You missed the point. Averages are not all that.
A player can go for 50 pts in a game then 10 pts in the next one and still average 30 pts or shoot 20/25 in a game then 10/25 in the next and still have 0.600 FG (30/50)

Chauncey may have not averaged 30 pts, his points during that streak was 18-30, but he did a REAL 60-60-90 every game for five straight games unlike Durant who shot below 0.500 FG, 0.900 FT, and had 0.500 3s in some of the games in his streak.

Nice vid. The Blazers are one of the teams that I'm rooting for this season. I especially love Lillard kid. His improvement from his rookie year is just out of this world. He's already better than Wall or Kyrie's ever been. Remember this thread? (yep, I picked Lillard then )

No discussion now, Lillard's on another level. If he keeps on improving to his 3rd and 4th season, you might be looking at a true franchise caliber point guard.

This brings up the question... what areas of his game do you guys think he can improve for next couple years? Players usually peak in their 4th or 5th season then maintain prime for next 7-8 years.

When Lillard starts making better decisions while taking it to the paint (His FG% too low at the rim) then he will be scary. Right now he can get to the rim a lot but usually forces up tough layups that keep rolling out. Once he gets that smoothed out he will be on that next level offensively.

I watched Rockets vs Spurs, wow. It was a good one. I was expecting a late game surge from the Spurs but Harden caught fire. Terrence Jones also looked splendid.

The NBA admits Griffin's double-tech ejection was wrong.

Rod Thorn, the NBA's president of basketball operations, said: ''After a league review of the Clippers-Warriors game, we have come to the conclusion that Blake Griffin should not have been ejected from the game.

A common foul should have been called on Griffin for initially attempting to dislodge the Warriors' Andrew Bogut and a technical foul should have been assessed to Bogut for grabbing Griffin by the shirt and wrestling with him.''

As always, it's good to see them admit to a mistake, but since referee penalties aren't publicised, it comes off as a somewhat hollow gesture.

Griffin does get away with his fair share of what probably should be offensive fouls on some of his "poster" dunks, but yeah, that was a good example of the inconsistency in NBA officiating.
