Talk about NBA 2K15 here.

Very odd specs. The minimum specs almost look like last-gen specs, and the recommended specs are all about your CPU. I also love how AMD doesn't exist in their specs.
To make sure it's read...
Does everybody notice that you need Windows 7 64 bit?
Leftos? This accurate?
Fri Aug 22, 2014 4:03 pm
Interesting that there is no AMD CPUs in requirements, despite the fact that on the consoles CPUs from this company. And in general, strange requirements for sport game with are not open world, even if it NG.

What's so odd about it? 32 bit editions are basically dead for current gaming - if you wanna play on decent details at decent resolution.
Besides, NBA 2K on Twitter wrote "You can now pre-order #NBA2K15 PC on @steam_games. Check out system requirements here:
http://2kgam.es/NBA2K15Steam", so those specs should be right.

Can I run it or nah?
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5600+
Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series
Memory: 8.2 GB
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64 bit
Fri Aug 22, 2014 4:34 pm
Yes, you'll need a 64-bit version of Windows to run the game.
Fri Aug 22, 2014 4:48 pm
I have a pretty old desktop
Processor: Core 2 Quad Q660 2.4 ghz
Video Card: Gtx 460
Memory: 4 GB
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64 bit
I'm planning to run it at 60fps with no AA/fxaa - 720P OR 1080p?
Can I run it?
Fri Aug 22, 2014 4:53 pm
Not on full details; at least, not at 60 fps.

Hi everyone!
I am upgrading my old VC from HD 7770.
I am just wondering if having PhysX or not will drastically affect game performance.
I am planning to buy either an R9 280X or GTX 770 (though I am more inclined to the AMD card because of $$$)
In short, is it advantageous if I opt for the nVidia card which aside from the PhysX feature, has no large advantage to the AMD card?

I got:
Intel i3-3240 3,4 ghz;
Radeon 7850 1gb;
8gb ram
windows 8 64bit.
Not really clear how well i'd be running the game. No specific cpu/gpu models for recommended specs (3rd/4th gen i3 is faster than old i7 ones) and there are many 2gb vram gpu models much slower than radeon 7850.

Intel core duo cpu e8200 @2.66ghz (2 cpus) ~2.7ghz

heh im with i5 and 1,5gb ram on graphic card on my laptop....well hope for fhd and probably i will have to turn off sweat, hopefully
maybe it will be better to run on my desktop with i7 and gtx470(there is only 1,28GB of ram) but 2k games always need more powerfull proccesor than graphic card.

But we don't need to have Windows (awfull) 8

I don't need it maxed out. I'm just hoping for the results PS4 offers for this game. What do you think?
FX-6300
GTX 650 1GB
8GB RAM

I would wait for 800 series now.
No point of waiting, since it will be too expensive anyways. If I would be going for an upgrade, I would go for R9 290X with custom cooler. I am so glad seeing those recommended settings. Finally there's a nba 2k game that cannot be played on a calculator
I will be running nba 2k15 on this set:
MOBO: ASUS MAXIMUS GENE V (bios v.0903)
CPU: i5-3570K @4,6ghz (1,18 vcore) (cooled by Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme)
RAM: Samsung (10M378B5273DH0-CK0/CH9) 4gb x 4 @2400mhz (10-11-11-28)
SSD: Samsung 850 PRO 256GB
VGA: ASUS R9 290X DirectCU II OC
PSU: Corsair AX850
Considering the stagnation of game evolution graphic wise, mainly because of consoles, I have not made any major upgrades to my pc, besides timely switch of SSD and VGA, for almost 3 years. I remember there was a point where an upgrade was a must have yearly if you wanted to keep up and play new games at high settings with decent FPS.
Thanks again to 2K Sports for saving me at least 400 EUR that I would have spent on PS4 and NBA 2K15 if you would have decided not to release next gen on PC

It'll be expensive, but the 700 Series will get cheaper I can say that for sure.

it would still be great to get more detailed requierements
what CPUs and GPUs are supported
i still try to figure out how they gonna scale it
they cant really scale the textures they will have a minimum you cant go under(lets say XB1 Level)
you can reduce the Physics of like Jerseys etc... the detail of the crowd and flashy Directx11 effects like Lighting etc
but still hard to imagine how they achieve such scalability
so while i am happy this seems to be the real requierments, i am still a tiny bit sceptic..

I need a better processor only. Thanks 2K.

No point in waiting? First of all, there are rumors of 800 series being considerably cheaper than 700 series (at launch). GTX 880 is rumored to be $500.
Second, once it will be out, shops will be trying to get rid of older models = price reduction.
jay-r wrote:If I would be going for an upgrade, I would go for R9 290X with custom cooler.
You realize that you've just "recommended" $550 card while he wanted to buy $350 card? Especially when GTX 770 does NOT trail that much behind to justify paying over 50% more.
Fri Aug 22, 2014 8:12 pm
And GTX 8xx will have DX 12, which is another reason to wait.
Fri Aug 22, 2014 8:16 pm
Dommy73, when you mentioned 800 series I was thinking 880 gtx and automatically presumed that its price will exceed the price of gtx 780 ti by 25-30%. I was not aware of the rumored price of 880 gtx

, so I might be wrong, but nonetheless its an unconfirmed rumor. Considering how nvidia initially priced GTX 780 Ti in comparison to GTX Titan everything's possible, but I still don't see nvidia pricing it lower than GTX 780 Ti.
I agree on the DX12 argument though

Well, price drop for 700 series cards is almost inevitable, which is good reason alone. GTX 880 by gigabyte is confirmed by it's rep for september, so there's enough time to get new card before NBA launch.
Info about GTX 880:
http://videocardz.com/51117/exclusive-n ... -septemberShort version: Reference model will be 4Gb with 256bit bus, is expected to be just $400 – $450, with $500 tag can be expected for models with OC.
Leaked screen shows, taht it might even be able to outperform 780Ti - probably only on mainstream resolutions, while losing to it @4K etc
Source:
http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/gigaby ... x-880.htmlThe marketing director for Gigabyte China said, that "GTX 800 series flagship product" is coming in September.
And as for the price theory: people are expecting it because it already happened for 600 series.
Sure, it's still unconfirmed, but it looks more and more promising.
Plus i'm still running on GTX 460, which keeps up so far (thanks to the fact I bought 2GB special edition), but it's kinda bottlenecking the rest of my rig.
