PSA: If An Issue Was Gone With Patch 1 But Is Back With Patch 2...

Try opening VideoSettings.cfg in "%appdata%\2K Sports\NBA 2K15" and setting FAST_TEXTURE_TRANSFER = 0.

It did the trick for me!!!

nope, not better at all...if I turn the crown, pa announcer or the player chat on the game starts to stutter...It is sort of playable if I turn the whole sound of or if I only turn the commentators on and all the other sounds off...
god damn, isnt there a way to fix it or at least for those who didn't have the stutter issues (the game had stutter issues but atleast for me just in the preshow and the freethrows - now the whole game stutters) before the patches to roll the update back?

How do you open the VideoSettings,cfg file? I click on it and it says choose a program to open with.

Yeah, I too have to admit that the micro-stuttering returned after the second patch. Well the only positive thing I could say about the second patch is that it doesn't cause for me crashes or freezes during loading.

However, my framerate seems to fluctuate from 60-56 frames per second during gameplay causing performance issues with Player Detail on High. Now I have to sacrifice the player detail on Medium to get steady 60 frames per second again. Which is unfortunate really, when a slight dip of 3-4 fps causes the game to stutter when going to either side of the court.. When in the center of the court the frame rate remains at 60 fps. And that's with latest Nvidia drivers, which in fact improved the performance.

But before patch 2 I could play on High with steady 60 fps.. Changing FAST_TEXTURE_TRANSFER to 0 doesn't improve performance..

Doesn't change a thing. Glad I'm not the only one getting stuttering again.

Indeed, and it seems to be back with a vengeance too!

I sure wish I had made a backup of the first patched exe. I had the game running butter smooth after the first patch. The 2nd patch just put me back to square one like at release.

Leftos i have to big problems after patch 2,game worked superb for me and after you release second patch my ps3 joy dont work on my pc when i play online,but works when i play offline.That is major problem for me because i prefer to play online.Also when i play domination or challenge game in my team my points are always 0.Please help

the everlasting micro stuttering is killing all the fun in this game...plz fix it soon. I've tried modified the videoconfig file, reset affinity, changed nvidia control panel setting, but all of them can't solve the micro stuttering problem.

after installing pc patches, both of them, i didn't experience any framerate drops but i did experience since patching the game commentary is lagging behind actual game what's really going on is for example some of players got fouled goes to the free throw line, shoots free throws and then game goes back on offense and then finally commentators say something about foul when the game is really on the other side of the court..you know what i mean

I have a high end pc and I still have these micro stuttering...
Its freaking me out...

That first patch was on point. I'm regretting downloading that second. My hope is that we'll get a fix real soon.

Is there a way to use only the the First Patch and not the Second.
I have put my Updates on Manual. It shows the mandatory update on Steam but i am not sure it is the 1st or 2nd update.
The micro-shuttering for me is not so much of a problem but the Online Servers, Joystick Vibration etc are & would love to Update to solve them.

Any way i know whether its the First Update or does it directly update the Second Update?
also is there a way to revert back (without reinstalling etc - since mines a Digital Download it will cost me another 4-5 days)

No. You can't run the game through Steam unless it's updated.

I feel your pain man, the game feels like total enigma to me like one time i set all settings to high and loading time is like 20 seconds, then another time i raise up AA and put texture to medium then my loading time is like 40 seconds, sometimes i turn off AA set all to medium and again loading time is 40 sec..so i revert to medium AA and all high and i get fast loading..i don't get it, no logic there but i feel something isn't quite right out there in settings but it's cool for me because my only gripe is loading time, when i'm in the game i get steady 60 fps regardless of video settings but game isn't optimized very well and you can tell that by looking into graphic settings, usually good/great optimized games have many graphic options such as quality of this,that ..etc here in 2k15 you got like player textures quality, shader quality, spec effects..just a basic list of graphic options which make me think game isn't good optimized because they put special effects just into 1 category with OFF or ON..they should add many suboptions regarding those special effects, not just 'special effects : Off-On' #justsaying
