KicksFix 2K14: Nike Hyper Rev

Oh, yeah, didn't know that. Haven't played this for a while because it's outdated, but here's the fix.

Fix: For PC users who are experiencing crash upon game load, make sure that you delete the "shoedata.DAT" in your shoes folder. Apparently, old user-edited shoes are not compatible with the latest Online Data files.

Thank you very much for the reply, Maverick. I actually knew that would work but if I do that, none of the shoes show up on any of the player. All of them have some generic shoe. How do I get the shoes assigned to the players?

The only workaround that I could think of is Vlad's method. It'll also save you the 50 limit created shoes. Watch this!

homi has 562 shoe files. To find easier which ones to edit, sort the files by size in your Windows File Explorer. Delete all the files that is lower than 100KB because you don't need them including the shoedata.DAT file. Then rename all the remaining 281 files with the free app named Advanced Renamer (google it) it'll let you rename all the files at the same time. Hope this helps and I hope there's a better/easier workaround for these awesome shoes to work again.

All of the ones for this roster file. The new ones that have been created I am assuming you would need to download and add to the game yourself.

As for how to copy these shoes, copy them to your main NBA 2k14 directory, not the shoes folder.

I can't see in the My Shoes list that Homicide custom shoes you uploaded. I've downloaded and pasted them in NBA 2K14 folder, so I think it should work. Any fix? :S

They don't show up in the shoes section. They will just already be assigned to the players.

He really did an excellent job with them. They aren't perfect, but it is definitely a huge improvement over the 2k default shoes and colors. I can't recommend this enough. I am currently working on my own roster that if my OCD ever allows me to finish, I will post here on the forums. I am using his shoes but will be adding some of my own as well as some of the top downloads. Maybe within the next month or so, I will finally be finished and will make an official post.

I created a ratings calculator over on OS. Same username as on here. The results I am getting in sims are phenomenal. These shoes, some accessories, filling out the classic rosters, and adding some teams from the Ultimate Roster Project are the finishing touches.

Zup guys, really sorry for the long hiatus. Was too hooked up on playing Dota 2 again and have not touched NBA 2K14 till now. I've finished updating the roster to reflect league transactions as of March 16. Will proceed to updating jersey numbers, accessories and shoes for the traded, signed players.

Sorry man, I really have no time to make a tutorial on shoe making. Basically all you have to do is open the .iff file on mod tool and extract the texture so you can edit it in photoshop. Then export back the edited texture back on the .iff file.

Oh crap. I've just updated my online data folder and voila. Crash to desktop! I tried installing the updates manually and also updating it in-game but it still crashes.

Removing the shoedata.dat stopped the crashing but as we all know the edited shoes won't show up in the shoe menu. But the good thing is that the shoes assigned to players still show up.

Glad that worked for you. It didn't for me. So I had to rename the files like what Vlad did in the video. BTW, so excited for your updates and more missing shoes!

Homi, I have 2 things to ask you...First, can you add the missing shoes that Mr Star created?? and second..could you take a look in bulls shoes colors...i´m pretty sure they use black shoes for away games, especially whith the alternate jersey...and with home jersey it´s red and white, except for boozer who wear white shoes...

ow...and dunleavy were using kobe 9, but he´s using kobe 8 actually...thx in advice...

Sup bro, that's exactly what I'm trying to do, but when I export the dds textures those look reaaaally tiny (128x128), I can't barely see anything, so it's impossible to have the originals as a template for editing above them (specially when I change the resolution to 512 or 1024). Do you have any trick or am I doing something wrong?
