For the last time, Grave and Greg are two separate people. Grave has nothing to do with this tool at all, he's just some random guy on this forum. Why is everyone confusing the two?

What do you mean you can't upload files? You mean import? That's not possible yet.

to import it, I was wrong to write

Ok, i've made my plan on the importer. To be honest, i had no idea that patchers are importing such HUGE textures as a replacement for the original ones. My initial thoughts were that anyone would simply replace the textures with some same sized ones.

This is literally a piece of cake to do, in fact, nesa24 has already done pretty much the same thing with his tweaks. Whats the really really HARD thing is to be able to import larger textures and generally larger files than the originals.

Because i like difficult things, i'll go for this one :P. I've just completed the programming plan and what has to be made (as briefly as possible) and the whole plan is 3 pages long :P .The process will require a full rebuild of the 0A file and i think that this will be the slowest procedure, but looks necessary. The iff recreation and the separate archive file rebuilding are the easy parts :P

Anyway if anyone has a jersey or something for testing, please send it over :)

EDIT: One more note. Replacing textures with bigger ones, has another issue, which has to do with the uv mapping of the models. I'll come back to that later with more information, but in general replacing the textures with bigger ones, will probably require some more things than just replacing the image. Otherwise, the texture won't be placed correctly on the model, and it won't look as it should look.

In previous years, it looked fine, though. Vlad's tool allows for importing of higher resolution textures for 2K15, as well. I've yet to test it, though. I can if you'd like.

in previous years, that rebuilding step was not required, because all files were separated. But now it seems that something like this should happen in order for the import to work. If Vlad's tool does not do something like this, then i am clearly missing something.

For now, yeah, but he long run, higher resolutions are really important for courts.

gregkwaste, for now you can just do the replace texture, and do the higher resolution later.

i agree with this one so some of us can start modding if this program already have an importer.

Replacing with same sizes will definitely work, from the start. The worst case scenario is that the rest higher res importer won't work and only same texture size replacement will work xD :P

hi , first im not greg

and for the higher resolution in 2k14 only arena was better with higher resolution texture , the cyberfaces and jerseys was the same (Y)

Re: 2K15 Explorer [WIP] [v0.1 Released]

Fri Nov 21, 2014 11:01 pm

Well that's just untrue. HD cyberfaces and jerseys looked way better in 2K14.

First Import (from my side) :D

Image

Please be gentle, i have absolutely no idea where the textures are shown ingame. There are so many logo's i have no idea which ones to tweak :D

Yeah, most people just do texture imports for cyberfaces, courts, and things of that nature, which we know where those are 100%.
