Could you please update guide with that new info?
I really appreciate your work and your willingness to share info, unlike certain “real insider”, “the magician” who never reveals his secrets.
Having said that, I would like to share info about hot zones.
On basketball-reference.com you can find heat map for every player. I’m using specific method for assigning hot zones based on players points per game (it took me long time to figure this out for SS or HoF this year):
1) More then 20 PPG
red and yellow spots – hot
green spots – medium
blue and white spots – cold
2) Less the 20, more then 10 PPG
red spots – hot
yellow spots – medium
green, blue and white spots – cold
3) Less the 10, more then 8 PPG
red and yellow spots – medium
green, blue and white spots – cold
4) Less then 8 PPG
red spots – medium
yellow, green, blue and white spots – cold
I’ve changed this for Thunder players, removed broken plays, changed only shooting and drive tendencies and coach profile. Then I watched game against default Pacers (HoF, default sliders) – IT WAS AMAZING! The weird thing is that Pacers played completely different then before. I don’t know what happened with Pacers playbook. It’s like CPU tried to adapt to modified Thunder and result was spectacular.
I’m now starting to believe that combination of bad hot zones, bad basic tendencies and bad coach profiles is the main reason for broken plays. Default roster is just that ridiculous.
BTW, Thunder won. Westbrook 31 pts; Lamb 16 pts; Ibaka 14 pts, 12 rebs, 3 blcks; Jackson 18 pts; Durant 16pts, 11 rebs, 10 as (I guess Pacers “shut him down”).
