I usually put the players settings on high and texture details as well... but I put the crowd on low, I remove sideline characters and turn off the depth of field and floor reflections... so basically it's mixed settings..

Still do not know how much will be demanding game/engine (because PC debut), what there a priority - CPU or video card, so that the settings mix may need another. Just waiting for specs info.

IMO they "predicted" it for last-gen version. Or it was just clickbait.
Look at the site now an they have "Coming Soon…please check tomorrow" everywhere.

Anyways, i think it´s not about a HUGE requirements.....

NBA 2K14 for PC stays a good graphics, and look this requeriments:

NBA 2K14 PC:
Minimum Requirements:

CPU: Pentium 4 2.4 Ghz Single Core processor or equivalent (2.8 Ghz for Vista/Win 7/Win 8)
RAM: 512 MB or more (1 GB for Vista/Win 7/Win 8)
Disc Drive: 8x or faster DVD drive
Hard Drive: 8 GB or more free space
Video: DirectX 9.0c compatible (see below)
Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible
Input: Keyboard or dual-analog gamepad
Video card with 128 MB or more memory and one of the following chipsets is required:
Radeon HD 2400 or greater; NVIDIA 6800 GT or greater; DirectX 9.0c compatible card with Shader Model 3.0 support.

Recommended System Requirements:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo processor or equivalent
RAM: 2 GB
Disc Drive: 8x or faster DVD drive
Hard Drive: 9 GB or more free space
Video: Shader Model 3.0 support with 512MB Ram (Nvidia(R) GeForce(R) 8800 GT or better)
Sound: 100% DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card
Input: Dual-analog gamepad

Look at recommended system.... 512MB RAM for a 2014 game with a goood graphics!

512 MB of VRAM NOT RAM!
And it's severely outdated graphics, even dumbed down when compared to PS360 (AO...)

Dommy73.... yes 512VRAM it´s a LOW END VGA today....and look the minimum requirements, it´s a 512RAM too. And are you kidding about PS3 and Xbox360 are better than PC right? For the start, PS3 and XBOX are 720p.....PC it´s 1080p. The shadows are not a huge improve by consoles anyways. And all this stuffs are not about hardware, because with MOD´s on PC, graphics are HUGE better than consoles and not affect the FPS.

And 2k14 have a severely outdated graphics??? Where? Tell me one sports game in actual gen with graphics better than NBA 2K14?

It's outdated in that I don't see a huge difference in graphics from 2K9 to 2K14. In my opinion MLB: The Show 14 seems to look better than 2K14 Last-Gen. I also don't think you can use resolution to say the PC 2K14 was more advanced compared to the 360 and PS3. All resolution does is create more pixels to make things look sharper. The additional shadows (even if small) would be better. That said you can't compare a PC 2K14 with Mods with a stock console version. That would be unfair. The requirements for 2K14 is similar with the hardware on the 360 and PS3. That being said unless the PC 2K15 is graphically worse than the PS4/X1 we may need a similar PC to play at similar graphical quality as the consoles.

PC users were stuck with console ports that were held back by the Last-Gen consoles (360/PS3). With the release of the PS4 and Xbox One we're finally seeing developers/designers take a significant step in graphics in games (especially the sports games). It's only natural that people gaming on PCs will need to upgrade their outdated rig. Software/Games evolve, and the hardware evolve also. It's sad but our PC's we may have paid a lot of money for several years ago is now not even worth a 1/4th.

I just don't see how 2K15 will be able to run without any problems on old Dual-core processors. We'll see what happens. There are games that can be played in DX11 and DX9 so that could happen with 2K15. I'm hoping for a miracle too like those of you with your 5-8 year Dual-Core CPU with 2-4GB of RAM, and a DX9/10 GPU. But if the requirements come out to be high I won't have a problem investing a little money to play a NG game I've been wanting since the release of 2K14.

I was talking about dumbed down graphics, not resolution (some people here don't even use 1080p display anyway). AO is missing in PC version, we had to use workaround. Otherwise it's the same.
Lagoa wrote:And 2k14 have a severely outdated graphics??? Where?

Where? Crowd with triangular heads? Lighting, shadows, ... Those pixelated "photos" in pregame presentation, weird looking billboards...
It's almost the same last few years.
We had to improve everything - SweetFX, new courts with higher-res textures, ENB, ...
Lagoa wrote:Tell me one sports game in actual gen with graphics better than NBA 2K14?

Can you be even more specific? C'mon, why the hell should we look only at sports games? We could've stayed with NBA 2K2 graphics that way.

I wouldn't do anything if I were you, because you obviously don't know much about it. No offence meant.

You can't "format CPU", the data is stored on a hard drive.
Try to get a help from some friend who has backup HDD. Or upload your files to some filesharing service as private files.

Technically you might be able to do this upgrade, but it could (more like would) break functionality of software and drivers you currently have installed

When you're formatting, you'll find out that you don't even need most of these files ;)

If you have 4 or more GB of RAM, You really need go to 64bit. If not I would just leave it be.

It depends. Even if he does not have at least 4GBs of RAM, if 2K15 turns out to be for 64-bit OS only like some games (not as likely) then he would need to upgrade to a 64-bit Windows.

graphic at the high level to maximum ( 60 fps) :
processors amd fx6300, fx8350, any intel i5 sandy brigde and up, any intel i7, 8gb ram, graphics card at least 6000 points 3dmark11 (GTX570, GTX660, GTX750TI, AMD HD7850 - maybe- , AMD HD7870, R7 260X and up)

yay its tuesday, maybe we get something today

at least i hope so... would only be fair to our posters who need to upgrade substantially to know a bit in advance what they need

not speaking for myself.. i just need a bit more ram, thats quick and relativly cheap to get so..

ok, I'm gonna share my guess

Minimum
OS: Windows 7 (x64) or newer, 32bit OS not supported (nor should be)
CPU: quad core intel @ 2.6GHz or quad core AMD @ 3GHz
RAM: 6 GB
Graphic Card: nVidia GTX 460 1GB or AMD equivalent

Recommended
CPU: i7 @ 3.5GHz or AMD FX-6300 (6350 maybe)
RAM: 8GB
Graphic Card: nVidia GTX 760 or AMD R9 270X

Having played the game nba 2k14 on ps4. Graphics are very comparable and only a slight improvement from nba 2k11 version.. the court textures quality remains the same as the old gen.. i dont think the game will demand too much.. and by experience from the nba 2k series.. cpu will be much more important. My guess is dual core for the minimum and i3 or something for the recommended. Most probably 2gb ram minimum and 4gb recommended.. as far as graphic card. It maybe important this time around.
