All-Time Teams

Sat Apr 06, 2013 2:09 am

Has anyone here tried to work on an accurate all-time teams roster? There's one out now, but there are some significant players missing, like Dr. J for the 76ers, and Wes Unseld for the Wizards. Wouldn't it be nice to have a comprehensive all-time best roster, including duplicates (e.g., Kareem on the Bucks and the Lakers, Wilt with the Warriors, 76ers, and the Lakers)? If anyone here has started work on it and is having trouble with player ratings, stats, etc, I'll be happy to help. I'm an NBA geek, don't worry. Just not a tech guy though, but I'd be happy to do the research and come up with the best all-time rosters for each team.

I'm guessing that Gigabyte will be able to do more with his all-time roster once REDitor is out.

It would be nice though if 2k had a legends roster pool like in the NBA Live games.

It would be, but they've got to have the rights to include them in the game first. For example, they had Dr J. in NBA 2K12 but couldn't come to an agreement to include him in NBA 2K13.

i'm still pretty baffled at the relative ease of EA had with acquiring licenses. I mean, they had guys like Kareem, Dr. J, Bob Pettit, Cousy, and most legends.... except for Jordan. -_-

They did have Jordan from 2000-2004, though they lost a couple of legends along the way (such as Barkley and Jerry West) when they couldn't secure or renew their agreement with them. Times change, people change their minds and may ask for too much money or just not be interested.

I wonder though how 2k12 for the PSP had absolutely everyone on the retro teams, instead place holders. They also had the decade teams from the 50s to the 90s that also was comprehensive, from players like George Mikan to Xavier McDaniel.
