They need to pick up a few wins to make their players look good for trading. Once the trade deadline is over expect 10 game losing streaks.

But it's the Heat. Don't you want them to beat the Heat at all cost? You don't sound like a true Celtic. :shake:

I don't know how to feel about Heat's loss tonight. It's almost disgusting that I'm not feeling down, maybe there's some Celtics in me.

I think there's always a certain amount of grudging admiration for a gamewinning shot, despite the fact it's at the expense of your favourite team.

That free throw decision was probably the worst ever.

But good for sauru. He finally jinxed it. Damn!

I guess he wanted players to scramble for the ball so clock can run out. Neat(or bad) idea with poor execution.

The Heat are a slow starter and old habit is back. They play from down and play catch up games. But nothing to be worried about yet. It's just that teams still haven't found their identities yet. Once bad teams realize they are bad, and good ones that they can beat up on bad teams, wins and losses will snowball as they should in right direction. Don't forget Heat's amazing winning streak last season. One good stretch changes all the perception just like what the Pacers are doing right now. I am thinking their close loss in the playoffs against Heat is playing as extra fuel for the motivation for the young Pacers right now. Their core players are young/improved and stayed in tact for many years. They're playing like it's their time right now.

Again LeBron chokes, on defense, giving space to Jeff Green to sink that three.

NovU, another streak was what I was thinking about looking at the fixture of Miami. But they just stumbled with the Celtics, so...maybe not just now.

As for the Pacers, it's their time now all right. But they got the Bulls and Knicks coming up next week, so maybe Rose or Melo will be the guys who break that happy streak.

76ers fan, don't discredit LeBron there, only credit Green. No defender could've stopped that, it was just one of those times.

Before you judge Westbrook, Nene got into his face deliberately prior to this incident. Pissed off Thunder came back to win the game without Westbrook.

This just in: Larry Sanders is a goddamn moron.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/bucks-f-sa ... --nba.html

Milwaukee Bucks forward Larry Sanders had surgery on Monday to repair a torn ligament in his right thumb suffered in bar fight.

The team announced that Sanders is expected to be sidelined about six weeks.

Sanders got a new four-year, $44 million deal from the Bucks in the offseason.

He averaged 27.3 minutes, 9.8 points, 9.5 rebounds and 2.8 blocks for the Bucks last season. But this year in three games, all starts, he is averaging 17.3 minutes, 2.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.0 blocks under new coach Larry Drew.

Sanders issued a statement on Friday in response to reports of his involvement in a fight.

It read: "I want to start by saying I put myself in a bad situation over the weekend. I didn't make the best decisions down the stretch, but I would like to apologize to my fans here and Sen. Kohl, who I will talk to directly. I've talked to the team and apologized to them, just for shedding a negative light on our team and our organization.

"It's not what we're about at all; it's not who we are. It's not what we stand for. I offer my apologies to everyone, especially the fans. I know they put a lot on me and they count on me a lot.

"For everyone I let down, I'm going to get better, going to be better. I'm going to get better at this, on and off the court. I'm going to come back better. I just thank everyone for their concerns and being patient with me."

Wow, I was starting to wonder where the heck he was because he wasn't playing games with no injury report.

Anyways, what a nice game by Lin. Looks like McHale wants him to start from bench so minutes don't overlap too much with another ball heavy Harden.

If you're the Bucks, you're certainly hoping that Sanders has learned his lesson and will grow up/improve his attitude, with this being his last major indiscretion. There's talent and promise there, but that's the kind of stuff that can quickly derail careers before they really get a chance to get going.

They'll just miss the Playoffs after trying hard all season, leading karma to deliver them the number one pick against all odds.

Lin's effective when he has the ball, being somewhat the centerpiece of the offense.

Both guys are undervalued by their teams, Shumpert should do very good as the new starting SG in Denver.

Marc Berman: Steve Mills is indeed exploring Shumpert trades for frontcourt help but doesn't appear Nuggets have interest in dealing Faried. Twitter @NYPost_Berman

Nuggets probably need Faried more than Shumpert at the moment especially when McGee's lost to an injury, Wilson Chandler due back very tonight, Galinari due back in Jan or Feb, you just have no better reason to let go of a good big man for an average wing man. It's an odd move for the Nuggets but this should make the Knicks a bit better team. You just have every reason to be happy whenever Bargnani's minutes are replaced.

Great deal for the Knicks if they can pull it off. Shumpert probably would be an upgrade for the Nuggets in the backcourt, but it's not worth gutting their frontcourt by giving up The Manimal.

i would say its more truth than anything. all anyone has said is they are tanking when its pretty clear they are not, trading away assets before they are worthless is far different than tanking. they tanked once and it back fired big time lol

My good ole friend Sauru, I assure you you have nothing to worry about. This squad can play .400 (or, hell even .350) ball until Rondo's return, they might have just enough of a shot at a seven/eight seed that Rajon could play with a chip on his shoulder and play Boston just out of playoffs by tiny little, just as JinxDrew suggests. It's not going to take much to jump from third/fourth in the lottery to first or tenth.
