Wow, but how laggy will this get if everything was 2x the resolution? And with SSAO.

The version that 2k dumped on us is designed to run on 9 year old hardware that was already outdated when it was new, I don't think higher resolution textures are going to be a problem.
And as for the textures, I have no problem running this on a 1gb 7850

After i played that game i opened up the textures believe it or not the textures looked like NBA Live 08 textures, i was surprised!!

no idea, Vlad said he would post an announcement when the tool was close enough to release. Even though I was able to do all these things, the tool was far faaaaaaaaaaar from being able to be released.

Tue Apr 01, 2014 12:38 pm

Had a late night idea that had me come back to the computer and test, and I am very happy I did. Using this tool, I can export the MLB 2K12 city vistas (skyline? background?) and import them into an NBA 2K14 file, either with an existing stadium or replacing.

The stadium itself can be imported too, but with more obvious visual issues

Here is the best part though, these models are 100% compatible with the 2Kx Mod Tool, no missing parts, no screwy models, it just works.

So yes, this is a very "Street" thing, but I can take those buildings and move them wherever I please. And then I can HD those building textures. No need to take stadium exit signs or advertisements and super HD them for buildings, no need to limit myself to maybe 5 different textures....nevermind that these are real city maps. I am just in awe right now that this actually works. I am sure I will have more to show in the future in my street threads, but this took care of the first major roadblock in making these outdoor gyms for me. I am simply, in awe.

Dude insane!!!
Thu Apr 03, 2014 8:26 pm
dammit, 1 day earlier and this would have been an amazing April Fools prank
but yes, this is friggin awesome. Right now it all defaults to being nighttime out, so I need to see if I can revert that, but this is great

j have u tried to use any of roof stadiums ? kinda like the blue jays ? I don't have my beta yet... great finds
Fri Apr 04, 2014 8:08 am
not yet, but I'm sure it would probably be like the last image that actually has Fenway in it, but all blacked out. I'll try it though for sure
oh, and the bad news side of this is I cannot figure out how to remove the "night" texture overlays. Like, the textures are normal, but there is another texture that goes over it or something, and it shades it to be nighttime. Still, this will be insanely helpful, but maybe not to the point that I initially thought.
Fri Apr 04, 2014 10:49 am
Jon, if you need me to create any textures to overwrite any pieces of those environments, just say the words.

this is truly amazing.
Fri Apr 04, 2014 11:56 am
Jao, why not go over to the MLB forums and ask the person who made the HD backgrounds? I'm sure he'd be able to get one without the overlay.
