There's just few teams that would go after Lu for a one year rental.
No one will give you a lottery pick for him, forget it....but Bulls have shown they are a Lu trade + Kirk and Jimmy injury from being a lottery team.


The only teams that might want him are title contenders, or teams that know can lure him to stay and resign with them.

Lakers come in the top of my head, when Kobe was talking about moving to Chicago, one of the reason was he wanted to play with Lu...maybe made the move and then Kobe can convince him to resign with them?...that's of course, unless the Lakers seriosuly think they'll have a shot at Lebron.
But what can the lakers give in return? Gasol? young players?

The only title contender that could upgrade his SF is the Rockets. You could work a 3 teams deal if your objective is to suck and go into the lottery.
They have a great SF in Parson, he's cheap...but he's a mediocre defender, he won't stop KD or Lebron for you.
So maybe a trade like this one:
Rockets gets Luol.
Thunder gets Asik + some other player (Rockets have like 4 PFs).
Bulls gets Perkins.

Rockets would get rid of Asik, and get a player that can play the 3 or the 4 if you want to go small and stretch the floor for Howard and Harden.
They would be also adding a top defender.
Thunder would get rid of Perkins and add Asik, that's an upgrade on their C, while it lets Adams continue maturing as a player for this year.
Bull would get Perkins, who'd help them suck and fall down, then next year you have a backup big if Nazr retires.

I think we all made the “good action” of the year by watching this whole game (it counts towards next year if you already did the one for this year).
I need a word, ugly, gross, horrible, crappy, nasty, disgusting, lousy....just don't cut it...I need a worst Word.

Yes yes, I know Thibs motto of “next man up”...but when there are no more men what do you do? put chairs on the floor?

- Both teams were trying to break the record of travelling called in a game.
- Almost at the end of the 1sh half Bulls lead 54-49....wait.... was it the end of 1st half or the end of the 3rd? Scoreboard says something that is not right with the game time.
- After the game Kirk tryed to toss a rock to the floor…he still failed.
- Highlights of the 1st half will be the peddlers selling beer and food, they even had a special offer "buy a beer and peanuts and get a chance to play tonight"
- Highlight from 2nd half Luvabulls girls....i'm gonna pick the girls also as player of the game.
- Bet time....how many more games before Thibs is completely bald?

Last night first time i'm actually using NBA.tv feature to watch 2 games at once lol.
This game had a FIBA scoreboard....but they play 8mins less and without as many sissy rules to up the scoring.

So today, back to back...we'll just grab some random guys playing Street ball in nyc? As always I can play for a beer and some Pizza.

Blah... blah... blah... it's an understatement that they will not win a lot of games this year so why moan about it? These games should be viewed as evaluations for next year so save your enthusiasm till then...

I like those iso plays that Thibs set for Snell in the earlier quarters although he traveled a couple of times, it showed his trust to the kid and probably seen some potentials on him... also Taj's continuing improvement on his post moves is a feel-good consolation on these dark days...

Noah in the lineup, both teams off to a sluggish start.

Of all the classic games between the Bulls and Knicks...that definitely wasn't one of them.

Gotta give them some credit of course. When the Knicks got sloppy/complacent, they made a pretty good run and almost pulled off an unlikely win in an ugly game. You can't say that the team doesn't have heart, but when there's no one out there that can create their own shot, that's not going to be enough. Rough one to watch, though they did make it a little interesting down the stretch.

It's easy to assume the Bull's playoffs chance because of the eastern conference situation... I'm hesitant of assuming that the management will do something near/at the trade deadline to shake up the roster (ala 2009) because of the said situation that's why instead of expecting some surprise this year I'll rather anticipate the next season (Rose, Mirotic, Boozer, Deng resigned/replaced,new training staff/assistant coaches?) and let this year be put on the lab...

I never saw the Knicks game but from what I've seen on the boxscores, Dunleavy had a field day...

So i'd have to copy-paste the same I posted after the Bucks game....still it was a good effort climbing back from that 23 point abbys...I guess it also shows how bad the Knicks currently are...barely beating a team with 3 starters out, Noah that shoudn't have played (you could tell he wasn't ready) and Kirk who I'm pretty sure is also injured...it's extremely odd for him to play this bad so long.

This coming schedule of 5 games in 7 nights will be brutal, unless everyone magically heals

In this year's Eastern Conference, a tanking team is still likely to make the Playoffs.

I say compete. I'd rather that be the team's philosophy and culture; in one of our recent podcasts, JaoSming brought up an amusing remark that Tommy Heinsohn made about the Celtics, basically saying that if a team does tank for a lottery pick, that lottery selection is joining a team of losers. Since there are players on this Bulls team that are likely going to be around beyond this year, I'd rather they not be OK with throwing away a season like that, but instead competing to the best of their ability, through all the adversity.

They don't need to tank and I believe that they will not although it's enticing since the coming draft got a lot of good prospects in it, they should just take it easy... seeing them playing their hearts out is fun indeed but what if one of them (specifically Deng) got injured again? I'm not as optimistic because their scoring options are very limited compared to last year (the last few games are testament to that)... I expect that the management will not do anything since there's a high probability that they'll be in the playoffs but if they can pull out something like that in 2009, it'll be fine with me...

As I understand it, road games in Milwaukee always draw a lot of Bulls fans, since it's not that far to travel to from Chicago.

As for Rose, that's certainly worrisome if true, but you've got unnamed sources and no doubt some assumptions being made. I'd take it with a grain of salt.

it's a lost season and everyone knows it. piling up wins in a meaningless season only lessens their chances of getting a good draft pick. chances are the team will be better with that lottery pick... isn't that the goal??

i've seen this movie play out already last year but this year's roster is worse.

i'm sure the players will play their hearts out and Thibbs wouldn't give up. but they know this is not their year. i'm guessing management won't be losing sleep if the bulls end up in the lottery.

I'm guessing you're talking about making some major moves and not intentionally losing games, since the latter isn't on the level and would likely see them be stripped of the pick. In that case, who goes and who stays?
