The Hollywood Nights theme in part acknowledges the celebrities like Jack Nicholson that have long supported the team, but also serves as a nod to the huge number of people that work behind the scenes to make up one of L.A.'s biggest industries.

Porn industry.

Next season, they'll introduce their "Boogie Nights" alternate.

Kobe Bryant was asked about his surprise level when Dwight Howard left: "Honestly, man, I don't really give a s---. It is what it is. "

True, true. That chapter is done with.

Glad to have Jordan Farmar back in LA, he seems capable of running the pick and roll quite well. Also hoping Xavier Henry can stick around for some time, I want him to have a good year, liked him in Memphis & NO.

Xavier Henry with 29 pts. against GSW?

Re: Lakers Thread

Just finished the game, he seems like he could be a pretty good defender too.

And it's the preseason, he was playing against a lot of GSW scrubs...although they did play pretty well against the GSW normal players. But again...preseason folks.

And yet in just 1 game, the Lakers have out done the team from last year. Last year's team was 0-8. hahaha

Re: Lakers Thread

They play more like a team, Nash was being interviewed and said there's a better atmosphere.

But seeing D'Antoni's puzzled look still irritates.

And Sacre with 8 rebounds? I guess he's gonna get more minutes...

....in the preseason.

Wow. Two consecutive good performances for Xavier Henry. MIP candidate?? Kidding.

They showed at least that they are able to win preseason games...

As one could see last night against the Kings, Nash still seems to have ankle problems.
He's one of my favorite players but his last season was disastrous and maybe it's time for him to retire more sooner than later...

Lakers will be better this year! Kobe will be resurrected. Kaman will show Dwight how to play center in a Lakers uniform, hey even a caveman can do it.

No, they won't.

Re: Lakers Thread

People think D'Antoni will turn this Lakers team into those Nash Suns team when this Lakers team could easily turn into that D'Antoni Knicks team.

They out hustled, out shot, and basically ran over the Clips. I'm going to say that this game was a fluke. It's not going to look like this throughout the season.

xavier henry and the two jordans happened.

@king mellow, Are you ready to polish up the MIP trophy and hand it to xavier henry now? :D

I think it happens that scouts sometimes are too focused on star players and starters that they forget about the bench players. Like in this game, the Lakers did not insert the starters back in the 4th qtr. I still don't think this will set the tone for the season, but it is a good sign for the Lakers franchise.

Boohoo. This was just the "don't hide our banners, motherfuckers" rage. But interesting.
