You will never know until it actually happens.

If the Spurs are healthy everything says they will violate the shit out of this Lakers team. They would even if this Lakers team rolled into town healthy.
Do the Spurs have some kind of cloak? Is this why everyone doesn't seem to notice them until they go batshit insane on the league every year?
Of course "anything can happen" but the only reason we aren't penciling in Heat vs. Spurs is because of the Thunder's ability to go at the Spurs specifically.
Don't forget it's an odd year.

That's all logical.
What I'm looking forward to see is how far Denver will go this year. They have really developed as a team and there seems to no stopping them at the moment. They will be facing Clippers or Grizzlies in the playoffs...so, interesting.
Go JaVale!

That's just honest defense by Jones. I see no wrong on that. It's just bad luck for Kobe to land on Jones' foot.
Honest defense? Yeah he might not have had the intention of injuring Kobe but like I said you should NEVER go under a shooter, every player should be aware of that by now, I mean come on man it's just common sense. Bad luck? Where the hell else was he going to land his foot when Dahntay Jones is right under him?

Would have been epic if the mamba slithered off the court.

Man, Kobe was so dope & pissed in that postgame interview

Both Kobe fans and Kobe need to stop acting butt hurt. Look at Dwight this season, just suck it up and play.

Dude Kobe's been sucking it up and playing throughout his career, he's always played through any injury he can play through so if he does miss any games this season it's not going to be because he doesn't wanna play but because he can't.

Mike James shouldn't be allowed to get the ball in the fourth quarter. I wonder why Rick Carlisle prefer to play old guys instead of developing the younger ones.

Big deal. Bynum played without knees and look what happened to him now. Brandon Roy played without knees entire career and still want to play kneeless. This is mens' league. Everyone plays if and when they think they can. Why is it that everything about Kobe has to be overblown/hyped. It's like his fans think his pinkie finger issue required some sort of (several years of)hyperextended treatment or something.

Soooooooo we went from talking about Kobe needing to suck it up and play to everything about Kobe being overhyped? Stop hating man, for real, I mean it's a proven fact that he plays through injuries like many other players in the league but what's with singling him out? And this issue is big right now because Kobe is a superstar and the leader of a Laker team fighting for a playoff spot, that's why it is being "overblown/hyped" because it is big news that has many implications not only for the Lakers but for the league.

The Lakers are just fine with/without Kobe in the line up. They will win and lose the games they're supposed to. As long as UTA does what they do right now.
Sat Mar 16, 2013 2:26 am
My fellow NovU, just can't agree with this statement "The Lakers are just fine with/without Kobe in the line up"
If Kobe wasn't about, Lakers would probably be competing fiercely with Hornets, Suns, Kings & Wolves right about now.
Sat Mar 16, 2013 3:03 am
The Lakers right now(w/o Kobe) are capable of beating mediocre teams anyways. Besides even with Kobe, I can't remember the last time when they beat a good team. And who shot the Lakers out of shorthanded Hawks game? When he's on, he's great. When he's not, it absolutely hurts the team and costs the game.
You don't have to agree. Just believe when it happens.
Sat Mar 16, 2013 11:38 am
The unthinkable is actually happening right now. The Lakers are winning without Kobe

Meanwhile, the Heat are going for 21 in a row, and the Nuggets are going for 11.
Sat Mar 16, 2013 12:40 pm
I don't even know why the Lakers even put Kobe on the floor today. Absolute deadweight on both ends. They were really lucky to be only down by 3 after the first quarter. Well... I guess it was a good story for the media though. They were constantly praising about his strong mindset for playing through an injury, even though it's clearly a bad frigging thing to do both for himself and the team.

Because you can't trust young guys, they might screw up.
Sat Mar 16, 2013 3:23 pm
With their win over Memphis, Denver is now only half a game away from the third seed. Koufos is showing that he was quite an underrated part of the Melo trade, with 18 and 16.
Sat Mar 16, 2013 5:03 pm
I caught couple of Nuggets games lately(mostly to see Wilson Chandler), and I was pleasantly surprised in all of their games I watched. Everyone seemed be contributing and effort level(on both ends) was just out of this world. It almost seemed opponent tired themselves out, trying to match Nuggets' high energy level. From Andre Miller's post play to Faried's putback, a lot of diversity in their offense, just extremely fluent and that seemed to keep opponent on heel most of time.
And they beat one of the top defensive teams in Grizzlies(who were also hot) tonight in grind out game. They certainly are on the right path at the right time.

Bullshit
Roddy B, Darren Collison and Brandon Wright all played great against Cleveland.

You were supposed to answer "but the old guys screw up" so I could say "yes, but I trust them to do that, I can't trust these young guys."
