I agree. Cavs' right (and fine?) wood color seems to be difficult to catch, and i'm pretty sure it's not only stoeck's court related because i had some problems in the past with other mods.

I've tried our courts man and overall look really good.

IMO there're 2 things that may improved them a lot:

1. Lower reflections a little bit (some courts like Toronto, Indy or Dallas look like hockey fields)
2. Improve the texture of the parquet so that it can ve visible while playing (without zooming in). Maybe it's something personal, but I think it looks superb when you get that feeling. Sixers85 is a master doing that:

The court you're talking about are from the previous release. yes the reflection are bad on those but will be imporved on the new version.
For miami court it was a post dealing with bump map it won"t be the final color, i agree it looks way to yellowish but sixers is way way to white. Miami has a sunburned floor and i won't make it like him so clear.
I like when you can differenciate the courts, each has a little specificity outside just the paint and line colors and i try to get the closest to that.

For the parquet zooming... i feel like you shouldn't see so much details from that far when you see retransmission as far as i see on youtube it look really uniform from the camera view and detailed when closer to floor.... but i'm open to dicuss those points np i just share my point of view

what enb are you using for the second picture?

Just my personal opinion but i think V5's are way too dull, closer to V2 than V3 in terms of reflections and brightness. I think the criticism a couple of guys did on v3 got into your head

stielar, where you see dull ? on lakers you find it dull ? and yeah i fixed reflection to 4 time the normal value because i find it so unrealistic when you can non stop read those spot text like a mirror. it is a basketball court not a hockey arena :p

I'm not going to argue too much about it because after all, it's just a game plus it's your own mods. Just my opinion as I said earlier: Yes V5 is dull.






Basketball courts are bright and light because they are supposed to be bright and light, it's a TV product, and it has to shine and it's also for the people sitting in the stands who sit far away from the court and have to see everything going on over there. There is loads of light dropping on those parquet floors. It's not a hockey arena as you said, but it's not a motorbikers' rock bar either. Again, only expressing my opinion, it's no problem for me, I can stick to V3 and I'm grateful for all the work you've done already.

And yes i guess i watched too much youtube and tv replay that enhances the colors, i'll make a second version more "dull" i think you inverted the terms... this is dull other is sharpen i guess but yes i wanna get more close to photorealistic than youtubed and tv court !!!!!

i'll make two version in the archives changing just colors ain't a great job so np !!!

I'm actually referring to the comment of utp1985. I don't think the colors are "way off". Also just my opinion.

Do you use SweetFX or ENB when you view it in-game for testing?

i only use one enb no sweetfx...sweetfx is just blur .....it adds too much black and kill lights in my opinion.
I mean i do this court for me and then i share it.. if you find colors are bad and way off just don't use it i don"t force anyone to use it !!!

constructive arguments are still welcome of course and as you can see by yourself when searching a bit on the web, each photo, video has a different color ! you need to match realistic with the taste ! some like sharpen some like dull, some wanna have court like youtube replays for tv plays, some want court like spectator in the arena would see it, some want court like player would see it....

i do like i feel confortable with, this is my opinion and i prefer realistic arena like public or player would see it than youtubed and broadcasted... if you don't there are plenty other court makers that will maybe more match your taste.

this is not a 'shut the fuck up, take it or leave it' but just as i said to stielar, if you like but you think it could be better feel free to argue it and i'll be glad to discuss the enhancement points i could provide.

I asked about the SweetFX or ENB because I thought I could help. I was thinking maybe that's the reason why the colors are a bit off. But as I said earlier, it looks fine to me.

I think it's very good.
I 'm also pleased by reflections strenght, they don't cover the court making it almost unplayable. The only fix that i 'd like to see is just a little more blur on them. They still appear too much "solid" and defined imho.
But again i really like it.

Everybodys entitled to there own opinion but c'mon man to dull, seriously, where you see dull at, but you know what they say you cant please everybody but as you said thats your opinion and i can respect that.
