roster, we needed to fill the remaining slots with 6 teams which have been taken by the following:

Canada, China, Germany, Italy, Japan, Nigeria

2 FIBA EuroBasket 2013 Teams (Germany & Italy)
2 FIBA Asia 2013 Teams (China & Japan)
1 FIBA Americas 2013 Team (Canada)
1 FIBA AfroBasket 2013 Team (Nigeria)

4. Team Names (City Name, Team Name) are now using a different format which I believe is a really good decision. I made the format (National Name, International Name). Thus, teams are named "España Spain or Pilipinas Philippines".

5. Divisions & Conferences have now been adjusted according to their actual longitudinal coordinate position on the globe. Thus, here are the divisions for FIBA 2K14 v3.0:

6. A new default schedule for MyCareer & Association has been implemented. With 5 divisions per team, and 3 divisions per conference. I structured the schedule like this:

Your team will face all of the teams in your division (4 x 1 = 4 teams), 3 teams per other divisions in your conference (3 x 2 = 6 teams), and 2 teams per division on the opposite conference (2 x 3 = 6 teams) for a total of 16 games.

7. Draft Projection has also been projected using the FIBA World Rankings so each team has one pick in the FIBA Draft according to their world ranking. Since Team USA is #1, they have the first pick, etc.

8. Team Rivalries have also been updated based on the observations in the past (ie. Spain vs USA, Philippines vs Korea, Australia vs New Zealand, Angola vs Senegal, etc.)

Other teams like Chinese Taipei, Georgia, Great Britain, India, Russia, Venezuela didn't make the initial cut either. We currently want to focus on a quality 30-team mod first. Once we get the quality 30-team roster mod out, we can proceed with the FIBA 2015 Zone Championship Updates.

Timeline:

August 15 to August 18 = 2015 FIBA Oceania Championship [Projected Oceania Update]
August 20 to August 30 = FIBA AfroBasket 2015 [Projected AfroBasket Update]
August 31 to September 12 = 2015 FIBA Americas Championship [Projected Americas Update]
September 5 to September 20 = FIBA EuroBasket 2015 [Projected EuroBasket Update]
September 23 to October 3 = 2015 FIBA Asia Championship [Projected Asia Update]

Hopefully, we can release the 2014 World Cup rosters early in August, making Oceania (Australia & New Zealand) the first zone to be updated with 2015 rosters.

Thanks! If anyone has some comments or suggestions, please say so! The MyCareer mode tournament format is only 16 games long, I hope nobody has a problem with that..?

Also, I implemented a contract system that does not allow the players to leave their teams (I also put their loyalty at 100, contract thoughts edits, etc.)
