Six New Official Court Updates

It's not about disrespecting people who are in more difficult situations, it's about complying with copyright law, which is part of our hosting agreement. Beyond that, we also want to be respectful and supportive of the companies who are developing basketball video games, and maintain a cordial and mutually beneficial relationship with them. To that end, we have zero tolerance policy on piracy. It's not that we're not sympathetic, but we have our rules in place, we have our reasons for having those rules in place, and anyone who registers to post in our Forum agrees to abide by those rules.

"I can't afford the game" or "I don't think this game is worth the price, so I'm pirating it" is no more of a justification to break our rules than "I know this isn't the right section to post this, but I feel like posting it here anyway", though obviously one infraction is a bit more serious than the other.

Will 2K ever have decent looking courts? How is it that a game that we know has a solid team, and is very successful put out courts that look like junk that belongs on Xbox 360? I just don't get it. Almost every aspect of the courts: logo textures, parquet textures, reflections, colors are hot garbage, and it goes unchanged!

It's literally one of the first things that you can point to if you want to improve the overall visuals of the game. It's blatantly obvious. And it's even worse for me now after playing Live 15, and seeing that great looking courts are possible, and how much it better it makes the game looks.

The Prince of modding works there now, I will be very disappointed if the courts are not revamped completely next year.

(this is all directed at the console version, I'm not playing it on PC, not that it should matter, they're 15 years or so into the series, how about some attention to the damn courts)

Hear hear. And it's easy to fix which just adds to the frustration. Does anyone else remember them touting the wood textures when next-gen was coming up? It's basically unchanged from last gen, just the reflections have been adjusted.

yeah i got them new updates as soon as they were released but i must admit i liked more 2k14 our custom made courts, it just felt someway better this is maybe the only part of the game that was better in 2k14, but nontheless i turn on anisotropic to 16 just to make it as much as possible good looking

some of guys here are very critic and hard on piracy stuff, just to be clear i'm not encouraging it but you shouldn't bash so hard someone for that because people live in all kinds of situations. Me and lots of you can easily buy this game, buy a PS4, high end PC and still we have money for family matters, hobbies and such but there are people who are stuck in difficult situations and some of you saying they shouldn't play games..like why ? we who live in higher standard countries should have all the good stuff, 4k televisions, high end PC's, next generation games and those who live in poor parts of the world should live like..caveman ? play with sticks and stones ? if i was CEO of some company i would giveaway games for those who are not able to buy it for many reasons i just think it's unfair if you live in Germany, France, USA..to have HD games in skyhigh resolutions with lifelike graphics and those who live maybe in africa or somewhere else need to play like .. duck hunt or super mario, it's just unfair for some people, make it available for everyone please

C'mon man. Look, many things have been said on this thread, and many others, but stealing the game is against the law; and inquiring about how to support pirated copies is against the rules here. End of story. I'm sure there are many places that allow it, but this site works with EA and 2K, to a degree, and it makes no sense to also help people who steal their products.

But somebody did make a comment that makes a ton of sense... You can afford the PC to run the game, but can't afford the game?? Like buying a Ferrari and being unable to afford the gas....

I know man, i always target to buy a legit game if i see that game is at least average to good quality, sometimes i play demos to see what's all about but to make it clear I always buy legit games but this post here regarding piracy i had to comment because some people here went really hard at this dude because of that, i mean it's cool to say 'it's not good, don't do that and things like that' but to insult someone like for real man..i had to jump in lol to say something, i'm just expressive person it's just like that, but yeah piracy ain't no good thing at all

same ppl complaining about dude pirating game are same folks that sit there pirating music and movies. Or even watching kiddy porn and selling drugs. Point is he shouldn't have even had brought up the fact that he did.

hell, ill pirate the shit out of some music... lemme speak on both of the subjects at hand in this threat though. firstly, im sure everyone here has stolen something before so lets get off of our damn high horses and stop acting like some self righteous ass born again christians. the law IS the law, piracy is a punishable offense, but we have all done something along said lines so lets just drop it.

secondly, man these courts are a letdown seriously. im sitting here staring at my ps4 now, wondering why i chose to download the game thru steam instead of just waiting 2 days and buying a hard copy for ps4. i havnt received any court updates, and waiting for our amazing team of modders to find a way to crack the game and get the modding ball rolling is kinda nerve wrecking this year, only because what we SHOULD be able to do with the new game should eventually be amazing... i guess im impatient.

Hi guys, after the court updates I see a black texture on the New Orleans Pelicans Court.
All the other courts are ok and they are updated correctly... I have tried to verify the integrity of game cache through Steam but I still have the problem... what can I do?

Hi guys, after a month I still have this problem. Patch #3 don't change this situation and I see the Pelicans court all in black without texture... solutions?
Where can i find the files that are downloaded for upload the courts? Maybe if I deleted this file can be re-downloaded by Steam?

Ok I found the solution for the black court!
I deleted the files inside the "local" folder (on "Steam/userdata/%randomnumber%/282350/local") and when I started NBA2k15 all the files have been downloaded again, without errors this time!
