Blacktop Revitalization - 4K Unis and Generic Tester - New Backboards!

Since we are limited to 1 Blacktop Court per roster I wanted to have an in-game solution to use the many street courts I have created throughout the years in Blacktop Mode. To choose a Blacktop Court, simply load the roster named after the court you wish to use (for example "bt Back Bay Fens, BOS-MB" will load the Back Bay Fens court from Boston, while "bt fFf Summer Series-MB" will load the court from the Fly Fatboy Fly summer season). Coupled with bigh0rt's amazing Street Gear, this becomes a very fun street mod that can be easily updated throughout the year!

As Always, None Of This Will Overwrite Original NBA 2K14 Files!

So will that day time court be included or is it just a theme geared toward night time?

Your Mod intrigues me the most because its like just going to the park to hoop in random clothing, since its street will every player have random clothing whole playing BT mode or will it be team base

Looking forward to it. Hopefully on this blacktop mode the players won't be locked into the wrong positions. No more of Isiah Thomas posting up Patrick Ewing or Shaq spotting up at the 3 point line. It's unfortunate what 2K did here, this is the one negative in an otherwise terrific game.

But yes! This is the next iteration of Blacktop Revitalization, my annual mod that makes Blacktop Mode more enjoyable. This year, we have the fantastic street gear by bigh0rt which is currently required for the mod.

Right now I only have 2 downloads available, bigh0rt's uniforms, and a starter pack for those who already have both Midnight Ballers mods installed. There are 64 courts within those 2 versions of the mod, and that is just the beginning of this mod.

First, I will be creating individual downloads for each of those courts released within Midnight Ballers. They will include a roster and the court files. Again, the roster requires bigh0rt's uniforms, so make sure you have that downloaded.

Then I can make and release whatever I want! As shown in the first post, I have an empty Rucker Park ready to be released (I need to make the roster and download, obviously). I also plan on creating rosters for the hidden 2K courts (draft combine, summer league, practice gym), some current and retro NBA arenas (MSG, Staples Center, Great Western Forum, etc), updated versions of 2K's Rucker Park ('13 EBC, '12 EBC, Classic), my 2K12 Street Courts, my initial court creation test courts (YT Pickup Series, Car Lit, Shitty Beach), and anything else I make throughout the year!

And yes, I plan on being DONE with the Midnight Ballers style courts/arenas! They have served their purpose, it is something I wanted to do for a LONG time, and I feel like I am finished with that style. Everything I make in the future will have an environment!

if you have both Midnight Ballers mods installed (or if you download both Midnight Ballers Mods) you can get the courts from there and the Midnight Ballers Starter Pack from the first post to get uniforms and all the roster files.

So I figured out how to remove the orange tint from Blacktop Mode, as well as bring back the Nighttime shadows from the hidden Rucker Night in 2k13/2k12. I'm working on figuring out how it all works, but right now I can do the following.

Orange/Small Crowd Noise/Day Shadows
Orange/Large Crowd Noise/Day Shadows
Orange/Large Crowd Noise/Stadium Shadows
No Orange/Large Crowd Noise/Day Shadows
No Orange/Large Crowd Noise/Night Shadows

Working on how to customize all that....if I can. Even if I do, I am not planning on updating all the Midnight Ballers courts to remove the orange as I'd have to redo all 64 rosters, and update all the downloads. Maybe I will when RED MC comes out, and maybe I will do it by request, but not right now. Trying to distance myself from MB-type courts and work on getting some other stuff updated and new, like this,

I can also now make Blacktop Courts with...

Night Player Lighting - Arena Shadows - No Orange - Large Crowd
Day Player Lighting - Arena Shadows - No Orange - Large Crowd

This means I can now do the courts that use a floor file without the orange filter. Meaning Blacktop mode inside stadiums won't look weird with that orange tint!

I think that is the last of the templates I plan on taking on, so now it is time to bring in some of my old courts for this.

I'm interested in this, maybe now I will be able to add a crowd to the Attack Athletics Gym from 2k13. That gym has no crowd but I would love to re-release my "Brave New World" mod with all the versions of the re-textured Attack Athletics Gym. The only bad part about those gyms were no crowds.

Also using the Attack Athletics gym with a crowd could be useful for the NCAA and high school mods.

Unfortunately, you can only add crowd members to courts that already have them. I tried the same thing to the practice and draft combine gyms, but it wouldnt work. You guys would be better suited to grab the walls from a full stadium and make a small gym inside the NBA arena, if you know what I mean.
