PC Community Challenge - PC vs Next Gen

Operation Sports has been posting comparison screenshots of current and next gen NBA 2K14.

I was wondering if we, the PC community, wanted try and outdo what we see from next gen graphically. So try to take screenshots with as similar as possible players, expressions, and camera angles as Xbone/PS4 screenshots. Let's see how close we can get to next gen.
Opinions are my own.

Next gen Durant seemed to have too many sandwiches.

There is no way anybody can make anything close on the PC like that, AmaroWade and his awesome cyber faces come the closest, and even they are a big difference from the next gen.... the texture work on next gen is ridiculous, that Ray Allen could look like real life with a few minor lighting tweaks, and just look at the NBA logo differences, the Heat letters, my goodness

with that said, I can't wait for 2K15 to come to PC so then I could see how good some of these modders really are, there is soooooo much potential there because of the new engine 2K is using

"There is no way anybody can make anything close on the PC like that,"

Of course someone can make it. PC's can render realistic looking humans.

Can it run on PC? Yup. Mid-high end PCs have more power than PS4 or Xbox One.

commish This thread is a challenge for someone to make the PC version of 2K14 look like the next gen consoles version is it not ? we're not talking about what's more powerful a console or a PC....
The thread is a challenge for guys to take screenshots of their PC versions of 2K14 (modded) and try to make them look better than the next gen screenshots posted above....

That's what we're talking about here, and that's why I said it's impossible, because they're 2 different engines, the next gen 2K engine is way better than what we have now, even in super high resolutions, the PC version of 2K14 will look noticeably worse

I mean here here is Amaro Wade's Ray Allen face, he's easily the best CF maker out there and his Ray still looks like shlt compared to next gen version

Can they make it? Yes. Can they make it with the current gen engine? No.

I think that was the point.

This image basically sums up what next gen models can do. Life like.

Seems like we can add some more red to the shadows or lighting and change it to what Pooh had last year in his 2k11 style global. We can get a good resemblance to next gen. Remove the muscle and high sweat. Me, Razor and Kidow can probably match the realness with a global like this.

NBA 2k8 had the same type of graphics that Next Gen 2k14 has. Just next gen has everything updated.

I was not simplifying the next gen engine... I'm just saying that 2k13 and 2k14 on this current gen are probably the least impressive games in the series since the generation began when it comes to graphics

Are you serious, look at the body models and textures styles. 2k8 resembles next gen in alot of ways. Imagine putting the higher polygon models of next gen into 2k8. No one is simplifying anything, we are just being honest. Just because they throw a new name on to something doesn't mean anything. You consumers believe anything people tell you. If we had 2k8 on PC i think modders could of matched next gen probably up to 65 to 70%. Player models are bigger and smooth in next gen same as 2k8. Lighting is really good in next gen same as 2kk8, just next gen has more room to work with. For all we know Eco-motion can be the same engine as 2k8 but improved up to current specs and capabilities. There is nothing wrong with that, i enjoyed NBA 2k8 alot, i still play the game. I wish i can add new rosters and dribble stick to the game. Im glad they went that route. :D

As for me, NBA 2K9 is even better in this context (with hi-res textures on PC, with the similar swaying jerseys as a next-gen version have in contrast to next NBA2Ks on PC). I think if 2K9 PC continuing to support, it would be like today neхt-gen in my opinion :|

well if you guys cant do 2k14 next gen would it at least be possible to do live 14? i mean the court doesn't even need to be perfect i just want to see if its possible to get the player models. also the fact that lives graphics are a bit simpler might help.
