sad but true.

http://www.gamespot.com/articles/fifa-15-for-pc-uses-xbox-one-ps4-engine/1100-6420167/I must inform that there is one unbelievable news that has been announced today. FIFA 15 PC will have Ignite Engine, the same engine used for the PS4/Xbox One Consoles!
So now we know that system requirements wouldn't be an excuse for not getting an NBA 2K15 next-gen PC version. As FIFA 15 PC will use Quad Core Q6600 as a minimum CPU requirement, 4 GB RAM and DX11 graphics card will be compulsory, of-course. No XP support.
So with that being said PC fans should have enough audience to run the game. In fact I would be even more enthusiastic to upgrade my PC, even if it was not able to run the game! I probably would do that anyway for FIFA. So NBA would automatically run without me having to worry about the system specs.
So now I'm sure 2K and Leftos are aware of the FIFA 15 PC news, it's their choice now to give us a new engine for NBA 2K15!

Its been that way for a long time.
Too many people too lazy to research how to build a computer. More powerful than consoles, usually for a similar price if they research correctly and are patient with buying parts.
Hopefully Steam PC's are going to change that, if convenience was a problem before, it won't be a problem soon.

Look at the difference in the preoder pack poster. Nuff said.

This news has long been discussed here

and?

I think it wont, chances are next gen graphics and features wont be available for PC even in NBA 2K16.

Anyway if 2K really decides to release 2K15 for PC on par with X1/PS4 I just hope Leftos (or anyone else) might persuade them to actually release some modding tools.
Again I see it as possible win-win.
Community would get Day 1 modding tools (or slightly delayed, doesn't really matter). In best case those tools would be OS.
Adds attractivity for PC version.
2K would reserve the right to take any mod and include it (or anything inspired by it) in any update or next installment.
Huge supply of ideas.
Adds attractivity for every version in long term.

They already reserve the right to take any mod that doesn't require licenses they don't already own and push it through an official update or future game if they wish to. Matter of fact, they could probably legally get a piece of the pie if somebody was charging or receiving donations for mods.

what?

The difference is that the PC platform hasn't been specifically excluded when talking about pre-order bonuses, as it was last year. May not mean anything, but worth noting.

Yes, that's what it is. None of the asterisk crap we used to see which specifically points out consoles. A good sign but we still have to wait til E3 for some information [if we are lucky enough]

GTA V coming to PC, XBOX 1 and PS4... thats all about the next gen.
Tue Jun 10, 2014 4:01 pm
Nice news! But offtopic hahahaha. so happy for that too. But will be even happier if 2K15 for PC is on par with XBONE/PS4

Yes, it guards. PC - 29.95 Eur vs. Xbox360/PS3 - 49.95/ and X1/PS4 -69.95, decent price difference
Tue Jun 10, 2014 10:58 pm
Well, that's a bummer. But still, the expectation was fun until it lasted

That's $94 US Dollars for the X1/PS4. Good lord.

Retailers are known to guess prices before they get them from distributors.

If NBA Live ported their game to the PC 2K would easily be demolished. Especially with next gen visuals and better modding tools.
I hope they do. This lack of competition for 2K is pathetic.
2K can pretty much release the PS2 version for the PC and then price gouge to $60 retail.

Yes. That is exactly why they keep laying PC off. Because there is no competition.
Just wait 2K. After I graduate college Im'ma take you down with my first-person basketball game. lol

No offense against you as a person but....
Because
- since 2K9, 2K"s 1995 awful netcode is still the same ; players want to play online today (even if i still appreciate a face to face game - yes, i'm an old player) ; but it helps to sell games on PC
- since 2k10, NBA 2K series is on steam. But no real integration, no success ; but it helps to sell games on PC
- we, as PC players, are still waiting for official patches on 2K12,2K13, 2K14
So It's a good new that 2K keep watching, but hope this time 2K will listen and learn too.
Wed Jun 11, 2014 5:23 am
so it took about a year for someone from NLSC to hit Leftos with the "No offense...but...."
fuck, I gotta figure out who won the team member pool on that one.
Wed Jun 11, 2014 5:33 am
2K's E3 booth is up now. Wonder if we'd get some info there.

It's no hypocrisy.
I read here that Leftos has join 2K last year during 2K14 development.
As a PC player, i don't charge Leftos, but 2K.
It's good to see developers here, but it's a forum, so I imagine we can argue with them as long as i'm polite.
And I don't thing i've put bad arguments on the table...
