Sony went the Xbox Live GOLD way of restricting multiplayer to subscribed members for "less than $5 a month". So no free multiplayer. Other than that, what Benji said. Should've dropped the mic and left the stage right after "no restrictions on used games, you can trade, sell, lend freely, no need to check in periodically, features won't be disabled after 24 hours of not checking in." Wasn't expecting Sony to go so positively the other way on so many of Microsoft's restrictions.

so they are going to nickel & dime us for $50 a year? wonder how much more PS+ will be, might as well get some free games out of it

Seems like the PS4 will be around $550 AUS, as per the PlayStation Australia Twitter. That's fairly reasonable given the usual inflated cost of games and hardware, I was concerned it might be in the $800-1000 range.

Destructoid confirmed in this Killer Instinct preview, that while the fighter is free to all, you have to pay individually for new and returning characters. That’s a payment per character, but the specific cost has not been confirmed, so don’t start worrying just yet, as they could be dirt cheap

Spec sheets already confirm XBONE to be 65% larger than the PS4.

Also PS4 has no power brick, it's an internal PSU and this is TBD for XBONE.

I'm not sure how the PS4 can be so small. It's also very light at 2.8kg or 6lbs. Compare that to launch PS3 at 7kg or 15lbs... PS4 is only 40% of PS3 weight.

so i have been reading around the net and many people think sony won in every way except the exclusives. what do you guys think? i have never been a halo fan so to me that one didnt mean much, plus they didnt actually show anything from it. sony didnt really show any exclusives and the few they did show i could care less about. really the only one that stood out to me could be a hit or miss with me and that was project spark. that game looked like it had potential but the entire time i just kept saying "man i hope i can play that on a pc". mistake to not show any top of the line ps4 exclusives or did sony really only have to be cheaper and not have all the fucked up shit microsoft is forcing on people?

Didn't see any enticing exclusives either way to force my hand. I'll be missing out on Forza, but oh well, I'll find another driving game to play. Maybe Driveclub ends up being good after all (other than impressive graphically), or I'll just wait for whatever is the first Gran Turismo that reaches the PS4.

thats my thinking, neither system showed me a game that i had to have. well i guess microsoft did with metal gear and sony did with elder scrolls online but neither of those are exclusive. so if neither can show me a game that only they have that i must play then it comes down to the systems themselves and that is where sony destroyed the xbox. my wife loved the bit about it having redbox streaming. i was like "yeah you can get that anywhere i am sure" and she goes "do you want me to agree to let you buy this or what?" so yeah i shut my mouth and said its damn good they have redbox streaming lol

Sony still have Santa Monica Studios(God of War), Naughty Dog(Uncharted), Media Module(LittleBigPlanet). Sony likes to release the big games after E3 I guess.

The only games I've played in the last five years that weren't NBA or WWE are the Batman games, so that's pretty much always my position (except for the year SDvRAW went next-gen and was a 360 exclusive (remember that?), but the 360 was probably the console I'd have got anyway).

Darn it just when i thought about making a switch to sony, they are charging to pay for online multiplayer xbox way, that sucks considering i am only playing online occasionally. Sony dropped the ball for me with that move, i guess neither company will get my $$$ this time around
