Yes, if by patch you mean GPU upgrade

The game is highly demanding which I really appreciate. Finally a game that makes the gpu sweat and the looks of it are just stunning

Here is my specs:
Intel i3-3210 3.2ghz
gigabyte h61m-ds2 3.0
4gb ddr3
amd radeon hd 5500 series
can i run it? and on what settings?

So my laptop spec are
i5+gtx570+8gb of RAM.
with 1920x1024 i must set all medium+low on shaders lol. Whats the worst, whatever i set i cant get stable 60fps. I know people would love to have 50fps but this frame drop make this game really bad experience. I will try all on low and see if i can get 60fps. Lower some sets to medium make jerseys looks terrible. Vsync on ofc, i feel little stuttering also. I will try new drivers but i dont believe in magic, maybe you guys got some tips how to set it?
You can't have a GTX570 in a Laptop lol. A 570M is not nearly as strong as a GTX570. Laptops are not made for Gaming (at Max Settings 60fps)

You GPU is way too weak, CPU should be fine. Try Low.

add nba2k15.exe into nvidia control panel programs list also.
various forums report that it is nvidia drivers issue.

That second part of the thread title is important; this thread is for posting your specs and an overview of how the game is performing for you. For general system requirements questions, including whether or not your PC will run the game, please use this thread:

AMD Phenom II X6
8GB of RAM
Radeon 7870 2GB
Now that I finally got the game running, I'm very pleased with my machine's performance. The game is running smooth on max settings. I was actually about to build a monster about a month ago just for this game, but decided to wait and see how my setup could handle it. I saved a lot of money and am very happy. I hope more people can experience the beauty of this game at peak performance.

I7 3770k
32 gb ddr3
Titan Black
Seagate Momentus xt hybrid.
Micro stutter something bad. I can actually max settings pretty high and not have traditional lag. It's micro stutter when playing. I have tried all of the various game based settings. Done triple buffering and vsync, all of them from variable to on to variable half rate. This is the newest nVidia whql release. I have tried taking control of aa and af from the control panel side, tried to help the program and over ride the program. Still it's microstutter. I only play on 2k or Drive. Don't have any interest in a broadcast cam. I've read comments that say we shouldn't expect this game to run like 14. I don't. But I do expect it to run like a $60 game. And, my specs taken into consideration, I expect it to run like BF4, Arkham Origins or Fifa15 do on my rig, maxed out. This game is desperately in need of a patch.

So here it is once again.
On my laptop:
-i5 2430
-gtx 570
-8gb RAM
I cant turn on Special Effects and Players Details because of huge drop. The worst thing is Special Effects, drop fps to 40, which is unplayable for me, i dont understand how some of you can play with 35-55fps.
With both turn off game and others to the maximum 2k15 runs smooth with 60fps, sometime drop on cutscenes. What more interesting, all other sets dont drop fps, none.
On my desktop:
-i7 old gen
-gtx 470
-6gb RAM
And now, this is weird. Game runs smooth on everything maxed out, only AAx2 and qualityAAx2. But damn it is 60fps! I dont like to play on my desktop because of center place at house....under TV in main room haha, but what the hell i can take it. But this is really weird, because mobile gtx570 is similar to desktop gtx470 plus 570M got 1,5GB of GDDR5 when 470 in my desktop have only 1,25GB of GDDR5+ on my laptop i have +2GB of RAM. So wtf? It looks like still cpu is most important in 2k sport games, because i7 is quad core when laptop i5 is dual core. Anyone remember situation with 2k9? I remember dual core owners fix fps by adding line or changing something in config.ini of 2k9.
Maybe there will be some solution in the future.
Still this game need early patch, many times i cant see photos of players in pre-game lineups sets, stuttering, fps drop even on high end computers. Hope we dont have to wait until march, hope we pc players will get any patch.
Thu Oct 09, 2014 2:23 am
I report my laptop performance.
Specs:
Intel Core i5-3210M
GT 630M (Nvidia)
6 GB RAM
Settings in game are around medium, with spec effects off, and I get 30-50 FPS, buuuuuut in some scenes it lags like crazy and the microstutter... I don't know, maybe I'm just used to it from my previous games. Still, not bad, but could be better. I hope NVIDIA or 2K will release any updates to improve performance.

