For a foul.
Why?
Because even though Jason Castro is our best PG he's still susceptible to bonehead plays, not as often as Japeth but still bonehead plays.
Even Alapag is not excused from the occasional bonehead plays, usually air balls from beyond the arc.

Should have pass it to Jeff Chan or Blatche. Don't know why he is not going inside like he did in FIBA Asia. Must be the Blatche effect

Was my first reaction back then.

Yes, he is. The longest tenured, I suppose.

I thought a pompus dick like shadow could only be a product of the USA. (I keed)
Oh well, at least he proves not all pinoys I've seen/read post of (refering to their national team) have vaginas.
EDIT: Until he changes his shitty name back to shadow, he has a pussy.

Wow. It's nice to learn that shadowgrin is Filipino.
shadow, you have a perfect English.
Turkey won the first game against New Zealand.
New Zealand led the game until the end of 3rd quarter.
At end of third quarter Turkey took the lead but in a few seconds New Zealand found 6 points and took back the lead, ended the 3rd quarter with 5-point difference.
The fourth quarter started with 7-0 (or smh like that) NZ run. The difference was 12.
However, Turkey had a 15-1 run at end of the game and won.
I liked the performance of Baris Hersek and Oguz Savas.
Slight improvement at free throws. Until today, Turkey's FT was horrible. We lost a few games in last years, due to mediocre free throw performances.

Ah, for a moment I thought Blatche had pinoy root. All the best to pinoys. They're the underdogs I will root for. Fuck Croatia for beating them.
SPAIN – Pau Gasol, Marc Gasol, Ricky Rubio, Serge Ibaka, Rudy Fernandez, Jose Calderon, Sergio Rodriguez, Juan Carlos Navarro, Felipe Reyes, Victor Claver, Sergio Llull, Alex Abrines
Wow. That'd even make a solid NBA team. USA vs Spain sounds like a dream match atm.

If Rose doesn't get hurt i think Spain only lose by 40.
Now IF he cant continue for some reason, I think Spain lose by 20.

What a gut punch. I'm sick to stomach at the moment after that dismal choking by Kiwis against Turkey. I guess I'll just have to still live off my 2002 WC memories.

Let's go Lithuania!
Sun Aug 31, 2014 11:22 am
Let's go Cana--. Nevermind
Sun Aug 31, 2014 11:29 am
Hehe. I still remember that game in 2010 WC when we got our asses out winning the game by 2 points.
Sun Aug 31, 2014 11:41 am
For the comments I saw about the Philippines, it still should be noted that others (or mostly) predicted that Croatia will be blowing out our team by 20-40 points. Didn't happen. It's something to be noted. Going under the radar and almost beating the No. 16 on world-ranking...

What a devastating 2nd quarter for Finnland.
When I see European team got abused like that, my mood is getting even worse because Germany didn't make it to the tournament...

it's not even fun watching us steamroll teams. it's too easy. i prefer watching closer matchups like the france/brazil game.
btw, kevin parker listed Bogdan Bogdanovic twice in the first post- once under serbia and once under croatia

He's from Croatia. Saw him last night in the CRO-PHI game.

It's the Bojan one, Bogdan is Serbian.
Damn these Yuro names
Sun Aug 31, 2014 7:37 pm
So Boja is Cro and Bog is Serb? Ok then

Yes, I know what you mean. But on the other side of the medal I believe it's a lesson for our NT. Watching the Qualifiers the last weeks was quite hard. But for next year I hope they all stick together for the European Championship with us eventually hosting the Group Stage (in Berlin, right?). So Dirk, Tibor, Niels, Heiko, Dennis form a strong team and can take part at the Olympics 2016..
But Rovio put much money on team Finland and making it possible that they can play the tournament
But watching the USA game last night helped me to remember why I love that game so much. With my Harden Jersey on, I'm going to watch all the games of team USA

(as they are the ones being broadcasted on TV).
