Jersey creating question

I am fairly new to modding and I dont how you edit the actual jersey design. For example if i want to make a jersey that looks like Duke how do i get that design. I understand how to edit colors but what do i do after i export it from the mod tool to gimp. Also how do i add logos onto the jersey and shorts

you add it into the texture you are editing in GIMP.

Take a look at a bunch of NBA uniforms in GIMP after exporting the textures from the iff files with a mod tool. See how all the logos are there? Basically you make the texture look how you want it to look in game and that is it. Just know that numbers are a different texture in the iff file

use the duke jersey from the NCAA mod as your base!