Oh and one more. When 2k13 or 2k14 came out, almost all of us can run it on maximum, i dont know person with tech problems with 2k13/14.
But why in the hell, in the first pc next gen, 2k dont give us detailed graphical options, sry 2k crew but this is simple lazy, yes lazy. How stupid is to give overall medium set for player details which provide us to cut moving pants(+lower quality texture) + turn off hair physics. THIS IS PC, PC means customization! And this is only one example. Why in the hell u give us special effects in one set?! they should have separate reflections, crowd effects, lighthing, haze effects in separate options. I can live without haze effect but i believe many of us cant live without ANY reflection. PC people can idividualy turn them on/off, SEPARATE. 2k devs act like they born yesterday. This is advantage(or disadv) of pc. And you are doin this every year, since 2k9. Besides standard AA, anizo, reso etc there is 4 graphical options, cmon
Thu Oct 09, 2014 2:43 am
My computer actually runs the game with solid framerate at max player detail and texture, but it does this to the players.

This is one step down medium.

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3230M CPU @ 2.60GHz
6GB RAM
Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 2GB
Obviously, it's the shitty graphics card, which is the one that came with my $500 laptop from best buy
Anybody have any tips? Any config settings I should change? My graphics card is the only thing I'm working around. I'm getting the same framerates I got playing 2k14, but now things just look weird.

MadbaLL wrote:there is nothing you can do beyond that, it's up to game optimization.
last thing you can try is turinin off both triple buffering and v-sync and then try fps. after that try adaptive v-sync. if it's still the same, pc patch + new nvidia drivers is only solution. but for me 52 fps would be more than enough for sports game, it's not first person shooter.
also, one member wrote very good note in one of the threads - i don't know why, but 2k left too many different graphics related things in "special effects" option. they should have separate reflections, lighthing, haze effects, crowd effects in separate options so people can idividualy turn them on/off. putting ALL in ONE setting called "special effects" is very bad thing and very bad choice made.
that was me
http://forums.nba-live.com/viewtopic.php?f=157&t=96651&p=1754165&hilit=special+effects#p1754165This really sucks IMO. The courts look REALLY flat and unrealistic with special effects off. And with it on it is a MASSIVE fps killer.
There really needs to be a way to toggle the individual "special effects" on and off

i7-4700mq
gtx 770m
8 gb ram
I can max everything else fine at 60fps but as soon as I turn special effects on it drops to about 45-55 which makes it just low enough to be unplayable

Without the court reflections tho, this game just does not look realistic. It's a real immersion killer IMO. Would almost rather play 2k14

Would love to be able to tweak the individual special effects. Sadly, it can't be done
Thu Oct 09, 2014 2:50 am
you guys got me worried. I'm still 2 days away and have already forgotten about playing this on 1080p with my GTX 650 1GB.
If I'm lucky I'm going with 900p and high settings, if not then 720p. I think it wouldn't be bad with high settings. Anything for 60 fps!
Thu Oct 09, 2014 2:54 am
Lowering the resolution under your display's native resolution will result in worse definition - image will look blurry and probably jagged from upscaling.
Thu Oct 09, 2014 3:01 am
deluxxe, wait wait wait, so ure sayin u got 45-55 with 770M aaaand i7? this killed me, i was thinking about sell of my MSi gt780dx and buy something with 770. It looks like 970M can handle...maybe. Please guys dont tell me this is good optimalization, cmon i know its not FIFA, but this is still sport game, not some benchmark game a'la Crysis, i can understand all, fps drop in close ups but in normal camera distance? drops -20fps. Literally fuuuck!
Thu Oct 09, 2014 3:08 am
Actually, "closeups" are usually less demanding.
Thu Oct 09, 2014 3:11 am
Dommy73, so actually here is worst in close ups on all maxed out
