thanks for the nlsc exclusive info andrew. I'm disappointed..but hopefully more than 50% of the new shooting animations will be in 5-on-5.

And the good thing is ... he has just signed a deal with the Hornets for the next two years. So I have a chance of him being nominated to the Dunk contest in my Hornets dynasty :D.

Anyway ... this dunkcontest looks freakin awesome. Now I cant wait to get the game. And I am already planning on getting some friends with a beamer over and play this on the GameCube. This should be lots of fun ...

If they now also improve the dynasty mode a bit I am more than happy.

There will however be a great deal of dunks available in 5-on-5 mode (apparently 20,000).

To address another question/rumour, there will be no "Freestyle Dunk Mode" in addition to the Dunk Contest.

Man that sucks, the shooting styles not being in the 5 on 5 mode. :(
Good to hear that all the flashy dunks will be limited to the dunk contest though.

Hmmm. You think some DBF editing could do make it happen?

This is actually adding questions. Do they mean there won't be Freestyle Dunk in the game, or that there won't be a Freestyle Dunk Mode. Because in the IGN Video (5on5) the first thing they show is freestyle air.

Sure 720 may seem impossible, but people thought dunkin from foul line was impossible... what i'm saying is that, in about 5 to 10 years, there WILL be someone who can pull off 720 + between the legs + cartwheel BELIEVE IT. nothing is impossible. Thats why i think this game is unique... not too Arcadish.

By the way, i dont know about yall but I really like that T-Mac's dunk after a spin move... (3rd footage)[/b]

There won't be a Freestyle Dunk Mode ie. an alternate dunk contest mode. Freestyle Air is in the game and so is the dunk contest, but there won't be a second dunk contest mode (called Freestyle Dunk Mode) that was rumoured to be in the game. Sorry for the confusion.

I doubt it, but apparently some of the styles for three point shots (about five or so) have made it into the 5-on-5 gameplay.

I wonder how the judging would be for the different dunks.
A think that would sure do suck would be if it would be simular to the awards-motor from last year. (Most improved player with 0.7 pp/g and 1,2 rp/g.)
If every time someone does a lob-pass the score evedently inceases with 1.x times. that would be a little simple i think.
I think that would be one of the hardest things to do with the dunk-contest. Getting a evenly judged score for each one.
