Guys, if you make your video settings low, you may have problem with colors.

Last year I had the same problem with NBA TV. Solved it with making video settings high, but this time, the game lagged.

Its nice that the scoreboard doesn't affect the team replay wipe.. Can you do that also in the ESPN scoreboard?

Hi guys, this is one of the rare times that I'm posting something here. But I regularly check this forum especially this thread.
And to exrxixxx. I really really admire your work. I hope you will never be tired working on these fantastic mods.

As a fact, I have downloaded every single scoreboard mod that you made here.
And truth be told, I am editing them so I can make it "personalized" based on my ideas.

I hope you won't be mad at me because of that. Actually, I have no plans of releasing my adaptations of your work (I know that is forbidden specially without your permission). I just keep it for myself because as I have said, I just try to "personalize" your mods based on my ideas too.

I am just having a little trouble with one of the scoreboards of you that I edited. And I really have no idea on how to fix this.

Image

As you can see, the fonts of the score is garbled with that black thing stroked around it. I know it shouldn't be that way. But I don't know how to fix it.
I have very little knowledge in modding, honestly. I just know how to edit things like dds files but more technical things like that font being distorted, I don't know how to fix. I hope you could give me some pointers.

And oh, I did not edit anything on that part of the scoreboard where the scores are shown, I kept it intact.

And one more thing. I have erased that Poss section at the lower right corner, but that Team Abbreviation is still there. I hope you also give me pointers on how to edit that part.

Again thanks for your admirable work. Hope to see your reply.

P.S. I hope I am posting my query in the right section. Bear with me guys.

m3ck3y,
hey hey,
there are 2 layers of fonts.

I will not go deep explaining this, but it should be something like that:
- for v16:10 I made the first layer active (this is not my caprice, it must be like that to fit for the most PCs
- for v16:9 I made second layer active.
And it is impossible to force both layers to work correctly in tghe same file.

Looking to your picture I can estimate that your are using v16:9, but your game resolution is not set enough high for the game to auto switch to second lauer, therefore instead of correct 2nd layer you see faulty first layer.

Possible fixes for you:
- if possible, increase game resolution more (in game video settings). This means mre pixels will be needed to display scoreboard, and fonts will auto switch to correct 2nd layer
or
- you may still use v16:9, but replace english.iff with that one that is included to v16:10. V16:10 file uses first font layer, and probably combination of v16:9 newscorebug.iff and v16:10 english.iff will do the job.
(reload the game or swtich to french language than back to english - this will activate new font file you place to main NBA2k14 directory)

Let me know how it works.

***
To remove possesion arrow's team id:
- open newscorebug.iff with any free hex editor (google search, download, install)
- go to offset (address) 776ac
- there you will find written ed a7 5b d3
- substitute this ed a7 5b d3 with 00 00 00 00 .
- save and exit.

Hey bro are you able to try that request I had? If not that's cool. I can whip up something from a base from one of your other scoreboards. Thanks bro.

Thanks for the Pointers mate. Well, I can't really adjust my game resolution even further more, I do not have a very powerful unit to run on very good settings. That is why I just edited the 16:10 version and the score is really fine. I also did that hex thing, and it works like a charm.

Just a little wrinkle though. In 16:10, the scoreboard seemed a little dislodged to the right. I have backread this thread and I have seen some same cases with the 16:10 scoreboard, and I did try some solutions that was said earlier but that did not fix the issue.

Image

But as far as I am concerned, that scoreboard being a little dislodged to the right is not bothering me too much. I would just be glad if I could fix it.

And one thing more, as you can see the flyout stats above the scoreboard, it can't show the the graphics I made. I tried replacing the graphics on both sides of that part of your scoreboard. What do you think I am doing wrong there?

Again thanks for the pointers mate. You're the best.

There is no any bug in ESPN regarding score fonts
You System configuration is set wrong or is too weak to display fonts correctly.
Read this thread for possible workarounds

All same files names that are in TNT scoreboards.
Logic is very simple.

I think there is a good backup package inncluded to Euroleague scoreboard.

Also could you tell me what "effect" in your scoreboards files english.iff and gamedata.iff have ? The thing is im using ps3 controller and i had ps3 icons installed (those 2 files basically) and when i installed your scoreboard icons got messed up (xbox icons on offense , ps3 on defense) , i installed backups of those 2 files and everything seems to be working fine now but i wonder what glitches and bugs might occur with different english.iff and gamedata.iff than your scoreboard uses ?

Re: SCOREBOARDS - CBS v2.2

Sun Feb 09, 2014 4:42 am

ya, gamedata.iff has controller icons.
But did I include gamedata.iff to any scoreboard's release?

Englihs.iff subs few fonts only that are necessary to represent "true" look of scoreboard.

Re: SCOREBOARDS - CBS v2.2

Yes you did include gamedata.iff to your scoreboard but it overwrites my ps3 controller icons with xbox so yeah .

This is is not new but pretty old.
It's from CSN family.
This layout is used for Blazers games only
And I think it's size almost like espn's
