And theyre not even in my team.. And other teams as well.. But they dont really in the Association.. just in the box scores. Guys like Dell Curry, Nick Van Excel and other retro players that arent big names.

Go aaaaaaaall the way down and you'll see more names — names of players who opted out of the NBA or suddenly retired (read: hidden). The blank slots in between those groups are, unfortunately, still a gray area for most roster makers.
After the last guy on the celebrity team, there are like about 150 slots of guys all numbered 0 with no tendencies and hotspots. These are used for cloned Create-A-Team players. Then somewhere there is a single slot for which a potential MyCareer player could be encoded. After that, there is like 199 slots for Create-A-Players. There are a lot more of those, actually, but you can't create them in-game without crashing to your desktop. After those slots come the hidden players.
Sorry for the lack of exact numbers, but from what I remember, here's that sequence:
- Code: Select all
Current Players
Retro Teams
USA Teams
Celeb Team
Create-A-Team Clones
MyCareer Player
Create-A-Player Slots (199)
More Create-A-Player Slots (can't be overwritten in-game)
Hidden Players
My point is, Medevenx must have overridden some slots which are to be used for proper Association and the like modes. That's what must have been causing the glitches and inconsistencies everyone is seeing.
I don't think 2K designed the rosters to last that long. Gigabyte is correct there are only 1400+ players available and the information cannot accumulate as much as it's supposed to. There are limits to the slots for stats as well so it's going to keep eating information from other slots just to make room for new ones.

I'll release the association mode in a few hours once I trade the draft picks. The roster file will look EXACTLY like that, except it will be a .ROS file, rather than a .FXG file. Obviously, some player stats for retro players will be overwritten (oops), so it'll mostly only be good for the 30 NBA teams. I don't necessarily know how I could make a changelog at this point, considering I've changed thousands of things, but here are the fields in the players tab that I did change:
Height, Weight, BirthDate (not sure if I did or not), YearsPro will be +1, DraftedBy, DraftYear, DraftPos, DraftRound, Number, StatY0, all GameHighCar, and Contracts
--> Also, I added this years awards and changed teamstats to reflect this year, as well. Obviously, any changes that needed to be made to convert the Bobcats to the Hornets were made, too.
Hopefully you can just copy-paste the tabs out of the association mode. If you don't have full RedMC, I suppose I can send you an excel file of the tabs.
I'll test it out when I can!
