Currently I'm working on fictional draft class. About Rooks, I plan to update my 2014 Draft Class probably within a month(after more games of NCAA season played to make it more accurate)

Yo Bamz , any news on the 14 Draft Class update??? Ive had to add Tyler Ennis, Lavine and Vonleh. They seem so wierd w/o the amazing CFs you create .

2014 Draft Class update will be dropping by the end of February. Update features new cyberfaces, updated looks of some top prospects and accurate ratings,tendencies, signature moves, draft order made by Aderito.

The mock Drafts are killing me this year all of them are way different, when i look to Nbadraft.net , DraftExpress, Jeff Goodman Mock Draft (Espn) and Chad Ford Mock Draft (Espn) i see to many different results for exemple in the Nbadraft.net Zach Lavine is a Lottery Pick but in the draftexpress he is a secound Rounder... Zach Lavine is more a SG than a PG so i will list him as a SG, the Same with James Young that is more SF than SG.

So now i have to make updates in all 1st round and iam not seing Zach Lavine declaring to the draft this year but i will include him...

watchout mock draft never give level of play but only trends : some little thoughts

*nbadraft.net seem to undervalue international prospect every year (whereas draftexpress overvalue them...) but we could assume a player like capela should climb up the board (end of the lottery) after the nike hoop summit and the draft combine (physicaly impressive prospect). And french teams have usually "small" buyout compensation.

*Jusuf nurkic could be a pleasant surprise too : very effective right now and huge (and no buyout issue at all). He could benefit from pekovic 2nd round development.

*Lavine is a project more than a propsect (bball IQ ) and shouldn't be a lottery at the end (more as a monta ellis or louis williams 2nd round pick...) but could be really successful (the potential note should be high).

*gordon and harrell could benefit from faried's first good years (even if recenty he wasn't as good).

*saric could fall as mirotic did at the end of first (nba style ...?)

*ennis and vonleh should be top ten picks (pg are masters in the game nowadays and there is a trend for lonnnnnnnng skilled forwards as vonleh with 3d potential)

*there is also more and more pg from small program taken in the top 20 (curry, lillard, mccollum...) : keep an eye on oliver hanlan or efrid payton who have that scoring potential.

... and don't sleep on chris walker or james mcadoo (2nd round for nbadraft) who should find love at the end of the first (tar heels prospects are sometimes better in the nba than in the roy williams game plan and athletic freaks as walker are too attractive to be forgotten).

anyway this draft should be interesting but are you going to include embiid in 2014 draft or in 2015 ?

Embiid is on the 2014 draft i don't think he is dumb enough to not take that guaranteed money....

Yeah, that's the problem with me too. I am playing with current Bamz draft class and Gary Harris, Wayne Selden, James Young, they are all drafted in the top 10, often in top 5 too.

Also, I can not understand why are some teams avoiding players who are neccessary for them or just pick much worse players. For an example, Lakers and Celtics are on to pick, Wiggins/Embiid are still available and they pick Glenn Robinson or Chris Walker etc... And recently, I played with many different team to check this, Embiid has never been picked in the top 10, maybe even in the top 15. Teams are choosing Cauley-Stein or Austin instead of him.

Maybe i'm completely wrong, but… couldn't it be difficult related?
I mean, is the cpu making the same choices at All Stars and Hall of Fame? Or, at lower difficulties, the cpu "help" the player by drafting the "far from best" players?

Because in 2k, teams never select the BPA (best Player Available) but only the player they think they need (cause they have free agents and holes in their rosters)... so you have very "funny" picks (and 2nd round players falling in the lottery) because the top sg is drafted too early and then every team jump on the others. I think when you make a trade early in the draft (even a 2nd round against bullsh*t) everything after seems to be more realistic... Does anybody else noticed that ?
Also I think (but I'm not sure, just based on multiple observations) some teams draft better in the game (San Antonio, Boston, Chicago) than others (maybe the quality of their scouting staff ?) and some positions are "boycotted" (often pf or sf).

the top 15 right now is way different from what he will be in 128 days after the lottery, the hoop summit, the march madness, the combine, the interviews and every trainings in front of NBA scouts and GM. So it's not so serious if cauley stein or lavine falls at the end of first or break the top 10 cause they really could, or if a player like christon or harrell break the lottery. What is really important is to have embiid really high with parker and then players like wiggins exum smart ... but even them could fall (the smart "issue", disappointment with wiggins, mystery around exum...).
In fact at this age, players don't have a big difference in their level of play (except athletic/physical differences). Their note shouldn't be too different...

i know how this bug work... Usually It gives advantage to Centers and Shooting guards. SF's are normal but PF and the PG are killing the logic but I know how solve that because this bug work like that since last year...

I said that last year about the CPU draft logic but I showed the way to doge that bug just search @derito NBA 2K13 draft class

Parker, Embiid, Wiggins are always picked in the top 4... Don't worry about the ratings I will remake them later, I edited Wiggins when he was playing like a star.

AWESOME. Looking forward to the updates. I had to restart my Cavs Asso. b/c of trades and whatnot so I'm waiting for a new '14 draft class. Aderito is doing rating right???

a few days ago i asked aderito about the progress and he responded that he is editing the 2nd round, so hopefully it will be finished soon
