NBA 2K15 Common Problems and their Fixes

Here we have compiled a list of the most common problems and fixes for the PC version of NBA 2K15. Before you install the game, be sure that your PC meets the System Requirements to play.


System Service Exception Error

If you're seeing the SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION – 0x0000003B error message, it means that your operating system is out of date. This problem appears to be more common on Windows 7 OS that never ran a Windows update. The solution to this issue is to install the latest Windows update, or you can directly install the hotfix from Microsoft - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/980932.

Unable to install on a 32-bit machine

NBA 2K15 requires a 64-bit version of Windows 7 or higher. If you are still using a PC that runs on the 32-bit version of Windows, you may want to consider upgrading. To find out if your computer is running a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows, open System by right-clicking 'Computer' on 'Start menu', and then clicking 'Properties'. Under 'System', you can view the system type.

0xc000007b Error

There may be multiple reasons as to why you might receive the 0xc00007b error message when trying to run NBA 2K15 on a windows machine. In most cases it's .NET framework causing issues. This can easily fixed by re-installing latest .NET framework from Microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download ... x?id=30653.

Graphic Stuttering / FPS drop

It's a known issue and 2K Sports are working on a fix. This problem tends to happen more often during cut-scenes. Some users had success by enabling the V-Sync in the video settings.

Failed to Start the Game (Missing Executable)

This error results from the improper delivery of necessary game files. You may need to completely re-install NBA 2K15.
For Steam copies: Right-click NBA 2K15 from your library, select properties, select local files tab, and click the “Verify Integrity of Game Cache” button. Wait until it says "All files are validated."

Is there an official NBA 2K15 forum, where 2K reps respond to questions? Where did you find these info? Do you know when are they going to release that fix for graphic stuttering?

First after the YourTimeHasCome video, after 3 times. It's on the menu now.

I can't change the shot for a player. For instance if i change the base for d wade to lebron the jumpshot is still the same as it were before i changed it. Is there a way to fix this ??

Are you saving, uploading, and then loading the roster properly at the team select screen?

when i start the game,i see only KD pic and crash.pop up notification for not optimal resolution.but i am a optimal.my opt. resolution is 1366x768.

I am getting freezes during game when I am playing my league games. Any hints on fixing this?

Why does my team miss every open shot including lay ups yet the other team shoots +60% every game on myplayer. Also why is the person I'm guarding switched constantly even if there is no reason for us to switch who were guarding against. This game has me running around the whole court trying to guard 5 players. Or a guy will drive and right before he's about to score they tell me I'm supposed to guard him.

Nvidia's latest 344.65 drivers did wonders for me in terms of micro stuttering, for what it's worth.

Can anyone tell me the location of the Mycareer Save File.....

Also i dunno if this is possible -
If before a critical decision (Eg) free Agency, Shoe Deal decision etc.. i Close the game.
Copy the Save file into another location.
Go ahead with 1 Decision (eg) Join the Celtics / Sign with Nike
Feel like i wanna go back and change the decision - Eg) Stick with Kings / Sign with Adidas
Copy the Alt Location (Pre-Decision) File & Rewrite the Existing (Post Decision) File.

WILL MY GAME START FROM BEFORE THE DECISION - Free agency / Choosing the Shoe deal

Any help on this will be Appreciated.

Mind proving that? I've played 2 seasons as a center, called for 100 alley oops never gotten a single one, asked on several twich steams if anyone could call for an alley op, the answer was no

it works fine in every other game mode, except mycareer

It worked for me from time to time - I pressed LT+X while running towards the hoop and having both clear path and clear passing lane.

Sometimes when running towards the hoop they attempt the alley oop even without me calling for it.

When I'll get home I'll see if I get something.

EDIT: So I just checked, when running towards the hoop and pressing LT+X to call for the lob I got Pass request ignored. PG in my team isn't very good though. It certainly depends on their tendencies

I've tried calling that commando 200 times, it gets ignored every single time

Well it surely depends on many factors: your position on the court, defensive pressure on both passer and receiver, passer's tendencies, passer's passing attributes, your athleticism, ...
I think athletic C will get much more lobs with CP3 than with Kobe for example...

you show me alley oop in career mode ill believe you, trust me i've called it so many times, and atleast once it must have been a decent option.

but you will never manage to do so until a patch

Don't know why I failed to finish it, but here's your lob at least I might have let go of the buttons, so my guy just decided to catch it instead of dunking.
