Hey, JJ Redick is coming back pretty soonAndrew wrote:Clippers/Mavericks was a pretty good one yesterday, though it brought about yet another injury to a big name as Chris Paul separated his shoulder on a hard fall. Some impressive three point marksmanship in the first half; it was one of those games were both teams were defending reasonably well, but a few players seemed to be knocking everything down. Good down-to-the-wire victory for the Clippers, though it's likely going to be a tough 3-5 weeks without CP3.

Oladipo is a stud. Cleveland done goofed big time. Oladipo would have been a perfect backcourt mate for Kyrie. Strong defense and offense with a lot of potential to improve.

I think he's ok. On the other hand, when Cleveland picked Waiters, Lillard was still available...
But I agree, where they really messed up (at least until now) is when they picked one of the biggest busts at No. 1 last year.
Yeah, I was positive they would take Barnes or Drummond. Lillard wouldn't have made sense with Kyrie there already, but Waiters was barely a projected lottery pick. Waiters, Thompson, and Bennett were all major reaches. Only the Thompson gamble paid off, but I still think they drafted the wrong Thompson in 2011.The X wrote:SteveHTOWN wrote:Yao_Ming wrote:Dion Waiters is still somewhat justifiable pick...right?

Waiters was never justifiable. He was considered a mid-1st round pick before draft which was all he has proven to be worth. Cavs had to take best player available who could score & fill a position of need, meaning Harrison Barnes. It was a gimme pick that they blew.
Number one pick should've obviously been Oladipo but because they reached on Waiters they didn't want to admit it by drafting in same position. Stupid. If that's their attitude then just draft Noel & wait a year. Idiots!

Oh, and Bennett is inexplicably awful. I always thought he'd bust, but never this bad! He makes Austin Rivers look like Steph Curry.
